Crimson Armored Dragon

Yakou turned his sight high above the volcano as an enormous shadow was covering the sunlight because the Crimson Armored Dragon woke up from his slumber. It seemed that nothing could escape its senses when he entered its domain.

Sensing its aura, Yakou realized that the Crimson Armored Dragon had indeed reached the Divine Sovereign Realm and, in terms of energy capacity, was comparable to the Saint Realm - Saint Transformation Stage.

That was not very good news, but the good news was that, after fighting many of the Divine King Realm Profound Beasts, he found out that the Profound Way was vastly inferior to the Evolutionary Cultivation System.

While they had large energy reserves, but their combat prowess was severely lacking, though the Profound Beasts had relatively high vitality and defenses.

The Crimson Armored Dragon was an enormous creature that was far bigger than any other creatures within the Flame-Heart Volcanoes. The length of the entire dragon was above three hundred meters, with a wingspan above 800 meters.

It had crimson-red scales and countless spikes around its entire body, with a menacing look as the Crimson Armored Dragon looked at Yako with hatred because someone had intruded its territory.

Not only did the intruder woke him up from his slumber, but he also killed many of the draconic Profound Beasts and three out of four Divine King Realm Profound Beasts that served the Crimson Armored Dragon.

This enraged the ruler of the Flame-Heart Volcanoes not to end, as the enormous dragon opened its jaws and spewed a huge wave of dragon fire at the Crown Prince of the Ōtsutsuki Clan.

He could sense the power of the dragon's breath because that was the most basic ability of the dragon that they had. And also one of the most dangerous of their racial abilities, as the dragon's breath contained immense heat and countless other properties that were problematic to deal with.

In a split of a moment, Yakou released a beam of Dust Release straight at the incoming dragon's breath as they clashed in the air. The overwhelming power of the dragon's breath was still nothing in front of Dust Release.

Yakou's Dust Release negated the Dragon's Breath of the Crimson Armored Dragon entirely and nothing remained from both of them. The dragon that ruled the entire Flame-Heart Volcanoes looked at the intruder even more intensively before he roared loudly and flapped his enormous wings.

"Interesting..."

Yakou muttered as he looked at the enraged Crimson Armored Dragon that was flying in circles around him. Suddenly, all of the flame elements started swirling around him in a tornado-like pattern.

In a moment, it shot a pure beam of fire towards Yakou, who dodged the incoming fire beam of the concentrated fire element, but it didn't stop there, as the heat was increasing with each passing second and the attacks were becoming more and more faster and numerous.

He had to admit that the Crimson Armored Dragon was relatively powerful, but most of the power stemmed just from the overwhelming amount of Profound Energy that the Crimson Armored Dragon was able to control.

In terms of pure combat prowess, the Crimson Armored Dragon wasn't that far from him; one could say that they were almost equal. Still, Yakou just smiled at this because he finally was able to grasp the combat capabilities of the Crimson Armored Dragon enough to begin his counter-attack.

Instantly he was enveloped by greenish-charka as his Tensei-Sharingan was spinning and green lighting started crackling around him. He gripped his katana as he shot towards the Crimson Armored Dragon, appeared in front of the humongous dragon and slashed at the dragon's head.

"Heaven's Blood Sword Style - Heavenly Cut: Lightning Retribution!"

He infused the Lighting Release into the sword as he prices through the Crimson Armored Dragon's left eye, blinding the Crimson Armored Dragon on one of the eyes. After he pierced the Crimson Armored Dragon's left eye, he flashed away from the dragon.

"Heaven's Blood Sword Style - Heavenly Cut: Lightning Retribution!"

He once again attacked when the Crimson Armored Dragon was still distracted from going blind as he attacked it's right wing this time. In a split second, he slashed at the dragon's right wing, only to be shot down like a canon ball by the dragon's tail.

Yakou's fall created a small crater from the impact of the fall, as he stood up and coughed some blood because he sensed that the impact messed up his internal organs a bit. While he wasn't injured much, it still hurt like hell.

Looking at the enormous flying lizard, actually, he was delighted that the Crimson Armored Dragon was actually fighting back because without it would become too boring. Yakou had some dealings and understanding of dragons.

In the end, Ōtsutsuki Clan and Evernight High Council often dealt with the dragons of the Dragon Nest Origin World and the one thing he learned about their kind was that they were immensely arrogant, overconfident and lazy creatures.

Dragon would never fight his opponent as equal unless he was forced to it, so that gave Yakou an initial advantage, especially when the Crimson Armored Dragon realized that in terms of cultivation, Yakou was inferior to it.

So, during the moment of surprise was able to take one of it's eyes and making the dragon half-blind which was a good strategy. The next one would be taking down its wings because while they could fly without them, just with the support of the Profound Energy, dragons didn't us their wings just for flying.

Their wings were also dangerous and deadly weapons...

But now, he didn't have time to analyze the situation completely because the Crimson Armroed Dragon started taking the situation seriously and the real battle was starting...

The Crown Prince of Ōtsutsuki used his limited knowledge and proficiency over the Space-Time Shinjutsu as he teleported away several hundreds of meters because the entire area where he previously stood exploded into a massive inferno.

'That would have killed me... so he had some trump cards; we can conclude scenario 2 for the Profound Way with this...'

As unfortunate as it sounded, it was indeed the only sole possibility.

Scenario 2 basically meant that the combat prowess of the cultivators who practiced pure energy-gathering cultivation system was trash, but those with very unique cultivation methods or those who comprehended Dao could immensely boost up their combat prowess.

Yakou then bit his lips before he opened his eyes with excited looks and started at the Crimson Armored Dragon.
