3 Months of Crafting Hell!

The next few days went by in a blur for Yue Yang, as he was either playing with Bing'er or processing the various crafting materials he had, most were either common woods or metals, with a few alchemy ingredients mixed in. He started off by using Purification on everything. It proved surprisingly effective on some materials with enough Qi in them to handle the processing, helping to improve their quality. The next thing was to begin carving and shaping the wood, the lumber that was long enough became staffs and spear shafts under his developing Wood Working Skill. As for the smaller and processed bits of lumber, they were either set aside for dagger and sword hilts, or to be turned into sculptures. After ten whole days of processing the lumber materials he had stockpiled, Yue Yang had finished with a grimace on his face. He really didn't want to craft anymore for awhile, but he still had a lot of metal to forge into ingots. That and he had to use Purification on the staffs and spear shafts, he was curious if doing so at every step of the process would further improve the final products quality.

Taking a break from crafting he pulled out the two diaries of his parents, before putting his mothers away again. He began using 'Observe' continuously on it, page by page, to try and read the hidden information about his fathers combat techniques and beast rearing knowledge. Although he knew all the information in it would be inferior to what he could obtain from his mothers diary, he wouldn't be able to open it without innate Qi control, something his system won't let him learn until he was an actual innate. He had almost finished going through the diary when a small girl burst into his room and jumped into him. He was startled until he realized the little trouble maker was Bing'er, who had been growing up slowly. The little girl wasn't even two yet, but you could see her mothers beauty in her. Said mother entered the room chasing her a moment after she had kept into his arms.

"San'er, I'm sorry. I was trying to get her into the bath, but she wanted to go in with you." Ah Xian apologized as Yue Yang realized the normally docile and obedient Bing'er rubbing her honey covered mouth all over his shirt. The sight was adorable, but his mouth twitched in slight irritation as he wrapped his arms around her and stood up.

"It's alright Fourth Mother, I don't mind cleaning her up. I was just going to take a break from training for the next few days anyway. So I can play with her all she want." Yue Yang said as he stroked her head and prepared to call a servant to prepare clothes for them.

"You are talented and hard working enough to make your parents proud," Ah Xian sighed, " I don't understand why you haven't been able to contract a grimoire yet with your talent."

Hearing that, Yue Yang smiled bitterly then said to her, "Fourth Mother, all things happen when they need to. Rushing won't make something that isn't meant to be happen." Unless you are strong enough, he added as an afterthought. After all there were beings out there that could sever fate and destroy karma.

Ah Xian smiled and then left with them to go bathe. This was the first time Yue Yang had actually bathed with her since reincarnating and he was berating himself for missing these glorious moments. Of course he had to be careful not to stare at the beautiful pearl white body of Ah Xian as she stripped, revealing cherry pink nipples that matched her lips. He was silently thankful that he was still a kid who hadn't reached puberty, or else he might not get to enjoy this scenery again for a long time. Of course he took this chance to wash her back, thinking it was a shame he couldn't do anything else at the moment.

After all of them were cleaned up, he went with Bing'er to his room because she wanted to sleep with her elder brother. He let the little lady fall asleep in his arms before putting her down and thinking about everything that would be needed in the future. Besides his crafting skills that were a priority to level up, he needed skills to make ruling an organization easier as well as skills designed to flirt with women such as Poetry and Singing. He also needed to learn various combat skills so that he could teach his beasts and six male lackeys how to properly fight. Going over everything in his head, he had to give the original props, for being able to do all that he did, even under his protagonist shield.

With a sigh at the amount of work that awaited him in the next 8 years, he drifted off to sleep to cultivate his Spear Qi.

The next few days were spent just playing with Bing'er and Ah Xian as Yue Yang let his batteries recharge. Eventually he went back to crafting, As he took all the staffs and marked them with the 3 Runes the could handle.

{Endure, Stress, Bend} {Permanent Hardening / Recoil Absorption}

He was quite happy he had managed to get the two effects, despite not being able to put a second {Stress} Rune. He was quite happy to see some of the staffs come out silver rank, though the majority were just high Bronze Rank. It let him know that the quality of the material really did have an effect on the final result. Feeling pleased with his own success he started churning out ingots of common metals like iron, copper, tin, and bronze. It was a smelting hell, after 15 days he had smelted all of the metals into ingots in his workshop ID. Afterwards came forging, different ingots were made into daggers or spear heads, and others into short blades, hard continuous work. It had already been 3 months since he began his crafting spree, and he had produced 4 weapons that he was proud of.

{Reflecting Red - Silver 4 Staff} {Permanent Hardening / Recoil Absorption}

{Beast Skinner - Silver 1 Dagger} {Sharpening / Steady}

{Moon Swallow - Silver 5 Sword} {Permanent Hardening / Sharpening}

{Singing Red Hawk - Silver 6 Spear} {Permanent Hardening / Recoil Absorption / Sharpening}

Using the Redwood from the Ogre's club Yue Yang had created his current main weapon, the Singing Red Hawk. He had confidence that with the three Runes he could use his full strength with the spear without breaking it, at least for awhile.

Yosh~ Surprise double update. This time it’s a crafting time skip. Our MC is slowly on his way to OPdom, however I don’t want to make him unstoppable with just sheer brute force. This fellow will be a clever bastard, using Runes and his various future beasts in clever ways.
