Spring Helping

The kingdom of Spring is very large and immense on the inside, with tons of plants and flora spread through it.

A tune of humming is heard, until Grace bursts in with Jack over her shoulder. "Well look who it is! To what do I oh the- Is that a dead body?!". "He's not dead yet! Just save him!".

"Ugh, I feel like a train hit me.... And then went in reverse to confirm the kill.". Grace ran over and hugged him as Frost licked him. "Ah, guys it's okay, I'm fine!" Jack said calming them down. "Tell that to your unconscious body a few seconds ago.". The person in question was a girl who was 18, 5'11, lime green skin, dark green hair, and she was wearing a long green dress, covered in flowers.

"Jack, this is Laura, the princess of Spring!". Whilst she was talking, Laura noticed black cracks creeping up Jack's neck. She then turned dark and said "Give me time to finish healing my patient.". Frost and Grace then bolted out the room, and she closed a door behind them. He sighed and she said "I saw those cracks, and if I didn't know any better....".

He sighed and thought to himself 'Let go.'. His skin turned a dark grey color, and his hair became jet black. His eyes turned black with a white pupil in the center of them, and glared at her saying "Happy now?". "I knew it. What the hell is a season shadow doing here?". He glared again and said "Half, season shadow. And I was born here so piss off!".

He removed his shirt and she stared at the wound. "Just heal me and get it over with!" Jack yelled at her. He hands glowed green and she touched the injury, slowly healing it. She stopped halfway through and said "Answer my question, and then I'll finish.". He sighed and said "I'm here to fix what my 'people' have done. Do you really think that the remnants are responsible for all this weather?!".

She laughed and said "You're acting like a caged animal. Always baring its fangs and teeth until it's forced to be put down! So tell me MONSTER, do you enjoy others suffering?". "Stop-" "Do you enjoy hurting?!". "I'll hurt you!". Laura smirked and said "And what about Grace?". Black flames came from the corner of his mouth and eyes and he said "Keep. Her. Out of this.".

She finished healing him and said "Grace is a good person, and you are a season shadow. Sooner or later, you'll lose control and kill her. Mark my words, if it comes to it I'll kill you myself.".

The two stepped out after Jack made himself look human again, and Laura said "You came to help right? Follow me.". They followed her to a dried up lake, and see a river in the same condition leading to it. "Blaze wraiths. They've set up repeated barricades to prevent water from flowing. Wanna know the stranger part? Hades, remnant of Summer, is leading them into our lands.".

Jack looks and says "That makes sense, without water spring it pretty much screwed. And if Hades power involves fire, then he could burn everything.". He looks at her and ask "So what do you want us to do?". "I want you to do two things, the first is to defeat all the fire wraiths blocking the water. The second, defeat Hades. He's the one that runs this. But before you go, Grace, take this.".

She gives her a wooden bracelet and says "Push the button right there, it'll turn into a shield if you need it.".

"Alright, Jack you go handle the wraiths and I'll-" "Actually,". Grace looked at him and he said "Let me handle the remnant this time. I can handle 1 hard job!". She sighs and says "Just shout if you need anything.". When she walks away he sighs and says "I need to release some of this energy. And the only way to do that.... Is to strike at its source.". He gets rid of his human look and looks towards a forest fire.

"Humans are so fragile. Frail, weak, powerless. You can almost say the same about life. And it's my job to extinguish it, like a moth to a flame.". Hades had dark red skin, and yellow cracks all through his body as if he was lava. His hair was in huge spikes, and he was wearing a full set of armor that was a deep crimson color. "I could say the same thing.". His fiery eyes whipped around and stared at Jack.

"A season shadow? How pathetic the people of this land are, to send a shadow to do their work!". Jack smiles and says "Actually, I came of my own accord. So you can either leave now, or leave in a coffin. Your choice.". A fireball went towards him and he stepped to the side right before the impact. "Coffin it is.". Hades was about to send a fireball, when black chains made of stone, leaped up and shackled him to the ground.

Once he broke the chains, a ring of black flames was made around him. Black Ice wrapped around his body, and a spear of black energy went to his throat. "H-how?! This power, you're-". Jack smiled and dispersed all of what he created, and started putting out the fires. As he was doing that Hades said "There is only one other shadow with that kind of control! Who are you?!".

Jack walked over to him and said "It seems you know my father.". "I-impossible!". Jack smiled and grabbed his throat. He pinned him to a large rock and said "My name is Jack Shadow-Star. Son of general Kade Shadow-Star. His only child and heir to his name. And by shadow season combat, I should kill you.... However, you fought bravely. So I say this: Call back your wraiths, and if I see you in another land besides your own again- Well.... You already know.".
