1 vs just you?

Summary of sixteen years...

After baby Xiao Ning'er and baby clone were adapted. Raizen helps the woman with her career as a businesswoman. Their company deals with technology but it was not producing good results for the past two years. It was estimated that after six months, the company will shut down.

So to help her, Raizen pitch in some of the technologies that he created in his free time like more energy-efficient batteries other than the current ones. Holograms based on RWBY world and better processing chips especially for gaming and business sectors. Just by those three, the company was saved and the woman publicly announce that she is adapting Xiao Ning'er and my clone.

Six years later, Ning'er recovered her memory and was having fun with the modern world.

Some people tried to kidnap her but they always failed. Others wanted to frame the woman to get the technology because they could not get it by "normal" means like stealing a file because it was encrypted in multiple languages and inscription patterns that leave people to mind boggled about the high-end security of the company.

Spies can not be even planted in the company without the system noticing them. There were few cases that the company faced the court for made-up claims but was always met with retaliation showing the dirty things that the competing company did like under-the-table transactions, selling stolen technology from other companies, and so on.

Tabane Shinono even tried to hack the system of the company but similarly meet with failure because even if she decoded the physical aspects of the system, the inscription patterns always destroy the source of the hacking so, with just two tries, she gave up and focus on creating the first IS.

Just like what was planned before, the woman will just provide financial support for the children. By the time of twelve, Raizen and Ning'er have their own house to live in. Raizen, who exchanged places with his clone, showed few talents in arts and cooking to the point that he became a celebrity while Ning'er only wants a peaceful life and just competes in martial arts.

When they were just seven years old, Tabane Shinono hack the military missiles around the world and point them towards Japan. Then the story of the "White Knight Incident" happened. The leaders of the world except for Japan, tried to capture the IS but ultimately failed and imposed laws pertaining to the usage of the machine.

A few months before the school starts at the IS academy.

They were selections for being a representative pilot candidate done to know which will be able to study at the IS academy. Ning'er has compatibility only second to Lingyin Huang, who is one of the childhood friends of this world's mc, so she was granted the opportunity to learn there. While Raizen made sure that other people see him touching the IS machine that was on display at that time. When the world knows that a man was capable of having an effect on the machine even though it was already tested multiple times that only girls can use it. It made the headlines of every nation. A month after that, Orimura Ichika was also deemed compatible with the IS machine. Now the world has two male IS pilots.

Fast forward to the first day of school...

Ning'er is with Rin being that they both came from the same country of China and Raizen is in the class of Ichika.

After the introductions were done and the vacant period started, nobody wanted to talk to Ichika other than Houki for being shy. Then she asked him to come to the rooftop to talk there.

While the two went out of the class, Raizen was being surrounded by other girls. Though one person is particularly curious about him.

??: "Are you sure you are Chinese because you look like an American or even a British with your platinum blonde hair and blue eyes."

R: "Yes miss Alcott, I am Chinese as it said so in my birth certificate. Though I am adopted as well as my sister. I am raised in China."

The sentence about him and her sister being adopted pull some strings on the hearts of the ladies.

Cecilia: "You are an orphan?"

R: "Yes we were. My sister and I just got lucky that the person who took us in is a good person. We even have now a little sister that is still in grade school back in China. Even though we were not flesh and blood siblings, we treat each other as such."

One girl changes the topic to lighten up the mood.

G1: "What do you do in your free time back in your home?"

R: "Cooking, reading, learning a new language, cycling, and hiking."

G2: "So that is why you are fluent in Japanese, you even replied to Alcott in English."

G4: "Cooking... You cook your own food?"

Cecilia: "I remember now, you are the chef that my father even fly over to my house when I was chosen to be a representative of England."

R: "Yea, your parents keep asking me to make food again even after the party. I must say, those gentlemen were really taking your time so we never introduced ourselves to each other back then."

Cecilia: "They just want to get to know and have connections to the chosen representative of the country. It's good publicity for them."

R: "So you must be outstanding to be picked then."

Cecilia: *while blushing a little because of the compliment* "Rather than being picked. The selection was done by combat and I am the one who is on top."

R: "Amazing!" *looking at Cecilia in the eyes*

Cecilia blushed more and didn't even want to look at Raizen's eyes.

The conversation continues with him and the other girls until the bell rings.

At night, Raizen was waiting for Ichika because it was decided that they should become roommates for being the only guys in the school.

Ichika: "Oh thank god you're my roommate. I don't know what would it do if I'm in the same room with a girl"

R: "I could guess a few." *reading the IS manual*

Ichika: "Yea like what?"

R: "You might walk into the room when the girl just got out of the shower. The girl trying to beat you up with a wooden sword. You going outside for being scared to be hit by it. Other girls taking a look at a commotion. Begging your roommate to let you in. The girl telling that you are a pervert and tries hitting you again with the wooden sword. You getting a bokken from her back because she also has one but a bra is hanging at the end of it. And finally, you being hit by the sword"

Ichika: "...that is rather visual of an idea."

R: "It's just a guess. Anyway, I sleep first and you do you."

Ichika: "Goodnight then"

The next day...

Teacher Orimura is explaining that the class needs to choose a representative that will attend a meeting that is conducted in school.

One girl nominated Ichika for class representative but another nominated Raizen.

R: "But I want to nominate Cecilia Alcott as representative."

Cecilia: "Me?"

R: "Yes *looks at Ichika* don't get me wrong but, being nominated just because you are different and it will look fun does not reflect the quality of the education system in the IS Academy. I choose Cecilia because she has a history of leadership and Ichika has none."

