Chapter 20 I Want Children, Do You?

If he'd told her that he didn't want children that day in the car, she would've gone with her plan of aborting the child in her womb in secret so that he would never find out.

So she couldn't deny that she hadn't thought of a backup plan, now that the child was gone.

The man's grip on her jaw tightened and his expression was so overcast she could almost see lightning flash across this face. His tone was still indifferent, but every word he spoke wounded her soul. "Do you think I can't afford or don't know how to raise a child? What if I'd changed my mind and said I wanted a child back then, would you have kept it?" he interrogated.

Emily darted her eyes and looked away.

She really wanted kids, but what use was it to talk about it now?

She was unsure if he'd put the blame on himself if she said yes.

"Look me in the eyes and answer me!" he barked and forcefully moved her face back to look at him. His gaze chilled her to the bone.
