Inheritance : The Progenitor of DxD

Living my life as a normal teenager was more troublesome than I could have ever thought .Not only did something terrible happened to me one year ago, but after that incident I had to live in a town that was filled with the smell of fallen angel, devils and church slaves. And above all of those things, I had to keep a low profile so that I could keep my life intact and my bloody diet. * I don't own High School DxD or Strike the Blood Same thing with the cover. The only thing that I own are my OC and the changes that I would make. * Also this is a fan fiction aka an AU world so for the love of the God, don't start yelling that in the original that didn't happened or that it went completely different : I know and I don't care. Chapter 2 - Having a mysterious and sad life can be a curse.

"Who is that?"

"That should be the newly transferred student, Akatsuki Kojou. He's in the same class as us, if I remember correctly."

"He seems to be different from the rest of the boys."

"Please, Rias, almost all of the boys in this school are either way too scared to talk to any girls or are disgusting perverted. How different do you think he can be?"

"We will have to see if I'm right or not. By the way, do we know more about him other than the fact that he's a new student?"

"A third-year student just likes us. He moved to this town a few months ago and today he got enrolled at our school. Sona-san, did find some rather sad information about him and that's the main reason she believes, Akatsuki-san transferred here."

"Who doesn't have some sad memories in their life? "

"We all do, Rias, we all do…"

"Thank you Akeno and I'm sorry for bringing this up."

Rias replied with a sad expression on her face.

"There's no problem, Rias. You don't have to apologize for that." the raven-haired beauty replied before she turned away again. She knew the meaning behind that sad expression on her friend's face all too well. The crimson princess clearly felt that it was her fault for not helping her peerage with their trauma, but no matter what Rias was trying to do, those scars would not heal that easily. While Rias didn't tell her to observe the new student, Akeno knew her best friend better than anyone, probably better than she knew herself. Akeno was very well aware of what Rias was searching for, she just hoped her friend would find it soon, and maybe then and only then would she stop doing this dangerous method that would one day make her regret whatever she did to achieve her desire…

Meanwhile, I felt watched, yet at the same time, not directly. It was a strange feeling, but no matter what I thought about it, it didn't help me at all, so like any other person, I've decided to forget about that feeling for a moment and continue walking towards my new school.

As I was about to go through the gate and walk towards my classroom, I heard someone calling my name.

"Akatsuki Kojou –san?"

I turned towards the girl that called my name and I saw a young girl with a slim figure, black hair styled in a short bob cut and violet eyes that were covered by a pair of glasses, while next to her was another young girl with long straight black hair that extends all the way down to her knees, with split bangs and heterochromatic eyes, with a violet left eye and a light brown right eye and just like the other girl, her beautiful eyes were being covered by a pair of glasses.

"That's my name, miss …"

"Souna Shitori, the student council president. This is my friend and vice president Tsubaki Shinra. I just wanted to welcome you to our school and ask you about your little friend. "

"Kraaa! Kraa!"

"Of course not, Scar, she was joking. How could you be a small bird?" Turning my attention to the girls, I could see both of them raising their eyebrows at my interaction with Scar, a normal occurrence since Scar tend to follow me when I'm going outside for a walk or even when I'm in a public place.

"Sorry about that, he doesn't like when people call him small. As for who he is…he's kind of my pet."

"I see, but I still have to inform you that pets aren't allowed in our school, so would you please send him home, or if that's not possible, do you have someplace to keep him until you finish your classes?"

"Well, I don't necessarily need to send him home, since he can take care of himself, so I believe there would be no problem with this outcome. Also, thank you for telling me about this rule, Kaichou."

"No problem, Akatsuki-san, it is my job to inform all of the students about the various rules our school has, ever more so when you are a new student and probably no one had informed you about the various rules that are to be respected in our school."

"Well then, I presume, I'll see you later, hopefully for anything other than being scolded by the student council. Have a good day you two."

After I left them alone, both Sona and Tsubaki looked at my back as I was entering the building after explaining to my pet friend that he can't follow me inside the school. Even though Sona didn't tell me that he can't stay at the window, I'd rather not risk getting on her bad side from the first day.

