CHAPTER 24

James was sleeping peacefully beside Charles late at night the doctor already prepare an injection which will erase Charles memory and make him forget everything about himself the doctor tiptoe as he enter Charles ward quietly he move closer to Charles and injected the drug into his arms he is unconscious he won't feel it anyway after injecting it into his body he tiptoe back and live the ward, Charles mind and brain was now in chaos every special moment he spent with James was now moving back like there were backwarding a movie every moment with James was erasing as he saw James trance waving at him he stood still for a while as the sound of his heartbeat fill the room going back to the trance moment of the most special person in his life were also moving back but this time it is a slow motion he saw himself holding her hand not wanting to let go but he eventually let it go a tear drop from his eyes as his finger move he is getting conscious again.

Days pass Charles was still not waking up his body was doing well but he still haven't gain conscious it like she is refusing to wake up Klara became so worry maybe it because of the drug the doctor inject into his body to erase his memory maybe he will never wake up she said to herself but the doctor reassure her that he will wake up but it will take some time to finally clear his memory James also visit him everyday and chat to him about the things that were going on in the palace but every time he do tears roll down his cheek knowing he won't remember him when he wakes up he always hold his hand and rub his hair telling him every day 'you have to come back for Tina and you have be selfish and live for yourself' this was the word he always say to him before he leave James want him to wake up it been three days now he should have wake up the most amazing news James told him is that the king cancel his wedding with Klara which has always been what he wanted but still there was no sign of him waking up James just want him to wake up there is a battle to fight ahead of him he has to show the prime minister that he is not a weak child.

Days later Klara was opening the window in his ward she bow him breakfast but to her surprise James was already there watching over his friend James stare at him and he thought of what he could do to make him wake up then he bring out his phone and connect to the mp3 he play the song 'can you feel the love tonight' and Charles finger twitched Klara saw it and her eyes widen she call James her father the doctor and the king and everyone rush inside Charles slowly open his eyes "thank God Charles is waking up he is waking up dad" Klara said full of excitement Klara James prime minister and the king circle around him as Charles was waking up James switch off the song as he stare at his friend he knew this will work the doctor check on her vital organ and he sigh in relieve he is now out of danger Charles eyes blink looking down at the people before him until his eyes become clear he open his mouth to speak but nothing came out he stare at all of them like they were new faces he has never seen before the prime minister was actually satisfy with that his money didn't go on waste all of them wear the same expression expect from the guy staying beside the king he look so worried and heartbroken "Klara?" He call out suddenly as Klara and prime minister eyes widen they look shock as they look at each other 'dammit the doctor dupe them he didn't do anything to erase Charles memory' he said to himself and clear his throat Klara move closer to him and hold his hand "am glad you are awake now Charles you did well Charles" she said looking excited the doctor remove the oxygen in Charles nose as they help him sit on the bed he inhale as he look around "dad" he said giving the prime minister shock again Charles close his eyes he has been sleeping for so long James move closer to him and smile at him "you did well buddy" James patted his shoulder as Charles stare at him with curiosity like he has never seen him before James was not surprised he was actually expecting it but he was heartbroken his friend may never remember him again but he just have to be his best friend again 'but why did he remembers Klara his dad and the prime minister why did he forget me why?' he question himself "doctor why can't my son remember his best friend" the king ask "your majesty he got a partial anesthesia it just for a short period of time" he said as the king sigh in relieve Klara tilt her head as she look at Charles with curiousity 'now there is only one thing to figure out' "Charles Tina wants to meet you"

"Huh! Tina? Who is she?" Klara and the prime minister look at each other and smirk wickedly at each other.
