Ep.3

Alchemy classes were rare to get hence why some were eager to employ an alchemist but even this alone wouldn't be enough for literally hundreds of hunters to stand around the building.

John began worrying that his secret was exposed but a hunter with feathered wings made it clear as he flew outside Johns window.

"John greyhound my guild master will give you anything you want if you come join us and make 10,000 of those Strength elixers."

John was stunned by the offer but also the demand of 10 thousand Elixir's before throwing a cactus he had on his desk at the man's head before yelling out the window.

"LEAVE ME ALONE NOW!"

But this only caused the crowd to get even louder then before and soon the hunters started fighting each other.

It was a battlefield for the ultimate prize, John.

The childish battle didn't last long before it became quiet.

*knock knock knock*

John was very hesitant to open the door but did so very slowly to see an elderly man who looked to be ready to go to a beach but was holding a briefcase.

"I apologize for this incident Mr.Greyhound but those Elixers you made were very impressive. They even had me surprised in the time I've been working at the M.D.C"

John tried to close the door slowly but couldn't as the old man held his foot in the doorway.

"May I just have a moment of your time to make a proposal? I assure you that it will be well worth it."

John felt the old man's strength was leagues above his own.

"Who are you?"

The old man pass through John as if he was a ghost before lifting his hat to reveal his face.

"My name is Zoa Evergreen, vice chairman of the M.D.C and I wish to purchase some of your-"

"Who? I've never heard of your name before and your breaking and entering my home."

Zoa was confused as he had accomplished some outstanding feats.

'Does this man truly not know who I am? I've helped lead a team of hunters to defend the entire western hemisphere from sea leviathans. But this man hasn't heard of it?'

John opened the door for the man while he pulled out his phone.

"Leave my home or I will make a complaint to the authorities about your mistreatment of my right to privacy."

Zoa then realized that John had merits to his claim as he barged into his home uninvited.

For the first time in his life he was backed into a corner.

"Ah I see that I've upset you. I'll take my leave but here is my card and my offer for you."

After Zoa left John took a deep breath as he infact knew who Zoa Evergreen was, John was even a huge fan of Zoa.

'I just got a visit from THE Zoa Evergreen! Oh my god!'

John being just a fan of Zoa Evergreen wasn't true as it was after seeing him at a Hunter ceremony that inspired John to be a hunter when his abilities awakened.

John immediately started looking at the offer and saw it was a 5 year contract with some hefty bonuses.

"100 thousand a year is decent for for an alchemist. Oh their willing to give me a laboratory to study and practice my own alchemy and they'll personally provide the necessary Ingredients?"

It was suspicious that such a generous offer would be made for him so John combed through the details without missing a word and found a wrinkle.

"I will have to teach other alchemists my recipes? I'll also have to pay them out of my own pocket just to try and learn my alchemy recipes?! Like hell I'll accept that kind of offer."

John immediately tore the paper to shreds before going online to a public hunter website provided by the M.D.C and posted an article.

|{John Greyhound}|- Hello fellow hunters, I am John Greyhound. By now there are most likely rumours about my potions that I have crafted during my examination.

At the moment I can craft potions to permanently increase the strength stat and pain tolerance.

If your interested in purchasing my potions then I will review any offers presented. Goodbye-

After clicking enter the response was almost instant with hundreds of offers which surprised John a little.

'No one is thinking I'm trying to scam them? I was so sure no one would take me seriously. Oh well I might just let it stir for awhile.'

John closed his laptop and kept using his ~God of Alchemy~ skill to change random objects in his room into weapons before returning them to normal but John got no experience in his skills.

Hours had passed before John opened the post back up to see hundreds of thousands of people trying to make offers.

Sure the risk of catching a Mana fever was scary especially for seasoned hunters but only a few select items were known to permanently increase stat points.

Physical type classes were known to spend outrageous amounts of time and money to gain items and consumables to permanently increase their stats. But even these offers were so good that it made John question if he was dreaming.

|{Monlight guild}|- We're will to give you 100 Million and several Dungeons raids in exchange for 1,000 strength Elixirs.-

|{Gaia's Guild}|- we will offer 50 million per 300 Healing elixirs and 25 Strength elixirs.-

|{Shadow Guild}|- 400 Million and Unlimited access to our governed dungeon raids for 1 year for 10,000 Healing and strength elixirs.-

|{Treasure Hunters Guild}|- we would like to offer 1 Epic rank Item and a Rare armour set for 50 strength and healing Elixirs.-

The offers didn't stop and the more John looked the more outrageous they were.

But only one offer seemed interesting to John, one made by a questionable hunter.

|{Steven Macave}|- John greyhound, I wish to make an offer to you in person to show you my scenery respond if you are interested.-

Steven Macave, a man John only knew by his reputation but even then it wasn't much as Steven was never the one to be involved with the public.

But his feats were very extraordinary but his class was a mystery. However John was interested that he wanted to do it in person but this alone wouldn't convince him to do it as it could've been the staging for a kidnapping.

John just gave a link to an online chat room and after seeing Steven join it John spoke first.

|{John Greyhound}|- I apologize but I don't not wish to meet in person as I want my safety guaranteed. What do you propose for my elixirs?-

|{Steven Macave}|- first I would like to buy 1 of each to confirm their legitimacy and if it is true then I will provide all the necessary ingredients for you to make 200 strength and 50 healing elixirs.-

John was stunned as it was clear that Steven wanted to use these for himself.

|{John Greyhound}|- I must warn you that there is the risk of catching a Mana Fever if these elixirs are used too often.-

Steven wasn't surprised as he was infact holding one of the strength elixirs John had made in his hand as he spoke.

|{Steven Macave}|- I am fully aware of the risks and still wish to proceed. Tell me what you require.-

John listed the ingredients which had steven surprised as these ingredients were dirt cheap which naturally raised suspicions.

'Is this really all it takes to make those elixirs?'

|{Steven Macave}|- is this everything you'll need? Don't hesitate if it requires more.-

It was hard to believe that such amazing elixirs could be made from such common ingredients.

|{John Greyhound}|- Yes this is all the ingredients I need. When are you available to deliver?-

Steven was excited and pulled up an online market for hunters to purchase tools, items, supplies and monster ingredients.

After ordering the necessary supplies Steven smiled.

|{Steven Macave}|- I've ordered the necessary ingredients and expect to see them in my possession this afternoon. Would you be available after I receive them?-

John took a look out his window to see at least a dozen cars with guild sigil's on the side of them before giving Steven a time.

|{John Greyhound}|- I'll have to insist we delay it until tomorrow as I have some other duties to attend to.

John then closed the chat and left his apartment to address the people outside the building.
