The Day Hell Began.

Suddenly a man in a flashy white suit walked up on a stage, grabbed a microphone and began the ceremony. He introduced himself as Okano Koji, the head of the Reapers guild worldwide. We all felt like a god had appeared before us, no one was expecting to see the man in charge. It was a thrilling surprise that made us all want to lead with glee, but we had to remain still and silent to not impose on the man who entered.

He then explained what they were about to undergo a process that will forever change their life for the better if they used it correctly.

They were going to be injected with a serum that will integrate nanites into their DNA. Which will strengthen their bodies and minds, furthermore give them access to a computer like system and abilities comparable to a superpower. And to check on your own personal abilities one justed needed to think the word Status.

Then they will be scanned and given a numeric value to represent their overall strength and abilities. The higher the number the better your abilities and strength are. He then explained a breakdown of how numbers fell into a ranking system. G: 1-10, F: 11-20, D: 21-30, C: 31-50, B: 51-100, A: 101-200, S: 201-300, SS: 301-500, and finally National: 500+. He then mentioned how worldwide there are 11 national rank, but most people fall in D or C rank. And that a person will have the ability to join an organization so long as they receive a 1 or above. Because, there was a chance that a person who receives a system has no aptitude in becoming an enhanced human and will receive a rank of 0.

Then he talked about the Reapers guild and how they oversee all quests and business before shipping quests to the lower organizations. Then they send quests that match to what certain guilds specify in. Then there further broken down by rank of that guild. A guild wont recieve quests above their rank.

He then explained specifically how the guilds work. These organizations were either known as clans or guilds each with their own individual names. They all have a rank that shows the overall strength of the guild, and the level of quests they can handle. The current guild with the largest number of people being "Knightflies" rank B. And the country's strongest being "Sol Et Luna" rank SS.

Then he looked around and firmly said, "Then without further wait, let's Begin."

The students then got super excited at the idea of unlocking abilities and strength. They began to chatter while making their way to the doctors. Then the first student walked forward to the doctor. He was quickly injected with a serum.

He then began to yell almost as if he was dying. He started shaking and growing rapidly. He grew a foot and his body doubled in size. He was now over 6 foot and had the body shape of a wrestler. Then the doctor who injected the serum put a scanner up and it read 45.

Suddenly the boy yelled with excitement at the number and the scientist recorded his name and number. And he walked toward a group of people who were all scouters trying to have strong people join their groups. The next girl got a 12 and was ignored by the people who went after the first boy but still had a few minor group advisors talk to her.

This went on till it got to Ron who turned and smiled at Kaito. He had no visible changes but his scan was something no one expected. He received a rating of 82, almost immediately all the people rushed over to him trying to get him to sign contracts to join him.

He was feeling overwhelmed until he saw Kaito give him a thumbs up and shew him forward so he could let the others take their turn. The people after Ron were nothing special ranging from 10-49.

That was until Anna got hers, she appeared to become more beautiful. Her hair grew a little, her skin became cleaner, and a cool aura surrounded her. The scanner then showed 77. Much like Ron as she walked over she was surrounded.

Then it was back to no one special.

Finally it was Kaito's turn he was given the serum and like Ron there was no visible change. Ron looked over to see his friend only to be crowded and blocked. Then heard the laughter of the room be deafening. Kaito looked up to see a 0 on the screen. Kaito was ruined, everyone that saw his number just laughed and avoided him. No one wanted to touch the unlucky bastard that got a 0. Ron tried to walk over to comfort his friend but the swarm of everyone wanting to meet him imparied him from moving over. Kaito walked out of the gym to go home, no one stopped him.

It was a long walk home, he walked in silence with a solemn look. He entered his home as quietly as he could and attempted to go to his room. Only to be stopped by his mother, and asked why he wasn't elevated about his system. Then she told him she made a special dinner and was so excited to hear about his day. However, she was greeted with despair. In a whimpering look on the verge of tears, he told her his score and she rapidly embraced him. Grabbing his head and pulling him down into her chest. She expected him to cry but they just were in silence, the deafening echo of silence.

After a few moments he stood up and said he wasn't hungry and just wanted to be alone for a moment. He walked to his room and closed the door behind him. Pulled off his suit coat, tossed it on the floor and fell on his bed face first.

He then remembered how the man told them they had hope so long as they didn't receive a 0 like he did. He then tried to remember the word the man said, until he finally thought Status.
