Chapter 18 ‘ If you won’t do it, I will!’

POV Aurora

I woke up with a bad headache. It actually hurt all over my body, but my head really radiated!

I carefully opened my eyes to get used to the light. I felt two strong hands wrapped around me and the grip got stronger.

I looked at the person holding me.

"Jayden?" I groaned.

"Aurora!" And he pulled me even tighter.

"You are alive!" He shouted with relief.

"Well yeah, why should I not?"

"You were dead." He said reluctantly.

My eyes widened. I was dead, I am now alive again am I?

"Am I a... vampire?" I said with a shakily voice.

"No." He said sad it seems. I breathed a sigh of relief.

"How do you feel?" And he stroked my cheek, that felt nice..

"I have a headache, well it kinda hurts everywhere, but my head takes all the attention from all the pain."

"Okay, yes those are the side effects of the poison of the bacteria Clostridium botulinum."

"What?" I looked at him with wide eyes.

"The vampire who bit you before she became a vampire ingested the most deadly poison among other things poison from the bacteria Clostridium botulinum and now she has the power to infect people with it."

"That sounds bad.. Thanks for saving Jayden." I said soft.

"I would never forgive myself if you didn't make it, Flower" He smiled at me.

But suddenly my mind ruined the moment, it occurred to me that he has left me and has not said goodbye and has not spoken and has promised to make it up to me!

"Why did you leave?" The smile disappeared.

"I.. that was the best for both of us."

"'The best for both of us'? Are you serious Jayden?" I wriggled out of his arms.

"Aurora that I'm leaving, I do the best for both of us trust me."

"And why is that? Why should I trust you" I looked at him angry, but he did not look back.

"I thought a lot about it before I left Aurora, but this is the best for you." My heart tore into billions of pieces, everything hurt ten times more.

"Oh, well then if you are so sure of that, I assume you'll be leaving soon?" I was still trying to think hopefully that he has been talked about how he thought then and that he now wants to stay with me.

"Yes" He said numb.

"I just don't understand why?"

"First you want me to stay with you forever and now you say you don't like the idea anymore"

"It's not like that Aurora, not at all! I love the idea of us, but I have to become the successor of my parents and for that I need a woman, a vampire woman. I could never make you a vampire, I know you hate the idea" The idea that he was with someone gets and gets married, it hurts somehow.

I sighed as I got up, but it suddenly turned black in front of my eyes from the pain and I passed out..

I woke up with another bad headache I looked around for Jayden, but he wasn't there. I got out of bed and looked in the mirror. I looked bad, my makeup was everywhere and nowhere.

"Whatever" I muttered, I didn't feel like doing anything.

I walked out of my room and went to my father's office. I opened the door but he wasn't there.

"Maybe he is downstairs"

I walked down and I ran into a guard.

"What are you doing here? You are supposed to be in bed." He looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm looking for my father, Vincent."

"He is in the conference room, I will report that you are looking for him."

"I can do that myself, thank you."

"No I have to do that." And he walked towards the conference room, I sighed and rolled my eyes.

I looked behind me and a memory came up that I wanted to escape and that I stood on the stone wall and let myself fall and that Jayden saved me.

"Aurora." My father walked up to me and I turned around.

"Hey dad, where is Jayden?"

"Jayden has left, sorry Pearl." I sighed

"Of course" I grumbled

"Aurora, he cares for you, very much and that's why he lets you go and you have to let him go too, he has a great future ahead of him as king. He really wants you as his queen, but he is afraid that he will ruin your life, because he has to turn you into a vampire. " I sighed again

"Yes I know, but he did not say goodbye again."

"What do you want to do about that? He doesn't come back to say goodbye, he hates to say goodbye." My father was right there is no chance he will come back just to say goodbye. I sighed again. Until suddenly something came to my mind.

"He doesn't have to come here, but what if we just go there." I looked at my father hopefully, but he shook into the negative.

"Dad please?" I looked at him with puppy eyes, he has never been able to resist my puppy eyes. He sighed.

"Fine Aurora I owe you." He rolled his eyes.

I ran to the stairs.

"Aurora what are you going to do?"

"To make myself look better, we'll go to the vampire royal family after all."

I ran to my room to perfect my make-up and pick out nice clothes. I chose black skinny jeans and a white lace top and my hair is naturally curly so I just need to brush through it with my hands a bit and done. I ran downstairs and my father was ready.

"Well well look at that" I laugh.

We entered the car in a reasonable new car bmw x7 black edition. We sat in the car for about 30 minutes and we came to a large gate with a lot of security my father had to say his name at like five different security services and why he came said 'My name is Vincent Meijers and this is my daughter Aurora Meijers and we come here for Jayden Skye the vampire crown prince' we were waiting a total fifteen to get through all the security. We arrived at a beautiful large castle. It really looks like a fairytale castle. My father parked the car and we went to the front door and of course there are also guards there again we did exactly the same tune 'My name is Vincent Meijers and this is my daughter Aurora Meijers and we come here for Jayden Skye the vampire crown prince' and they check some list and finally let us in. We entered a very large hall with a large chandelier and a huge staircase. A woman came up, she had a beautiful dress black with red flowers around the neck and she also had a crown on, the vampire queen, Jayden's mom. I really don't know what scares me more.

"Vincent, how nice that you are here! You know that you are always welcome in here."My father bends, I decided to bow too.

"Hello Felice." He said back.

She looked at me penetratingly and she completely checked me out. There was also a man in a black suit with a crown on, I assume the king, Jayden's father. Again I don't know what scares me more.

"Vincent" He said with a big grin

"Erick" My father grinned back. Erick's gaze fell on me too.

"And who is this beautiful young lady." He said.

"This is my daughter Aurora." Erick also checked me completely out.

"Why are you here?" Felice asked.

"Aurora wanted to come here for Jayden." The king started to grin.

"She's human, Vincent." Felice said.

"I'm not here to be Jayden's bride, my queen. I came here because we have to say goodbye to each other. He already left me twice without saying goodbye plus he promised to make it up to me, what I'm still waiting for." Shot out of my stupid mouth!

The queen walked up to me and she was very close to me.

"You are 'her'" She looked at me intense.

"The human who was Jayden supposed to protect. He already said something about how stubborn you are. That's exactly what Jayden needs, I like you."

"Excuse me?"

"A guard will take you to him." She snapped her fingers and a guard came up and made me walk along.

We went up the huge staircase and we walked down a very large hallway with a lot of doors. The guard stopped at the end of the hall in front of a large golden door with ornaments on it.

"Jayden Skye's room." And he bowed and walked away.
