Only as far as chapter 17 the underlying premise sounds good but the author already has created a few issues that will hopefully be addressed and fixed. To start with is not big thing just a detail that could have been used in the world building itself, everyone awakens at 18 years old but every student in the grade awakens on the same day so instead of it being an age thing it should be portrayed as some kind of yearly external energy stimulation that after after experiencing x amount of times one would awaken. The author can't count even in the first two chapters and it gets compounded as time goes on, lords can summon 2 units/ day during their 30 day mental period, awakening summon 2 units next day go to school come home summon 2 units go to school take the test and still only have 2 units instead of 4? Guess he just wanted to make it difficult with the cooldown time on charm skill. Finish test go home summon 2 more, misc. things about getting rewards and people coming to him take up another day or two next time we get a count of his units there should be 8-10 or more but there's still only 4. He's probably going to pull some shenanigans because at this pace he's already reduced the incredibly important and vital 60 units that a lord gets for free during the 30 day post awakening period Onto power levels not much clear info on power levels but it looks like a combination of static troop tier with levels within the tiers there really should have been an info dump in the first 5 chapters about how what tier/level can correspond to what tier/level and how rare certain troop tiers are, The way the talk and treat it so far is the only way to upgrade a tier is via mutation and levels themselves can be gained the monsters consuming resources, which it seems like or protagonist has the knowledge that he should upgrading as fast as possible but he's not, unless the units consuming resources to upgrade can only be done while he is focusing on his mental castle.
with the exception of a few things its the same as all the previous. You read it hoping it will break the mold and do things differently but end up let down. I would love to give these type of novels a zero star rating just because it's been beaten to death on trial reads but compared to the really bad novels on here I have to give some credit and put this at mediocre.
The more u read the more the quality drops, at this point it's not even gender that gets mixed up. It's who is in what side, plotting against each other and then the enemy be like this is our strategy the opposite side will definitely win. Hello? Why make a strategy for the other side to win? Are u tired of living? Literally, every time. it's clear they gave up on what little quality control this novel had during trial read Other than that, it's a very generic story that has been rerun multiple times on this site just written a bit differently. MC is bland and boring, everyone else is also bland and boring and dumb to top that off to make MC seem smart. My brain died a bit reading this, I hope my review is comprehensible. I'm too lazy to focus on grammar and quality, just like this novel.
Ch. 40 Review It's a good story. It's not a masterpiece or anything but you'll find it an enjoyable read. And for once, it has an actual translator. The MC isn't too overpowered right now, he's strong, but not too strong. He might have greater potential, but as of ch.40, he's not the strongest in the area. The MC is kind of bland. I mean, he's smart, knowledgeable, and has a good sense of what to do. But we don't really get much from him, only that's he's super smart, has a caring sister, and has a mutated succubus recrutment pool. The plot isn't complicated, in fact, it's quite simple. It's a common genre in CN novels but this is one of the better ones.
This is something I had hope for. It had a lot of potential but due to several reasons I decided to stop at chapter 94. Anyone who has first read Warlock of the Magus World then read The Wizard World should understand how I feel about this novel. After all I've already read the better version so I at least hoped this would have some good points. Unfortunately there are too many flaws (like The Wizard World). I won't go into too many details so first of all the main problem is the author. He creates the mc's troops but for certain periods he ignores the ability to increase tier and all the advantages he gives mc the mc doesn't take advantage of (like being able to skip tier 7). He also doesn't show when the succubus troops level up and tier up unless he randomly decides to mention it (once in a blue moon). Like what's the point of troop novels if we don't know most of the troops, don't understand their abilities and how it compares to others, don't know the names of most of the important troops etc. Too many things not done perfectly. At the start Elise tiered up twice in a row so I figured out the author only does it when he thinks the mc is too weak, later I confirmed it with how new troops are only added based on the situation like how 2 Lightning fallen succubus were suddenly summoned together and it never happened again until I dropped this. There's also the sudden references to China thrown in out of nowhere like the array and the 5 elemental teleportation. The mc doesn't want to attack others unprovoked, but the author has no problem making a whole Alliance decide to destroy his territory to loot him. The way Tina's ability works was really annoying. If he wanted do something do it, if not then why being it into the novel? Really a lot of minor things plus some spoilers I read and decided to drop this. But like I said most of the issues were solved perfectly in the other novel which I assume was inspired by this one. The name of the other novel is The Castle of All People: The Only Random Army Angel at the Beginning of the Game
The story starts of fine a bit of a slower starter but some where around the 90 to maybe 100 chapter mark the quality with the translation starts dropping. some of the mistake are wrong name, wrong gender and switching on how center parts are spoking (I.e going from online chat as [ ] to " " and back forth
I really enjoyed reading this in the beginning the free chapters were great but when I started paying coins after a while the quality in almost every aspect started to go down a lot it’s still readable but in my opinion it just keeps getting worse and worse. I’ll probably pick it back up later when I don’t know what to read but for now it’s no longer high up on my list.
I've been interested in these succubus stories and I like idea but the concept of what the succubus has to do with the plot is a bit confusing. A succubus is a female demon that preys on men or lost of others and the concept of a succubus reminds of final fantasy 13 crystals. but nonetheless I'm interested 😌
I'm giving this five stars because the story is great. But mostly you can actually see the translator is doing his job. Great, he's even leaving translation notes. Amazing. The characters are well written so far. The danger of the world. And overall, it's actually a very good story. Needs to be picked.
