"Slater kills himself. Kayla shivers. "Why" she asks. Elijah ignores her. An African man enters the room. "Was it really?" "It had to be done" says Elijah and turns around. Kayla observes the African man. It looks like she saw him before. "Oh bloody hell. Witches" curses Kol. "It had to be done. He delivered his message. Won't be long now." Elijah walks over to Kayla. "Tell me what has my brother told you" asks Elena and sits down on the sofa. He pats next to him and starts drinking a blood bag. Kayla carefully comes sitting next to him. Elijah his eyes glinster by hearing the name Freya. "So I assume he told you everything. And this bracelet is the key" he asks and lifts her wrist. Kayla swallows. "Please do not remove it." Jonas has laid out all of Elena's trinkets that he stole from her bedroom on a table. Elijah sits across from Jonas. Kayla sits in a chair in a corner. She feels like she must do something. This is her sister they are talking about. "So how exactly does this spell work?" "Jonas walks over to Kayla. He grabs her hand. "Watch it mate" curses Kol. "Hey" protests Kayla when Jonas cuts a deep bloody cut in her hand. He drops her blood in a goblet and walks back to the table. "I will have your head for this" says Kol fueled by rage. Elijah sighs. "Give me your hand." Elijah extends his hand out, palm facing up, and Jonas slices it open with the blade, dropping his blood on top of Kayla her blood. He drops the chalk over a picture of Elena in her cheerleading uniform. "Kol I must do something" whispers Kayla. "No, you must not. . I know it is your sister but I am tired of you risking your life for the doubleganger." Kayla swallows. She knows he is right. And at the end. What could she do against an original vampire and a warlock? "Now, take my hand." Jonas extends his hand to Elijah who takes it. "Close your eyes. Relax your mind. And look for her." The man in the back suddenly drops to the floor, dead. Elijah stands behind him. The other two vampires look back at Elijah. Elijah vamp-speeds towards them, looking from one to the other. Rose gasps and vamps out of the apartment. Elijah looks over at Elena and Damon. Kayla stands behind the corner where Elijah told her to. "This is stupid" says Kol annoyed. Elijah looks at the vampire who entered the room before him. "Who are you?" "Who are you?" "I am Elijah. "We were gonna bring her to you. For Klaus. She's the doppelgänger. Elijah plunges his arm's into the two vampires' chests. They grunt as Elijah rips their hearts out. The two vampires fall to the floor, dead, and Elijah lets their hearts drop from his hands. Damon prepares to fight with Elijah, but Elijah shocks them, by turning around and vamp-speeding out of the apartment. Kayla squeals when Elijah grabs her. Elijah is standing at a window, looking out. Jonas enters the apartment and shuts the door behind him. Kayla lays on the sofa, sleeping with Elijah his jacket over her body. Kol stands next to her. "Where's Luka" asks Elijah. "Asleep" says Jonas and looks at Kayla. "Our shadow spell was successful. I was able to track that girl. However, I did have a little run in with one of the brothers that killed me." "I assume he didn't live to tell about it." "He shouldn't have" growls Kol annoyed. "Actually, I spared him. He'd die before he'd let anything happen to her. They both would. She'll be kept safe." "For now" says Jonas. "Well, that's precisely what we need her to be."
