First World Auction (3)

"Okay thank you." Enzo said and then turned back to the auction.

He didn't need the longsword and neither did anyone else in the room, so they just let the rest of the audience bid for it. The sword ended up going to someone in the balcony for a gold coin.

The next two hours went by with Brian auctioning off varying weapons. Sometimes there would even be a bundle of weapons sold all at once.

Enzo ended up buying two different weapons himself. He briefly discussed having Hephaestus make him weapons, but Hephaestus explained that he wasn't proficient in making 4 star weapons just yet.

The first weapon Enzo bought is known as a kyoketsu-shoge, and he got it for 10 gold coins.

[These daggers attached to a strong rope are known as kyoketsu-shoge. They can be used as traditional daggers, or thrown around with the rope.]

The daggers have 10 inch long straight blades and black leather wrapped hilts. The hilts have a ring on the end of them where the black rope is tied through.

The other weapon Enzo bought was a normal sized bow that cost 7 gold coins. The bow's wood is made of a dark brown wood that is reinforced with metal and has a thin metal string that is surprisingly flexible.

Something that surprised Enzo is that when he went to test out all of the weapons he found out that the stat bonuses stack onto each other. So, he gets the stat bonuses from all the weapons he currently has on. Enzo now has a total of 15 extra stat points just from weapons and his chest armor.

Halfway through the weapons portion of the auction, Enzo realized something.

"Hey Store Clerk, do you need any weapons or anything? I can buy you something if you need it." He told Jane.

"Nah, I'm good." She responded.

Enzo wasn't buying it.

"Are you sure? I really do have a lot of money in this game."

"Haha. I could tell because of the VIP room, but I don't want to spend your money. You earned that, not me."

"I'm going to buy you a weapon and an armor set whether you like it or not, so would you rather I pick it out or you pick it out?"

Jane may have been reluctant to let someone spend their money on her, but the offer still made her smile.

"Thanks Atlas, you're the best."

"No, problem. It's what friends are for." Enzo smiled back.

He knew Jane was the only one without an abundance of money in the game at the moment because she was still working during most of the tutorial. Enzo didn't think that was fair for her, so he decided to help her out a bit. It's obvious she is good at the game because even though she had those disadvantages, Jane still reached level 12 already and is close to level 13. She is currently in the top 1000 in the game, and this is enough to show Enzo that she has skills.

Enzo knew from the tutorial that this game wouldn't be playable later on without friends. He has a hunch that it will get increasingly difficult to be a solo player in the later stages of the game, so surrounding himself with powerful friends is a goal of his.

Enzo ended up buying Jane a long staff, leather armor, and witches robes all for 30 gold coins.

Jane chose the Shaman class, so her main weapon is a staff that helps with spell casting.

Shamans are basically a combination between healers and sorcerers. Shamans use chants to cast their spells like sorcerers, but unlike sorcerers they have basic healing magic.

The rest of the group bid on a weapon or two themselves, but they allowed most of them to go to the players in the balcony or the normal seats.

The players in the normal seats ended up being just mostly spectators. There were thousands of balcony seat players, and hundreds of VIP boxes in the stadium, so there was really no way a normal seat player would be able to get an item. There were some rare occurrences, but mostly the normal seat players weren't able to get anything.

The next hour was reserved for tools for the various different subclasses.

Enzo didn't see anything that he would need at the moment for his alchemist class so he didn't bid on anything. However, the rest of the group was different. Jane finally bid on something herself and won it. She ended up getting a ball device that could capture any one beast for her to tame it with her tamer subclass. Vincent got some cooking supplies, Juliet bid on a rune crafting pen, Ivan got a few tools for his artificer subclass, and finally Hephaestus got a few smithing tools. He passed up on a lot of them in hopes that there would be something more special in the second half of the auction.

The last hour in the first section of the first World Auction was used for consumables. Most of the things being auctioned were potions and elixirs.

Enzo was able to get 5 high grade stamina potions for 25 gold coins, and 5 high grade health potions for 27 gold coins.

Now the last thing the group needs for the Vampire Ritual is the bloodflower, which Enzo hopes is in the second section of the auction.
