Instant Level up

Fighting a Grandmaster beast without a single weapon was hard, even for high-ranked chaos energy users.

Although the Chaos energy users could always use their energy to defeat the beast, before that could happen, they must have undergone several injuries.

Kadori, on the other hand, had no Chaos energy, nor a weapon. The only hope of survival was his active skill, Sprint.

While Kadori was busy trying to figure out how to utilize his active skill to take down the beast, the day suddenly turned dark.

The sun that had been restoring his SP was finally gone, and the once bright desert was now illuminated only by the moon in the sky.

"Darn it!" Kadori lamented.Having only 10 SP might not be enough to take down the beast.

Since Sprint required 1 SP per use, he could only use it 10 times.

"I can still defeat it. Yes, I can," Kadori said with a determined look as the beast charged towards him hungrily.

Unlike before, where Kadori would simply wait for the beast to get close and send out an attack, this time he charged towards it as well.

[SPRINT ACTIVATED]

Closing the gap between himself and the beast, Kadori activated Sprint.

With Sprint activated and everything around him now slowed, Kadori seized the opportunity by leaping into the air and delivering a punch to the beast's head.

BAM!

A loud noise reverberated throughout the desert as Kadori's fist connected with the beast's head.

The force behind the punch pushed the beast several meters backwards, and if Kadori wasn't mistaken, he could see black blood trickling down from the beast's head.

"Such power," Kadori mused, glancing at his fist that now had stains of black blood on it.

Even if he did increase his strength stats, he never expected a single punch could do so much damage to a Grandmaster beast.

Kadori didn't think about it too much and decided to finish off this fight, then worry about it later.

The beast finally recovered from the powerful blow and began to charge towards Kadori once more.

"You should have stayed down," Kadori mused, lunging forward towards the beast.

Just like before, he activated Sprint when he got within striking distance of the beast.

Leaping into the air and right above the beast, Kadori joined his two hands together and delivered a heavy hammer strike to the beast's injured head.

BAM!

The blow connected neatly to the beast's head, bringing it down to the floor with its head buried in the sinking sand.

Black blood flowed out from the head and stained the once golden sand on the floor.

Kadori was unsure whether or not it was dead since it laid motionless for a while now.

While Kadori was contemplating, a familiar sound was heard.

[TI RING]

[YOU JUST SHOWED BRAVERY AND DEFEATED A GRANDMASTER BEAST]

[REWARD: INSTANT LEVEL UP]

[REWARD: 10 EXTRA STAT POINTS]

[REWARD: THREE NEW SKILLS][LEVEL UP]

[CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE NOW LEVEL TWO]

[YOU HAVE ACQUIRED A GRANDMASTER'S ENERGY ZEN IN YOUR ARSENAL]

Kadori kept on receiving notifications one after another. Since he received a reward, it meant the beast was truly dead.

Kadori's eyes scanned through the endless notifications. A smile etched on his face after noticing a particular notification.

"Level up."

Kadori had always wondered how he was going to move from Level 1 to the next level, and also his rank.

But after defeating the beast, he gained an instant level up. Which meant all he had to do was kill more beasts to level up.

Kadori sat on the desert sand to catch his breath and go through the rest of the notifications.

Analyzing the system, Kadori's eyes caught the one that mentioned three extra skills.

"Three new skills, eh?" Kadori mused, his finger rubbing his chin as he pondered which skills he must have acquired.

After seconds of contemplation, Kadori finally clicked on it to reveal the skills.

[ACTIVE SKILL: ENERGY CLAWS]

[Description: Player is able to release five claw-like auras from his fingers once the skill is activated. One SP required for use.]

[ACTIVE SKILL: BEAST SUMMONING]

[Description: Player is able to summon a beast he slayed in the past by calling out "Summon," as long as he stores them in his arsenal. No SP required.]

[ACTIVE SKILL: NECROMANCING]

[Description: ???????. Ten SSP REQUIRED]

Kadori glanced through the skills panel. His expression mixed with joy and confusion. The energy claws sounded like a very useful skill during a battle.

Even if he wasn't sure how much damage it would inflict on a beast, at least he finally got something that would defend him.

The second skill was quite confusing to Kadori. How could he summon dead beasts he killed in the past?

Yukiko did mention something about the Enhanced and the Harbingers of Souls being able to summon beasts they tamed, she never mentioned anything about dead beasts.

"Is this system playing with me?"Kadori rose up and approached the dead beast that laid lifeless on the floor, bending down beside it and placing his hand on it.

[ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO STORE THIS BEAST IN YOUR ARSENAL?]

[YES]

[NO]

A notification popped up in front of Kadori immediately his hand made contact with the beast's corpse.

Kadori was curious about how it works, so he replied, [YES]

Saying those words, the beast vanished into thin air like it wasn't there at all.

"What in the...?" Kadori exclaimed with a surprised expression as the corpse of the beast vanished right in front of him.

[DINOCLAW HAS BEEN STORED IN YOUR ARSENAL. WOULD YOU LIKE TO SUMMON?]

Another notification appeared moments after the beast vanished.

'It's real?' Kadori marveled.

Having such a skill could easily make him the strongest man in the world. All he needed to do was kill high-ranked beasts and store them in his arsenal.

DUM! DUM! DUM!.

In the midst of Kadori's experiments, a loud footstep began to approach him.Kadori quickly rose up and shifted his gaze to where the footsteps were coming from.

"Another one?."Catching a glimpse of the beast, Kadori realized it was the same beast he killed earlier.

The only difference was this beast was much bigger than the former, but the same rank.

'I guess I won't have to partake in this fight,' Kadori mused, the wind blowing his spiky brown hair as he knelt down on the floor and placed his hand on the ground.

"Summon!"
