The Loner - Background Story of the last 6 years (part - 1)

There are enormous earthquakes ever recorded in human history worldwide while the sky had lost its light. The United Countries (UC) had announced the extinction alert for human civilization, because each counties whether big or small suffered countless casualties and if there were further earthquakes in the next sequences, one after another, the civilization that human built would surely crumble to the dust. But on the first day, all earthquakes stopped and then the sky became to lost it light. Smoke and dark cloud as well as unknown black matter started appearing out of nowhere in the sky blocking the sun light. But somehow, the plants still managed to survive even there was no sunlight to use for the photosynthesis. Within a week period, big countries started launching rescue operations mainly consisted of million of volunteers who survived the earthquakes and military personals. Because of the earthquakes and chaos worldwide, human races had suffered 2 billions casualties worldwide but that was not the end of it.

After a week later, unknown portals appeared out of nowhere around the world, in forest, bottom of the ocean, in sky, in desert, the mountains everywhere and from them, unknown creatures that human had never faced before rushed out in millions, they were monster whose only goal was human extinction and ultimate chaos. The monsters killed every creature in sight, both human and animals and they consumed the flesh and drink the blood. At first, the government of each nations launched massive scale military operation to counter against them. But most of these monsters have law defying powers like supernatural abilities which makes them invincible from most of the weapon, human races possessed. They have scales hard enough that the armor penetration bullet is just tickle for them. Their sizes, nature and abilities are law defying which our physic doesn't make no sense at all.

Most of the military operations faced failure with countless of KIA cases. Only a nuke could stopped their advancing but even an nuke couldn't kill the high ranking monsters with enormous size and weight as well as their abilities. Our tanks were crushed by the feet of the monster, the light armor vehicle that military uses was easily torn apart by the massive wolf-look alike creatures. The less dangerous mean of travelling became air transportation and sea travel. But even these means of travel weren't safe at all, because the dragons alike creatures occupied the sky with different sizes and in sea, multiple unknown creatures such as kraken enough to destroy aircraft carrier in an instant appeared from time to time.

After countless failures, retreating and sacrifices, human learned where these creatures were mostly active except from the monsters on the land. But most of the small nations in the world had been already annihilated from the map after 1 year. When humanity was on the verge on collapsing, most nations couldn't sustain the law and order as mostly chaos and panic filled in the mind of humans, the first generation awakeners appeared from multiple countries all have different races and backgrounds. The first generation awakeners who had successfully attracted the attention of entities were given law defying abilities upon making a contract with different entities. Their abilities were different and same depending on the entities they made a contract with. We called it 'Soul Contract" and one individual can make only one contract in his or her life time. The first generation awakeners repelled the wave of monsters on the land worldwide, and soon after humanity started holding their grounds and pushing back monsters to where they came from "The portals", the portals are different too, there are cracks and gates and as well as dungeons. That was when the existence of "LUNAR SYSTEM" was known by humanity through many awakeners. Most of the first generation awakeners sacrificed their lives while defending against the monsters. Then came second generation, third generation, humanity became smart at fighting against the monsters, many strategies were developed as well as potions, techniques and gears as well which don't easily break upon compact unlike weapons that first generations used mainly made from metal alloy and rare metals originated from earth. The weapons and gears which were made of monsters materials and drops from the dungeons were first equipped by the second generations, and because of that, causalities were dropped and after 3 years, humanity changed it position from retreating every operations after suffering heavy causalities to hunting down the monsters inland with the hunter groups mainly consisted of awakeners. In the fifth year, the humanity had launched a largest military and hunter operation world wide with the connection and cooperation from survived nations and the operation was called "Cleansing Earth", from the starting date that operation was lunched by the worldwide nations, after 1 year, humanity had finally secured safety area and wiped out most of the monster from the earth surface. A lot things changed during the last 6 years as well as people and nations.

The popularity of Hunter(awakeners) is skyrocketed as they were the main source of combat and defense in countering monster attack. Nowadays, every hunter is well respected both in public and military relations. The media focused on the achievements of the hunters so much that so many people dreamed of becoming hunters and protecting their loved ones. Slowly, many entertainment industries were shifted from actors and actress as well as idol business to hunter broadcasting business. The popularity of an average hunter is much more larger and bigger than the world's No 1 actor. Yes, to that extent and because of that frame and their heaven defying abilities, hunters' were hired by the nations' government as the combat force against monsters and were paid handsomely such getting millions and billions of USD just for one successful raid. But even though, humanity had wiped out the monsters on land, it is still hard to wipe out the dragon like creatures in the sky because of their strength and abilities as well as creatures in the sea because of the some difficulties.

The world became to rank the hunter depending on their (CS) combat strength and monsters depending on (DS) destructive strength. After 6 whole years from the worldwide earthquakes event, humanity had finally started rescuing people again from the parts that monsters had occupied for the last few years, because of the appearance of the lunar system as well as magi particles and dungeon drops, monsters material which the world had never came into contact before, humanity had improved a massive leap in many fields whether be it medicine, engineering or military ranking system. Currently, the world had set up temporary barrier using awakeners' abilities or engineered gear which used magi stones as power sources to prevent big cracks from appearing in some secure parts. But gates can't be closed so each government had assigned organization and association to watch and report the gate condition. And as well dungeons under the influence of the lunar system is considered as gaining experiences field by the high ranking awakeners but for low ranking hunters, they are gambling with their life every time they raid a dungeon. A dungeon disappeared after being raided while the monsters inside left a drop items upon dying. Some dungeons didn't disappear upon being raided as the monsters kept respawning. The gates are rare and consider the most dangerous one. Small cracks can't be prevented from happening but as most of them are consisted of low level monsters that average B rank hunters can handle easily, the government and public safety office didn't take it seriously.
