Kayla sighs deeply. Once again, she finds herself in the Salvatore mansion. She and Elena had to talk to Stefan. He said it was important. Kol sighs annoyed. He leans with his back against the fireplace. Annoyed he keeps his eyes on Rose. The vampire woman apparently ran straight to the Salvatore boarding house after her best friend Travis was murdered. She had no idea where to go elsewhere and she believed that she could help them with protecting Elena. Kayla loves her sister but she gets annoyed by poor little Elena who always needs help and protection and is the center of attention. She just grew tired of always risking everything to save Elena. And so did Kol.

"Okay, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and what's not true. It's the problem with all this vampire crap but Klaus, I know he's real." "Ugh good old Niklaus, always the cause of problems" jokes Kol. "Who is he" asks Elena. "Just the devil may I say" jokes Kol. Kayla gives him a angry eye. Stefan looks at her. "You know Kayla, I think we can trust Rose so if he wants to say something, you can just tell it." "Oy Mate, I decide that" yells Kol angry and walks towards Stefan. "Kol" scoffs Kayla. "Kol" asks Rose. "As in Kol Mikaelson?" "Kayla, are you joking me" yells Elena. Damon looks with a wide open mouth at her. Stefan just remains frozen. "Well that cat is out of the bag I see" Kol scoffs. "How do you know Kol Mikaelson?" "He is a Mikaelson" asks Elena. "You want to tell me that you aren't just linked with an annoying prick but he is an original Michaelson annoying prick" growls Damon. "Mate, just wait till I get to pick you up. This time I will finish you" yells Kol angry. "Kol stop it" yells Kayla. "Damon please do not say such things, you are really really upsetting him." "I'll show upsetting to him" growls Damon. "You do that mate, I dare you" Kol growls his fangs coming out. "Kol, Damon stop" Kayla orders. Rose looks at her. "Okay somebody fill me in... please!" "See that bracelet" asks Stefan. "That is Kol his bracelet" answers Kayla." "My god, you are lucky that Elijah didn't see that" scoffs Rose. "Well Kol his ghost is linked on that bracelet. Meaning on Kayla." "Yeah and you shut up rosemary or I kill you almost... again." "Rosemary" asks Kayla. "That is my full name, and I do believe you now. Only that family knows it. And Trevor of course." Kayla swallows. "Well Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal." "That is softly said" says Kol. "Niklaus is danger, he is the oldest vampire." "The oldest of all" asks Kayla. "Okay, so you're saying that the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after me" asks Elena. "No" says Stefan while Kol and Rose say yes at the same time. "What they're saying is, I mean if what she's saying is true" "Which is" says Rose and Kol. "And you're not saying it so I don't kill you" says Damon. "Which I am not." "Then we are looking at a solid maybe" says Damon. "Look, Elijah's dead, right? So, no one else even knows that you exist." "About that" says Kol. "Kol" asks Kayla and looks at him. "What" asks everyone. "He said about that and I know he does that when he hides something or is lying." "Owtch darling I do not lie!" "You do lie" she protests. "Elijah... Isn't really dead." "I saw his dead against the wall." "That is not the way for killing an original darling" says Kol. "You are telling me that Elijah is only temporary dead. "What" asks Stefan. "That is not the way of killing an original says Kol." "I do believe he will be up and running about.... right now" says Kol. "He is up and running again" says Kayla. Elena sighs. "How does he know?!" "He is an original, I do believe him." "ook, I've never even met anyone who's laid eyes on him. I mean, we're talking centuries of truth mixed with fiction. We don't know if he's real. For all we know he could just be some sort of stupid bed time story." "Excuse me my brother is real" says Kol. "He's real and he doesn't give up. If he wants something, he gets it. If you're not afraid of Klaus, then you're an idiot." Elena sighs. "Where are you going?" "School" says Elena. Kayla swallows. "She is in so much denial" says Damon. "Shut up" says Stefan and walks away.

Kayla takes a deep breath. "You and me" he says and points to Rose. "Are going to fix this." Kayla swallows. "I am coming" she says. "No you are not" says Damon and Kol together. "I am, this is my sister and Kol could be a great help." "Owtch darling. Do not involve me in this!" Damon groans. "Touche" he says and pushes Kayla towards his car.

