Quest 2: Spring

"Great, that's 1 down, 3 to go!" Grace said as they got Frost and Jack pulled out a map. "Spring right? Then it'll most likely be somewhere that plants are well known for." Jack says while Grace looks around. While he's searching the map for possible locations, he says "If you want a snack or something, just look in my bag.". Grace walks over to a black backpack and opens it.

She pulls out a bar of chocolate, but before she tears it open she sees a photo. She pulls out a picture of a younger Jack, with a few other people beside him. "Hey Jack." She says bringing it over. "Shoot." He says. "Who are these two boys next to you?". Jack bolts up and snatches the photo from her. His expression darkens slightly before he smiles and says "My uh.... Brothers.".

He looks at her and says "Word of advice.... If you see them, don't mention me or go near them.". With that on her mind, he said "Anyways, we have a slight issue with the map.... There are 3 places it could be.". She looks at the places he marked down on the map and he says "3 places. Hawaii, Belize, or the Amazon. All three of which we'll have to check, so as the one with powers, you choose.".

She looks at the places and says "Let's starts with the one that has the nice beaches, I've never been to one before!". Jack facepalms and starts laughing. "Got something to say?" She says annoyed. "Sorry, it's just that- I keep forgetting you're not human! So of course I want to see how you'd react to the beach!". The two get on frost and he starts running.

"So when we get there, do we just wait it out? Or do we-". They see frost stop moving and growl. The two hop off and quickly pull out their weapons. The see more wraiths, except these ones had completely black skin and were burning. "*Cough* Holy- That thing has one foul stench!" Jack says. The two get ready to use their weapons but they hear.... Shots?

Quick, electrical bullets, went through the heads and chest of all the wraiths, sending them to ashes. Jack recognized the perfect aim and said "We need to leave!". He grabbed Grace's hand and they turned around to see someone who was 5'11, brown hair, cream colored skin, and was wearing a brown and red sweater with jeans. "Well would you look at this Orion!" He said holding a staff, generating the same fiery energy.

The other came out and looked exactly the same except he was 5'10 and skinnier. He spun two pistols in his hands and they sparked as he said "If it isn't little weak Jack!". Grace looked puzzled until Jack said "Orion, and Dusk.... My brothers.". The twins circled them like sharks and Jack said "What are you two doing here?! Shouldn't you be off back home?!".

Orion looks at him and says "We were, but then we saw some stuff online that showed you and this girl using magic and shit. So we thought, how much money could we make off of this one?". Dusk pointed his staff towards her and said "And you brother? You never called or texted, so maybe a punishment is in order! That girl will sell a hefty price, but you? Who says we need you alive!?".

{Dusk and Orion}

The two got ready and while Dusk spun his staff, Orion got behind him and shot bullets, scattering them throughout the area. Grace and Jack got down and Jack said "We need to take out my brothers, here, and now!". Grace stopped him and said "Can you handle Dusk?". Jack nodded and said "Aim for Orion's hands. Freezing them will stun him for a short time!".

They both came out of their cover and Jack threw his ax to split them up. When they were separate from each other, he used the boots and pushed Dusk away from Orion. He called back his ax and then swung it down. Dusk blocked the attack and swung at him, sending a wave of fire towards him. "You are weak brother!" He said taunting Jack. "To think you were able to survive this long!".

Meanwhile, Grace was having a shootout with Orion. "Give up girly! I don't want to hurt ya before me and my brother get to have some fun with ya!". Grace got angry at that and shot an Ice arrow upward. "You missed-". Before he could finish, the arrow landed in his left hand. "AHHHHHH!" He cried out as Grace ran up to him and landed a punch to the jaw. "I've got so many ideas to kill you right now, but I'm a good person.".

Back with Jack, he was loosing the battle with Dusk. "SO pathetic! To think that you really left, when THIS was all the strength you had!" Dusk said knocking him to the ground. An arrow went past his head and he picked up Jack by the collar. "I know the REAL reason you came to that mountain, does she?". He dropped him and walked over to his brother.

The two walked off while Grace stood in shock at what had happened. "Jack?" She said seeing him curled up in fear. She went over to Frost and said "Make sure they don't come back.". He howled and then ran off in their direction. "Jack, take it easy. They're gone now. We need to finish this, so that everyone can remain safe. Can you stand?". He took a few breaths and then stood up.

"L-lets go." He said shaken.

While they were flying, Jack fell asleep on Frost's back. "I swear Frost, there is something about this mission that has him on edge! How did those two even find us?!" Grace said to him. She looked through the book and said "Those things that attacked us, Blaze Wraiths, says here that they come from summer. But that still doesn't explain why those two have weapons.".

They landed down near some palm trees and she nudged Jack. "Jack, we need to go.". He groaned and said "Just 5 more minutes....". She sighed and made a ball of snow in her hand. She turned towards him and threw it. Once it connected the cold jolted him awake. "Let's go sleeping beauty, we got a world to save!".
