Chapter 5.

Sharon's POV

I woke up to my alarm ringing and I opened my eyes slightly to see that the sun was already streaming in through the window. It was already 9:15 am, well I'm not an early riser.I quickly stood up from bed, remembering I have to go to that restaurant for a job, only for me to get tied up by bedsheets and fall flat on my butt.

"Ow!" I winced rubbing my butt as I stood up. Well today is starting out not so well.

I made my way to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and entered the shower.I did my business and came out of the bathroom, creamed my body with my body lotion then went to my closet. Checking through the new clothes I bought, I picked a black pant and a blue tank top, nothing too much.I picked my underwears also and got dressed. I also picked a black sandal to go with it.

After I finished, I went down to greet my parents and also take my breakfast. There I found my parents in the living room, my dad reading the papers while my mom was on her phone. It's a Saturday so no work for them.

"Good morning dad, mom." I greeted them both, while I sat next to my dad as he put his arm around my shoulder. Yeah I'm a daddy's girl.

"How are you dear, hope you slelpt well?" Dad asked me. I nodded a yes, while Mom also asked how I was and I told them I was okay. They knew today is the day I'm going for a job interview and they were worried. But I assured them that everything would be okay.

"Well I'm certain you haven't taken your breakfast, so go to the kitchen and get your food." Mom told me. I stood up and made my way to the kitchen, I didn't want to eat anything to heavy as I was nervous, so I just made myself a bowl of cereal and ate in the kitchen alone with my thoughts.

I packed my car about 8 blocks to where the restaurant was. How would it look to take such an Audi to the front of a restaurant and then ask for a job, of course they'd look at me crazy. So I had to pack far away. I got out of my baby and started walking towards the restaurant, and not long I reached there. My hands were shaking as I opened the place, It wasn't a very large place but couldn't be considered a small place at all. The interiors were very nice making this place very welcoming with music playing in the background. As I had opened the door, I hadn't noticed that people were staring at me,just then I became very nervous that restaurant was filled with a lot people.

I hurriedly made my way to the counter where a light looking girl stood pressing her phone. She was pretty and when she looked up, she noticed my presence.

"Hi!" I smiled at her.

"Hello, what would you like?" She asked smiling back at me. I looked at her name tag and saw her name was Lily.

"I saw the notice outside requesting for a waitress, so...um…what I'm trying to say is, I came for the job interview." I told her nervously.

"Okay, I get you. No need for you to be nervous, I'll take you to the manager." She chuckled lightly, probably seeing the way I was nervous. Hell, I would be. Back in my fathers company I didn't take any interview, just took my place as the assistant CEO after college.

"Alright thank you." She signaled for me to follow her. I did and we made our way to the managers office. Lily slightly opened the door and pecked her head inside.

"Mr Marcus, someone is here for a job." She told the person inside. I heard a 'send her in' and Lily looked at me and motioned for me to go in.I made my way into the office, it was a medium sized room but well furnished. I also saw a man sitting, he looked to be in his middle 30's.

"Good morning sir." I told him as he stood up to shake my hand.

"Morning Miss?" He gestured for my name.

"Sharon Davis." I answered and he told me to take a seat opposite him.

"So, Miss Davis, you came for the job right?" He asked and I nodded. "Do you have any experience of being a waitress?" He asked him and I told him yes, which was a very big fat lie, because I gotta get this job.

"Why did you leave your old job?" He asked again.

"You see, the owner of the restaurant ran into bankruptcy and couldn't pay us anymore so she had to dissolve all of us and closed down the business." Another big fat lie.

"Ohh, that's sad. So how can you say you relate with customers?" He interviewed me.

"I'd say I relate with them pretty good. I'm an easy going person." I told him, which entirely wasn't a lie. Back at my dads company, I relate with our clients and employees really well and they seem to like me. My dad would always call me to talk to any of our contractors we wanted to do business with. I would say am quite convincing.

The manager nodded his head. "Well sharon, I'm happy to tell you, you got the job!" My face lit up instantly.

"Really?" I was stunned.

"Yes you start on Monday, since we don't open your Sunday and come as early as 9am. And please leave your name with the accountant at the counter." He told me.

"Thank you very much sir." I beamed with joy as I stood up and left his office. As I left his office I noticed a door opposite his, that said 'CEO'. I guess that must be the owners office.

I made my way back to the front desk, where I still found Lily.

"So how did it go, did you get the job?" She asked eagerly and also grinning and I was sure I was going to get along well with this girl. she seems really nice.

I smiled at her. "Yes I got it."

"Aww, I'm so happy for you." She said.

"Thank you. So, Mr Marcus asked me to drop my name here." I told her.

"Alright...write it down here." She said handing me a paper and pen, while I wrote my name and handed it back to her.

"Bye see you on Monday." I told her and I left the restaurant. I walked back to my car, unlocked it and got in. Wow that was…I didn't even know what to say. My first ever interview and I liked it. So, that was how it felt looking for a job. I guess I would like this life I'm about to live, get to know how people who are not has blessed as I am get on with their daily lives.

I called my friends and told them about the news and they were both happy.

Earlier in the morning, I had called my Agent and told him to look for a small apartment that wasn't far from the restaurant. Now I called him back after the interview and he told me he found a place. We agreed to meet and he took me to the apartment. The place was small and cozy with a small living room, one bedroom, bathroom and kitchen and I cringed when I saw it. Would I be able to live in a place this small? And anything bigger would be suspicious for someone who is just a waitress. So I paid for the house immediately to the landlord. I also told my agent to get people to get the house cleaned up and ordered for furniture's, bedstand, TV, refrigerator and every thing I would need in a kitchen — nothing to fancy.

I went home really exhausted, with every thing I had to do.I was called later at night and Thankfully everything was done that Saturday. The house was furnished to my taste and I planned on moving in on Sunday evening.

I hope Monday flies and be here already, can't wait to start this adventure.