"What do you think about him?"

"I don't know what to say, Sona-sama. He seems to be way pleasant to eyes than most of the guys in our school, Akatsuki-san could very well be from a noble family due to how he seems to give the bare minimum respect to people around him, which would not only put him in a better light, but at the same would give him a few more chances of speaking with those people, and while he hides his pain rather well, Akatsuki-san still doesn't act like any other boy that we know. Not only did he seem to admire us rather than be like most teenagers that only see us as trophies thanks to our bodies, but he also didn't even move his eyes from our eyes, not even for a second, which in my opinion, makes him many times better than any male that we saw. Then there's the fact that I didn't feel anything from him, not even the tiniest bit of magical power that even a normal human that doesn't know anything about magic and the supernatural has."

"Who knows, maybe he will become an ally or maybe he will be just a normal classmate. We will have to wait and see, meanwhile, we will have to keep an eye on him, even more, when he's in our class."

"And if he's someone that has potential? Would you let Rias-san take him? Or we will take the chance and approach him first?"

"We shall see, Tsubaki, we shall see. Until we are one hundred percent sure that he is someone that has potential we wouldn't do anything."

A few minutes later, the same guy that Sona and Tsubaki were talking about earlier, was sitting in their classroom, not paying too much attention to what their teacher was rambling about. The teacher was a nice person, and his lessons were surely interesting, at least for him. But the new transfer student couldn't concentrate on whatever the teacher was explaining, even if he wanted to. There were way too many girls in his class and above all of these, five girls were staring at him from time to time. Two of them were the council president and her vice president that he got to know at the gate, while the other three were a crimson-haired girl, a black-haired girl, and a girl with long, brown hair arranged in multiple drill-like curls. At first, he tried to ignore them, but as the classes went on, those stares start becoming rather annoying and while he should have felt happy that five girls were showing some interest in him, he wasn't in the mood for some love drama, at least not from the first day.

Just as I was thinking about making an excuse to leave this classroom, I heard the teacher calling my name.

"Kojou-kun, could you please resolve this problem?"

"Ah, sorry, could you repeat the question please?"

"A quadratic equation is an equation having a second degree. It means it will contain at least one term in which the variable is squared. The standard form of this equation is?"

"ax²+ bx + c = 0"

"Correct, thank you Kojou-kun."

After that, the teacher left me alone, while I was still thinking about an excuse for my escape, yet before I could find a good and believable reason, the bell was heard.

Finally, that damn bell rang, indicating the end of this dangerously boring math lesson. I was wondering if it was only me, who had no problem solving all those supposedly difficult math problems in a matter of seconds, or if anyone else had no problem with it either. Looking at the confused faces of my classmates I was pretty sure that the answer was the former and that the only reason why I was able to solve those problems was mainly due to my parents encouraging me to learn ahead of my peers from a young age since it would help me in the long run.

As I was about to leave the classroom and got somewhere quiet where I couldn't hear every single thing my classmates were talking about, I felt a hand touching my shoulder and for a fraction of a second, my body moved on its own. Before I knew it, I was having a girl in my arms.

We both blinked at the same time before she turned bright red. Letting her down, I quickly apologize.

"I'm sorry. Usually, people don't approach me like this. Once again, I'm sorry for reacting like this."

"No, no, it was my fault. I'm Kiyome Abe, sorry for surprising you."

"Akatsuki Kojou, I should be the one saying that, Kiyome-san."

"It happens, besides no one was hurt, by the way, Kojou-kun, can I call that right? Do you want to eat together?"

I was surprised to say at least and while I heard about this, I couldn't have imagined that a girl would invite me to eat with her, even more so when it was the first time we've met, but there'll be blood if I refuse.

"I don't see a problem, Abe-chan."

Once again, Abe blushed a little when I called her like that, but she quickly took my hand and dragged me towards the roof, all of this happening in front of four rather surprised and slightly annoyed girls…
