Love in a place where fingers mean world [BL]

“He was standing at the edge of the rooftop, looking down at the ground. It looked like paradise. Full of trees, lawns, kids playing happily outside. He looked at them with jealousy. "Fall back, fall back," Chao commanded and Yitian hurried to get away from the monster. He was too close, in his range of damage and this was the third time that he was struck by a bolt of lightning, eating up one-fifth of his HP. And Yitian was pissed about that. That weapon of his was pretty shitty. It had powerful DP, but its range was too short.

He fell back again because the boss had targeted him and ran towards him. Chao attacked the monster, but their weapons were too low-level for this kind of boss. So they both ended up dead soon.

"Heck, I think we really need a team for this," Chao said. They played for three hours and they managed to get over level twenty pretty quickly. But now, they got stuck at that quest of clearing the instance. Like come on, do they really have to pair with complete strangers?

"What about a healer? And buy better equipment first?" Yitian asked. Chao looked into the shop and his eyebrows rose to heaven.

"What's up with those prices? Why is everything so expensive?" Chao was shocked. Yitian slid on a chair next to Chao, to look at what he saw and was puzzled. Those weapons were priced above millions. They both looked at the lower level weapons. Still prices around million gold.

"Hey, we can take gold-level equipment after we are over level forty. That's shitty." Chao exclaimed. Yitian thought for a while, both were quiet. Then suddenly he got an idea.

"Hey, you can run around collecting materials and I can forge the armor we need. Then we would have to buy only weapons. You can collect some herbs for potions too. And I will level up my forging skills." Yitian slid back to his computer and ran to smithy. Now they finally understood why there were so many people around smithy and materials. They HAD to forge things by themselves, and make money by selling to be able to buy other things. This game worked similarly to the real world. That was creepy. But exciting at the same time.

It was already late at night when Chao noticed Yitian rubbing his eyes. He totally forgot that the poor boy wasn't used to looking at the screen for so long. Without a word, he got up and went to his room. He took out eye drops from his drawer and went back. Chao put them before Yitian.

"One drop into each eye and go to sleep. We don't want to damage your eyes." Chao said and his reward was a big grin on Yitian's face.

"Thanks. I will just rest my eyes for a bit in the chair. I don't want to be too behind you…" Yitian smiled once again, put the eye drops in both eyes, made the chair lean back, and closed eyes. Chao plugged in headphones so as not to disturb Yitian's rest and focused on collecting materials and brewing potions. It took him long enough to get at the same level as his character was, but he finally finished for today.

He took off his headphones, turned around to talk to Yitian but he saw him huddled in the chair, sleeping. He was breathing lightly and once in a while he made an adorable snoring sound. He looked and sounded so much like a puppy, that Chao involuntarily smiled at his cuteness. He watched Yitian for a while deciding whether to let him sleep in the chair or take him to his room.

He decided to take him to his room. The gaming chair was maybe comfortable, but he would still wake up with back pain. Chao scooped up Yitian into a princess hug, that light he was, but Chao noticed he was slightly heavier than last time. He looked down at his sleeping face smiling, being happy that Yitian was healing from his abuse. When the door opened and Yixing came in. He stopped in the middle of his walking with his mouth gaping open.

"No, I don't wanna know what's happening. Just continue." He shook his head and continued walking to his own room, leaving there embarrassed Chao.

Chao knew exactly how absurd it looked, carrying a boy in his arms, but somehow, he wasn't bothered by it as much as he thought he would be. He did not care about him being seen with Yitian.

He continued walking to Yitian's room and struggled for a moment to open them. But he managed to do it in the end. He put Yitian in his bed, covered with a blanket, and walked away.

Chao then sat back by computer and logged off his game. He wanted to do the same with Yitian's but he noticed his name. Gunner with the name SIG? That wasn't so interesting. He thought that Yitian would choose something more poetic. But one never knows. He named himself Doom, it meant something that Yitian will never know. Maybe SIG meant something too for Yitian, he just hid it too well. Because no matter how hard Chao thought about it, he couldn't think of anything.

He logged off Yitian too when he got a message from his brother: 'Careful. She plans something.' Chao did not have to be a genius to know who 'she' was. He looked at the door to Yitian's room. Why couldn't she leave him alone? What was the problem? Chao knew that Yitian was afraid to hurt her. That's why he never did anything. But why was his mom like this? One will never know what others have in their minds. But needless to say that he was a bit afraid of Yitian's safety in school. He couldn't be there to save him if something were to happen.

'Send a bodyguard for him. You know who.' He sent back to his brother. Now, he wouldn't be afraid that something would happen. Because he would entrust his own life to this guard, that already saved him once.
