Frozen Beaches

"Hey, don't you think this place would be more.... populated?". Grace and Jack were now relaxing on the beach, and Jack says "Who cares? Just enjoy it while we aren't saving the world or fighting wraiths. Just us, and the nice sunshine!". The sound of wind was heard and they felt it turn cold. "And I just HAD to jinx it." Jack says putting on warmer clothes. They then see the ground get covered in snow and the water freeze.

"So much for global warming." Jack said as they walk along the beach. A burst of ice appears and they see a giant tower of it appear in the water. "An ice tower.... Guess we'll find the cause of it at the top." Grace says to him. Jack grimaces at the sight of it and says "Are we going to climb all the way up there?". Grace sighs and responds "Not like we've got a choice.

They start walking over to it, using the ice as a way across. They get to two large white doors, and Jack takes out his hatchet. He swings down onto a lock, but the hatchet just bounces off. "I think we'll need a key. Either that or something to break this lock with." Grace says. They turn around and then hear talking. "Grace, go human!" Jack says handing her some clothes.

The walk along the beach, and see the twins. "Damn weather! Aye Orion, you sure we can't just find some magic fish or something to ride like that girl?" Dusk said lighting up his staff. "Positive, so Dusk, if you really have that much of an issue with it then by all means go and try!" Orion responds as the two walk away. Grace and Jack wait till they're out of earshot, and then come out.

"Just great, Dusk and Orion are here too!" Jack says. Grace pats his shoulder and says "Don't worry, we just have to stay out of their vision and we'll be fine. Just don't make any noise, so be sure to crouch!" Grace says. They started sneaking past the brothers, until they didn't hear them anymore. "Why did they stop?" Grace said. Jack pushed her back as he was grabbed by his collar and thrown in between the two of them.

"Wee little Jack! I see you've got a pair of new kicks!" Orion said. Dusk looked at him and said "Why don't we take them off of your corpse?".

Jack started to fight, but with Orion shooting and Dusk swinging he was getting outmatched. Finally Dusk pinned him to tree and said "Well little brother, it seems you still fail. It's even gotten to the point where that girl doesn't even know the true reason you came to the mountain, does she?". He dropped him after punching him in the stomach.

Orion then came over, and said "You're just as greedy as the two of us, and you know what?". He went to his ear and whispered "Just wait until she finds out about your curse! She'll hate you till the day you finally die.". They let him go and then walk off to celebrate their victory. He curled up on the ground and started coughing. 'THEY KNOW?!' He thought to himself. He coughed again, and looked in his palm to see a little blood.

He put his hand to his side and looked at a huge burn. He lowered his shirt and stood up. He put on a smile and went back over to Grace. "Are you okay?! I couldn't look or they would see me!". He waved it off and said "Of course! It takes more than a little fire, and lightning to kill me!". They continued on their way, until the area turned warm again. "Great- HEY! Maybe we can go and break the lock now!" Grace said.

"You go ahead, I'll catch up in a minute!". She runs off, and Frost goes over to him growling. "Oh don't give me that, I know you heard what my brothers- ACK!". He wines and Jack takes off his shirt. He looks down and see's black cracks running outside the injury. He winces and then looks at Frost. "We need to get to Spring, quick!". He pulls out the map and points to a large forest.

"Spring's gonna be hidden in a deep forest somewhere! Frost.... I need you to take her there!". Frost whines and Jack puts back on his shirt. "I'm serious! I.... Just need a minute.... To rest...." He passes out on the ground and Frost howls.

Grace starts walking through the tower, walking up the levels. She's about to reach the top, when she hears Frost. "FROST!". Grace runs down quickly and sees that Frost is panicking. She then realizes why, when she sees her friend lying on the ground. She looks at the map and picks him up saying "FROST!". She gets on his back and they take to the sky, hoping to save their friend.
