Author's pov

A girl was standing near the window of her room, lost deep in her thoughts. Her name is AASHIQA AHUJA. She was lost in the thoughts of her bestfriend who was missing from the past two weeks.

MAYA RATHORE, she was Aashiqa's emotional support since the beginning of their friendship.Aashiqa was tensed because they were best friends from the beginning of their friendship in kindergarten.

She loves her best friend more than anything in this world. She was equally important to her as was her brother AARAV AHUJA because these two are the only people in her life (if we don't include her dearest computer).

After the death of her parents when she was only 3 and her brother was 6, she became an introverted, shy, and conserved person. She never shares what's running on her mind or what she thinks is disturbing her to anyone, which is why she did not tell her brother about missing Maya.

It was very strange as this was the first time that Maya had gone somewhere without telling her because every time she went somewhere, Aashiqa was the first person to know. But this time she did not tell her and suddenly disappeared which was worrying her more and more.

At first Aashiqa thought that after some days she would be back but not even after two weeks she was back and was not even responding to her calls or messages. This is scaring her more than anything. She tried to find her location by trying to track her phone too but again, there was no response.

Now you must be wondering how did she even try to track Maya's phone so it's because Aashiqa worked as an ethical hacker for the government apart from doing her masters in an university. No one apart from Maya and Aarav knew her secret about the job.As she was busy staring out of her window, lost in her thoughts, her brother knocked on her room's door and saw her staring out mindlessly thinking something deeply.

He called her name "Aashi...kaha khoi hui hai bacche? "

(Aashi... where are you lost child?")

She turned around and saw her brother standing on the door. She walked to him and said

"Aree bhai aap...please come inside na. Why are you standing there?"

She pulled him inside her room and made him sit on the bed beside her. He sat on the bed and asked again

"Where were you lost aashi? What were you thinking so deeply? I am seeing this from the last two weeks that you are lost somewhere, not paying attention to your health and anything, did something happen? You can tell me anything, you know that right?"

She can sense the worry in his voice. She says with a gentle smile

"I am fine bhaiya ... Nothing to worry. It's just some study stress nothing else, so don't worry"

She can tell easily that her brother was not satisfied with her answer and he also knows that she is not telling the truth but he chose to not to interfere, he knows that if she wants she will tell him eventually. So he also smiled and said

"theek..chal ab raat bahut ho gyi hai khana khale okay?"

("ok fine ...it's very late now, come and have dinner okay?")

After saying that both brother and sister move towards the dining area for dinner...After dinner both of them went towards their rooms to sleep but not before spending some sibling time together...
