Chapter Three

I leaned against the wall in the alley next to the employee door. Ten minutes to go. I had already gone on two dates today, both of which ended with me walking out on them. Torie was a cardiologist and wanted to go on an early morning run with me. I left when she glared at a overweight couple who were going on a run. She told me that they shouldn't be allowed to exist in society since all they did was eat, sleep, and take up space.

Last year I was heavier than the couple, I had a job that I enjoyed and college, but I didn't leave any time for myself to exercise or eat healthy meals. Only after I had graduated did I have time to help myself get better.

I'd turned to her and said, "Torie, you don't know what they're going through and have no reason to judge them." I blocked her number and called Vanessa.
