Hmmm... Sounds good. The whole summary gives that western novel vibe. Where you know you are going to have epic spanning plots and lots and lots of politics and backstabbing. It sounds very much like a forgotten prince is found and brought back to palace. The rags to riches story. Probably son of concubine? Lol. So I am assuming that due to some 'X' reasons he might have been lost a nd brought back. Monster is difficult to guess. It can be that he becomes a tyrant. Or he is ambitious and slaughters all his enemies to win? But since this is Qidan, I guess a fair dose of magic and stuff, will be there. And this confuses the whole 'guesswork.' Magic is difficult to add. Plus my experience with Qidan writers have been mostly pathetic. Copy pasting each other's work with barest hintd of editing. So hard to say... And finally, the story might not even turn out like that. Chinese authors are well known for coming up with grand imposing synopsis which either make no sense or are barely applicable to the story. But... But... But.. This story is probably heavily depended on authors writing. Such type of stories can soon turn boring and tedious. Adding fillers would make it just worse. story's with such plot need to be fast and full of content. If you are good, you can wrote something as large as Wheels of Time. And if you are bad... Well cya. This is for now. Have fun. And nice cover. No romance. I am still laughing and shocked at the 99 Divorce Title. Absurd.

Not an quite an easy read in the sense that the themes are deep and complex, but it's definitely a fulfilling one. Every few chapter made me think about how I approach some of my problems. This novel's quality is far above most other webnovels.

best character development, complex events, amazing lore and world building. several plot twists, most are unexpected and thrilling, the isekai topic is fundamental but not the focus of the story, to some extent is tangential to the story

This book is amazing. I sat here for five minutes trying to write some fancy, smart-sounding words, but sometimes simple is best. This novel delves into so many topics like politics, war, socioeconomics, psychology, and it succeeds in making me shiver every so often from the great dialogue and epicness throughout. The release rate is a little slow, but it is consistent. The chapters are normally very long, though, and the quality of the story makes up for the week of waiting. This is a book that I will most likely end up rereading in the future because I enjoy it that much.

This is a story, which completely managed to strike 5 stars in all categories. Perfect work from translators, thanks to them. I suggest to read this in case you enjoy something more than light novel.

Fantastic novel so far (ch-63). Reads like a true epic fantasy novel but leaves a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter, I like it. Great novel, not be missed. At 2 chapters per day, the release is good but you will wish for more... Characterisation and world-setting is neatly done. Perhaps the only fault might be, it has too many characters in the first few chapters but on the otherhand each charater has a background and behaves differently unlike many webnovels. Simply superb

I just wanted to say that webnovel says this story is taking a break but the author has confirmed that the English translation is terminated. He is still writing in Chinese and updates every few months on his instagram…swordmasterless

Have read around 50 novels here and there, xianxia and wuxia, and this one makes it to the top 3 without breaking a sweat ! The plot and character are amazing. The pace is not monotonous at all and intereaction are realist without OP. Only sad part is that it was dropped by Qidian, sad choices of the editorial staff..

As a reader until chapter 240 I must say, even though it's a good story this novel is a waste of time. Nothing of the stories good points can make up for the ENDLESS WALL OF USELESS HISTORY DIALOGUE. I liked this story but I'm sick of reading 3 entire chapters of dialogue from a side character for the MC to walk down the hallway. I'm patient but I don't want to wait until chapter 900 for MC to turn 8. I like well developed stories like "Release that Witch" and "Lord of Mysteries" but this is not one of them. This story has great points but not great enough to warrant this level of wordpadding. I'm dropping this, best case scenario this is a skim read novel.

I enjoyed it till ch50 after that it became just as torturous for me as the story is towards the mc. The pacing is well... Slow, slow to an extreme level. 250 some chapters in and the time passed since chap 1 is just measly amount of 2 months. Its forced, its bland and most importantly its dry.

NOT RECOMMENDED!! Started since 2016 and 470+ chapters, what?!?! That release rate of raw chapters 😂. The big problem here when this novel become premium and you need to pay at least 12 SS and the highest 26 SS, the pages of the chapter is good and you can't complain about that but is not really worth of your SS because the story pace is slow. If you have a LOT of SS then i recommended this for you is worth of your time. Haha Don't mind English and sorry for bias review!

Just started reading this. Think I like it. A huge difference to the rest on QI, with a way more delicate and detailed plot (seems like it ist at least). It's a little bit simular to Brent Weeks (Way of Shadows). Tuuuuuuuuuuuut tuuuuuuuuuuuuut tuuuuuuuuuuuut.

It is rare to come across such level of plot development and pacing when reading light novels. The author should definitely publish this as a proper novel. I wouldn't be surprised if you get a movie and TV series deal out of this. Great job.. keep it coming.

This is well written and has a lot of interesting parts but, it's uber confusing man. I can't understand what's happening most of the time. Actually I sort of take back the 'Well written" part. I don't know if it's well written at all. Following the plot in this story makes me dizzy.

This novel is a truly surreal literary masterpiece and I consider it the pinnacle of web novels next to RI and LOTM Writing first-class characters You will never find here a one-dimensional character And the dialogues in the novel are very deep and studied And the intrigues and tactics and unexpected events are something else entirely.