"This is a bad idea" says Kol again. Kayla nods. "Yes I know, you said it already six times" answers Kayla. Rose took her and Damon to a coffee shop where a friend of her... Slater wanted to talk with them about the originals and the curse. Kayla holds her cup of coffee in her hands and observes the young boy slater. "Trevor was a good man; he helped me with my dissertation on sexual deviance in the Baroque period. I was schooling for my Psych PhD" he says. "So obviously gay" says Kol not impressed. Kayla tries to hold her laugh. "Slater's been in college since '74." "Owh boring. Such a stupid way to live forever" says Kol. "When I was turned. I have 18 degrees; 3 master's and 4 PhDs" says Slater proudly. "That's impressive" says Kayla. "No, it is not" jokes Kol. "And what is your point" asks Damon. "Exactly, I mean, what is the point? What should I be doing with my eternity? If you have an answer, please enlighten me." "At least somebody asks the right questions" says Kol. "I am even more bored as I am on your school darling. You are so going to pay for this" says Kol. Kayla hides her smile. "Kayla" asks Rose. Kayla shakes her head. Sorry, it is just. Somebody thinks this is boring." Rose nods understanding. "Slater, eh Kayla." "Don't threaten Kol." Rose" whispers Kayla and shakes her head. Rose swallows. "Kayla loves vampire history. She knows a bit about it" says Rose. "Thank you" mutters Rose. "We need your help. If someone wanted to get in touch with Klaus, how would you hook him up" asks Rose." "My god you people are so stupid" says Kol annoyed. "Craigslist" says Slater. "Really" asks Damon. Kayla scoffs. "Seriously. I respond to a personal ad to get sent to somebody who knows somebody who knows Elijah, who's dead and that's where my connection ends." "Owtch, my dear brother lost his touch I might say" laughs Kol. "Elijah isn't really dead" says Damon. "Ain't that right Kayla" he asks. Kayla swallows. "No, not really." Slater looks at her. "There are only a few ways to kill an original." "And those are?" "I am not telling you that yet darling. It is not that I do not trust you, I just do not trust the others." Kayla nods. "I don't know" she lies. "Here's what I don't get: Elijah moved around during the day, which means the originals knew the secret of the day ring. Now why would Klaus want to lift the curse of the sun and the moon?" "We do not need daylight rings darling." "They do not need daylight rings" says Kayla. They all look at her. "Thats handful" says Damon annoyed. "To keep the werewolves from lifting it. If a vampire breaks the sun curse then the werewolves are stuck with the curse of the moon forever and vice versa" says Slater. "It is not about the werewolves at all darling" groans Kol annoyed. "It is not" asks Kayla. "Kayla" asks Rose. "The curse is about Klaus. It is about his werewolf part that..." His sentence gets interrupted by the loud sound of breaking glass." Kayla" he yells. Kayla dodges and places her hands on her head. Screams and annoyed roars surround the coffee shop. Rose is screaming. Damon looks outside but Elijah is gone. Slater runs. Rose's face is burned. Damon puts a jacket on Rose's face and helps her get out of the back of the coffee shop.

"Kayla" yells Kol. Kayla gets up. "Damon" she asks. "Damon" she repeats. "Kayla look out" yells Kol. Kayla turns around. She stares into Elijah his eyes. "Hello there" he says and smiles. Kayla gasps. "Do not touch her brother" says Kol angry. His vampire features are showing again. He has that lately. Why he cannot control himself again. Kayla swallows. A playful smile rests on his lips. Kayla swallows. "Do not move Kayla" says Kol worried. Elijah takes a hold of Kayla her arm. "You and me, going to walk" says Elijah. Kayla swallows. "Elijah" she protests but Elijah vampire speeds outside.

Kayla takes a deep breath and tries to stop her head from spinning. She looks around. Elijah took her to a little empty spot in the green park. "Now, miss Gilbert" he says and smiles. Kayla swallows. "I did hear some things coming from your mouth that made me wonder" says Elijah. "He could hear you guys" groans Kol. "I.. I don't know" says Kayla afraid. She looks around. Elijah moves closer. Kayla takes a step backwards. "Kayla" warns Kol. Her back bumps against a tree. "So tell me miss Gilbert... How do you know so much about us?" "Tell him that you found out on yourself about vampires. Cause everyone was lying." Kayla swallows and repeats his words. Elijah grins. "So I assume you are a smart girl. Then you must know that lying to me is very very bad." "Tell him you are not lying. You kept on reading, exploring, digging until you found the ultimate truth. Tell him that you found a vampire named Sage." "Sage" asks Elijah amused. "And how did you find this Sage?" "You found her in Chicago. You went to Chicago on a school holiday. For Christmas and you were asking around. Searching, exploring. Digging. And then she found you." Elijah rubs over her jaw. "He smiles amused. "And how come Slater didn't slay you. Because that is her reputation you see." "Crap" groans Kol. "I.. eh.. I" Elijah takes her jaws. "Oh I'm going to be busted" swallows Kol. "Is everything you are telling me the truth" he asks. "No" answers Kayla soft, deep looking into his deep brown eyes. "Then what is the truth?" "Your brother told me everything." "My brother" asks Elijah amused. "And which brother might that be?"" Kayla" yells Kol but Kayla can't help herself. Elijah his compulsion is too strong. "Kol." "Kol" asks Elijah in shock. "How do you know Kol?" "He came to me." "And when was that?" "September this year." "Then do tell, please. Where and how did he find you since he's been daggered in a box for over hundred fifty years, and do not leave anything out this time?" "My Ex-boyfriend gave me Kol his bracelet. It was enchanted so that Kol became linked on me. His ghost is next to me ever since." Elijah looks around as in an attempt to see Kol. "Darling" whispers Kol and lowers his face. "Is he here with us right now?" "Yes." "Can he hear and see me?" "Yes" answers Kayla. "Where is he" asks Elijah. "On my left" says Kayla. Elijah let's go of her. He smiles. "Well hello Kol, long time no see brother" says Elijah amused, looking in the direction Kayla said. "I am so sorry Kol" whispers Kayla confused. "It is okay darling, nothing you could do about it. "Yes I am sorry Kol but I just knew the girl was lying and you know that I hate it when somebody lies to me." "Please forgive me Elijah, I never intended..." Elijah lifts his hand. "I do not feel any revenge nor angry feelings towards you Kayla. Right now, you are my leverage. Nothing more." Kayla swallows. "You will stay by my side, no matter what anyone says and you will listen to me alone" says Elijah. "I will listen to you alone" repeats Kayla softly. "Oh brother come one" roars Kol angry. Elijah smiles. "Let's go" he says.
