Feng Ling Tian Xia
this was very good until the MC started collecting women and his enemies started to enter his harem and he didn’t touch any of their families because they can be sad (even though they are at war) and I won’t even say which emperor tried taking MC's wife the guy's family was against him when he wanted to kill him I wonder where the rationale is if a man tries to take another man's wife and even tries to destroy such a man's family the victim family would stay side the aggressor ?! what nonsense is this? !!
This novel started pretty good and held my attention at first. However it devolved into a harem gathering novel not a world domination novel. It became quite boring in the middle because of too many love interest relations. I know this is a common troupe for this type of novel but it got out of hand. I don't know if this is the author's fantasies playing out in the novel or just filler because of lack of anything to write about. Either way it became quite boring and I dropped at chapter 476.
A hidden gem in the Qidian collection - don't miss this if you're a fan of intriguing plots, kingdom building and wuxia. Legend of Ling Tian (LLT) is really one of those nice surprises where you pick up a story with low expectations and it completely captivates you. Overall, the story of LLT follows Ling Tian (duh.. no surprise there) as he is tragically plotted against by his clan due to jealousy of his talents. As he dies and is accidentally reincarnated, he begins his journey in a new world. Here he has learned his lesson, and because his new family is in a precarious position, he plays the role of an arrogant *******. Luckily, as this world's martial arts is grossly substandard compared to earth (though this Earth has Qi and fictional cultivation), he begins cultivating in his mother's stomach, and by the time he grows up As a teenager, he's basically a small monster. As he plays pig eat the tiger, he also builds a formidable elite army unaware of eberyone, in hopes when the world brakes down into chaos, he'll be able to protect his family and eventually rule the world. Translation quality: The translation quality is pretty good. Though there are sometimes a small spelling error or a grammatical mistake, it doesn't detract from the story overall. There are sometimes where I wish the translator would have used a different word or slight editing in order to convey the authors original meaning, instead of translating directly. Stability of updates: Based on NU, the story is updated every 0.9 days, which is pretty good in my perspective. Story Development: I'm a big fan of authors who pace their story based on development. In LLT the author doesn't drag like you see in Emperors Domination, but uses appropriate time skips when there's inaction, or if the reader can infer what has happened in the mean time. The story is consist mainly of plots and scheming between the different families, but there's also some fighting, warfare, and "kingdom"/clan building. These schemes and plots aren't as well detailed as "A Step Into The Past", but they're sufficient in leaving sone surprises. It's also nice to see, even though mc is clever and cunning, he isn't omniscient, and in one point in the story, he almost loses his father due to his oversight. What needs to he appreciated is that every character introduced matters and aren't typically forgotten halfway through! These characters introduce plots and schemes, and seemingly small events will blow up into a larger overarching plot that have terrifying results. Much of the story is, as mentioned, based on schemes and fighting, however this doesn't mean that there's no room for great situations where you'll break down into laughter. This story has its fair share of funny moments. There are, of course, a good deal of good ol' face-smacking, as seems required by any chinese novel nowadays. Character designs: This is one of the few novels where you truly have characters that 3 dimensional, with depth, history and background, and progression to their personality. They reflect and react to changing circumstances and they have each their own agenda. Though the characters are not as detailed as in ZTJ, it is a pleasure to have characters that are described as "Arrogant noble with a haughty air #1" or "peerless beauty with jade-like skin #74". What's important to note is that every character have role and aren't forgotten midway by the author. The mc does have some problems regarding his sudden spike in intelligence after rebirth and other factors which are plot armor, but these are minor distractions in the greater picture, and don't detract too much from the story. Oh, and regarding beauties and romance, Ling Tian is a great mc who's not afraid of acting on his emotions. Already from ch. 50 there's a great female lead and mc has a developed relationship with her, which neither feels forced or artificial. There are certain cues behind actions and the characters act naturally according to situation. I wouldn't dare to say that mc's girl is the best female lead, but she's pretty high up in the rankings. The romantic subplot is harem based, but the refreshing thing is that the girls can also be angry, and certain girls that you thought were going to be love interest, were actually enemies. World background: While not a lot of information regarding the entire world is given, only the continent, where the mc lives, is detailed. So far the author seems to have a grander plot and history behind each continent and the entire world - we have just not been privy to such information yet. Though each country has their own aristocrat family behind It, each country doesn't seem to be as fleshed out as the family that it houses, thus leading to a disjunction in the relationship between the two. Ie. You don't get the feeling that the family belongs to a country, but they all just exist in a large union, without any nationalistic pride. Overall, I'm very surprised by this novel, and I don't feel like exaggerating when describing this one of Qidians hidden gems. Though there are some flaws, but if one were to look past this, you'll find that this novel has its own unique offering. 4.5/5 stars.
I only gave a 4 star because of the world. If it has more realms like core and nascent soul blah blah then i give 5 stars. Also i hope that he is the one that makes the dao ans introduces the new realms and be the grandfather of all dao in that world. After conquering this wotld or else it will just be playing kingdoms. I am biased so what
Unique story that i still have not found something with the same quality in terms of story progression and strategies since i read this book 5-6 years ago. Not a generic story where mc became strongest in the clan, then city, exposed that the mc is a frog in a well then went to province stage, then kingdom, empire, continent then move to other worlds. This story is more down to earth about the characters progression to achieve their goals in a more realistic setting. Some stories has better story telling or world building or cultivation model but in overall this captured everything a story can be developed until the writer ends it when and how he thinks it should be completed. No prolonged arcs or waste of time fillers.

Just saw this on the completed novel section and I reread it again just for nostalgia... Dang, LingTian really is bad @ss from womb.. No, from his previous live... Anyway, its a good read. Power level is not too much nonsense, it capped on houtian xiantian, and the top level is void. But mostly just houtian xiantian so it got a lot of normal melee fight light those old kungfu movie..
