Sea of Envy, Fields of Wrath, First Stage Conquered!

"Damn, this place really does look like Apocrypha." Yue Yang muttered to himself as he walked down one of the paths used to get around the ghostly green, 'Sea of Envy'. Hell he thought looking over the expanse dotted with grey floating stone steps, that with a color change and tentacles Mora himself wouldn't be able to differentiate. Well there was a stunning lack of books on ancient and forbidden knowledge, but let's face it, people remember the place because of the tentacles.

Alongside him was one of his Guardian Beasts, Spook The Soul Eater, that looked like a dark grey ghost freak, but even more see through. Unlike its master that was slightly perturbed by the ambiance of the place, it was quite excited. Every enemy in this stage was a soul based creature, leading it to being an alpha predator in the area. Spook had already divided itself into several bodies and the clones were racing around devouring the ghosts and other spectral beings in the area, leaving only the massive squid like blob of souls on the horizon.

Seeing the being from afar Yue Yang couldn't stop his right eye from twitching as he gave a silent prayer not to be sued for realm infringement.

He was however, still in a good mood as the puppet mice he had sent out ahead had found and opened the last treasure chest of this instance. With his auto loot system feature on the contents of the three chest had all appeared in his inventory. He wasn't interested in most of the materials or items, but a new one caught his attention.

{Envious Ring - Bronze 1}

{Invokes a desire to possess the ring on any who see it.}

Yue Yang was curious about the rings enchantment, since he could think up some clever uses for it. That was a wonderful thing about the system items he had discovered, though they were graded based on the LLS items, they weren't marked with Runes. This meant that the items could be improved further with Runes. While that might not seem amazing at the moment, it meant that if he acquired a divine item from the system he could use Ancient Runes to further improve it. It was even possible for him to forge his own divine weapons in the future. He made his way towards the only uneaten creature in the ID left and smiled at the grotesque abomination.

"Damn, you're ugly, Vile Soul is not quite a proper name for you though." Yue Yang quipped as he swung out his hand and a 8 foot spear with a jet black shaft and silver head appeared in it. The beast, not understanding the words, still chose to charge at the young boy spinning a spear in front of it. Had it been more intelligent it might have noticed the sparks of flame trailing from the spearhead as it twirled. Unfortunately for the dungeon boss, the last thing it would ever remember were 3 words and the pain of burning to nothingness. "Horizon Spear Walt's." Yue Yang called out as he disappeared and reappeared on the other side of the now dead beast. A trail of interlinked flaming circles showing his motion path slowly faded out of the air.

"Damn, this move still makes me so freaking dizzy." He complained as he sat down and meditated after throwing the purified crystal to Spooks main body. "To burn all of the infinite horizon, The ultimate spear born of flame, the perfect revolution and final waltz." As he muttered the mantra the Spear Goddess had given him when she taught him the technique, he couldn't help but frown. He hated puzzles and he was given one that he had to enlighten himself on in order to use the skill perfectly. Yue Yang finished his meditation after an hour and with a wave of his hand the ID vanished, only to be replaced by a expansive field of tall blood red grass and screams of rage and madness. He originally didn't want to come to this ID due to the noise giving him a headache, but he wasn't strong enough to ignore all the enemies he would have in this world. So he would have to put up with it and gain battle experience against all kinds of foes.

The enemies in the 'Fields of Wrath' were all large bodied creatures with aggressive temperaments that lacked any form of intelligence. Such as the normal Ranked mammoth beast that was charging towards him as soon as he entered. Yue Yang didn't even bother with the creature since it wasn't a boss monster, he dismissively waved his hand and one of Spooks clone bodies flew into and possessed the creature, turning it into a Bronze Ranked level 3 Corpse Mammoth. The same scene repeated as Yue Yang looked around for the boss as his puppet mice looked for the treasure chests. It didn't take long for either of them to finish as Yue Yang was rewarded with more crafting supplies and another Wisdom Fruit. As for the boss? It was a level 6 War Ogre under a Berserk status. He let Spook play with it for awhile as as moved his finger in the air and began to write Mortal Runes in the air. It was only five Runes, but it took him a full minute to write them and shape the effect.

{Air, Condense, Sharp, Guide, Force} {Runic Spell - Homing Air Blade(Second Circle)}

The spell had done even more than he thought it would, considering it was a second circle spell, however it wasn't much weaker than Alice's third circle spell. He wasn't sure if it was due to his stats, or if his use of elf and dwarf Runes together made the difference. Well the War Ogre was decapitated, and besides it's body, Yue Yang had gotten the giant redwood club it had been using. After recalling Spook he left the ID and smiled. Half a day to clear the two IDs wasn't actually long at all, it was because his combat strength already exceeded the first stages of his dungeons by a huge amount. He would need to clear them all stage by stage till they became decent training grounds again. The exception to the rule however, was the 'Tower of Babel'. Each of its floors were meant to be challenges like the zodiac temples, however the difficulty of the stage depends on the person who enters its strength. He created it with the idea for it to be difficult, but reward you based upon how you clear it. It was for that reason that he hadn't entered it yet, once he had all his beasts, he could use the tower to strengthen them all quickly, along with his future wives, mistresses and concubines. With a smile, Yue Yang went off to bathe while thinking about weapons to make after processing the materials in his possession. Between his Item Refinement skill and his soon to be power leveled blacksmithing skill, he believed that he would eventually be making the most powerful weapons the world had ever seen.

I’m going to write the next few chapters in third person, I’m more comfortable writing in it. Though I’ll leave it up to my readers to choose whether they want me to keep writing in first or third person. *Bows*