Cecilia: "Though I am qualified to be a leader, one must also see the potential in other people. So I will decline the offer for being nominated. But because there are two nominees, the representative should be the one winning by IS battle."

Orimura: *looking at Ichika* "What do you say Ichika? The two of you don't have any history of using an IS so the battle will be equal."

Before Ichika can talk, Raizen was to first one to say something.

R: *looking at Ichika* "If you decline then you disappoint a lot of people that have faith in you."

Orimura looked at Raizen provoking her brother. Then Ichika looks around to see the pleading eyes of his classmates and sighs showing that he gave up arguing.

Ichika: "Fine then."

Orimura: "That is settled then, the battle will be next week so that you two have time to prepare."

Ichika: "This will be an awkward week."

G2: "Why do you say that?"

Ichika: "Because he is my roommate."

The girls gasp when they heard it. The two of them were put together in the same room to not bother the other girls.

R: "Don't sweat it, man. The battle is just a formality. I want to also see your understanding about IS after a week."

Ichika: "Ok sure."

After class...

XNing: "I heard you were going to compete for class representative."

R: "Yea... the girl I nominated back out and give the two of us a chance."

XNing: "If only she knew. Just don't bully him too much."

R: *catching Ning'er in his embrace* "So you are choosing his side rather than your husband?"

XNing: "Well, you will probably do bully him and try to provoke him."

R: "That I will do darling."

Within the week, Ichika asks for the help of Houki because he thinks that she can help her. While Cecilia tried to teach Raizen but let's just say that she doesn't want to talk about what had happened and the cameras were not able to record the small spar between them for some reason.

When the battle has come, Raizen chooses the training IS machine at the last minute rather than using his personal IS that was given to both of them so only the IS that Ichika is using was the evolving one.

Orimura: "Are you sure about this?" *talking to Raizen through the speakers*

At the field, Raizen and Ichika were waiting for the battle to start. The weapon that both have chosen were swords so the fight will be done in close quarters.

Orimura: "Are you two ready? Begin!"

Ichika charged Raizen with a swing of his sword in diagonal motion and Raizen just punch Ichika on the face that making him fly to the walls of the arena at a fast speed. This made everyone shocked because except for two people. If not for the shield generated by the IS, Ichika would probably be sent to a hospital.

With the punch made by Raizen, Ichikas's shield was down to two-thirds but it was also the same for his opponent.

Orimura: "He used the energy from the shield to generate that punch. He sacrifices a portion of it just to make a statement."

Yamada: "That is?"

Orimura did not reply but miss Yamada has an idea of what it is.

Ichika then straighten himself and looked at his shield and touch his jaw.

Ichika: "Even with a shield, I felt that one." *looks at Raizen who is now floating above the arena*

Ichika charge again but this time Raizen was either deflecting, blocking, or dodging in the last-minute strikes of Ichika. Though sometimes Raizen let Ichika hit him while he chipped away the shield of the guy.

R: "Is this all you can do dude. What about if something happened to you? You would want your big sister to bail you out again?"

Ichika: "Wha-?"

R: "Oh I know that story, it was on the news. Your sister didn't continue the competition because he has to save you from being kidnapped. Though you were only a child at that time but now, you have a chance to protect her but you are holding back. Show me and your sister what you can do!"

Ichika then remembers the time when he was kidnapped so that her sister would lose by default. After that emotional reflection, the IS transforms to its better version. Ichika then charge up his sword and attack Raizen who also attacked him. Raizen lets Ichika damage him directly so that his shield will drop faster than Ichika.

Announcement: "Raizen loses his shield first. The winner is Ichika Orimura."

The girls who were watching cheered that Ichika win the duel. Even he could not believe that he won. Although three people have a different reaction. Two of which has questions in their head because Raizen is clearly skillful but he let Ichika win the duel.

Orimura talked to Ichika about the sudden drop of his shield even though he won. Next, she and Cecilia talked to Riazen about why he let him win.

R: "Because I don't want to be the representative. That is why I nominated you for it." *looking at Cecilia*

Cecilia: "But when we were doing a spar, I didn't last a minute against you if not for my long-range attacks."

Raizen then pats Cecilia's head for being concerned about him.

R: "To be honest, I was expecting for him to be wary of me after the punch that I made but he keeps attacking me relentlessly. Then I saw his determination when his IS changed from though that skill that drains his shield is rather stupid. Why did miss Tabane Shinono put it there as a function?"

Orimura: "She is a mystery. But are you sure of your decision?"

R: "Yes."

Cecilia was not minding that his hand is on her head and when the conversation was done. She misses the warm feeling of Raizen's hand.

The next day, the class is doing a hands-on practice with the IS. Cecilia and Ichika deployed their personal IS and Raizen rode the personal IS in the default mode that was given to him for the duel that he didn't use.

Orimura then ordered them to fly and dive down nicely. Cecilia did her dive well but Ichika was about to hit the ground hard. Before that happened. Raizen catches Ichika from the side and spins their bodies to lose the momentum of his dive. The results made a lot of girls shout because Raizen was carrying Ichika in bridal style.

Everybody knows that the two of them were both handsome guys but Raizen was considered slightly above Ichika because of his blonde hair and blue eyes. Even Cecilia agreed to that and she had already met a lot of handsome English guys. But Raizen has more appeal to her than the others.

R: "Are you alright?" *looking at Ichika in the eyes*

This made some girls faint especially those who are into BL. Cecilia and Houki were also blushing at what they were currently seeing but Orimura stopped the fiasco.

Ori: "He would still be alive even if you didn't do that. Though you save the school from filling up the ground that he might have carved from his fall."

The class continued and the three of them were helping their classmate to familiarize themselves with an IS.
