Chapter 10

Title:"Duel"

Outskirts of the Dread reef city

As the retinue of Arthas arrived at the outskirts of the city, his enemy, Vhanelik also arrived, escorted by his own men, the soldiers under Arthas gave way for them and surrounded the two forming a circular duel arena.

"So you're the new king huh kid, then be obedient and give me your life!" Shouted Vhanelik as he unsheathed his longsword and prepared for battle.

Arthas didn't bother with Vhanelik's provocations but instead he just quietly unmounted from his pegasus and readied his spear.

"Why did you use your family as a bargaining chip? Don't you care about their lives?" asked Arthas as he slowly walked forward.

"Hahahaha, family is only next to my ambitions" laughed Vhanelik as he started to slowly ran towards Arthas's position.

"Then you're not worth to be left alive" said Arthas as he dashed forward stabbing with his spear.

Seeing this Vhanelik just smirked and jumped high and use the spear as a platform as he tried to slash Arthas's neck. Reacting to his enemies' move, Arthas did a ducking move and hopped backwards as he evaded the sword on the last minute. Both of them just moved away from each other after this simple confrontation.

"You're unusually quick for someone wearing a full body armor" praised Vhanelik.

Arthas just shrugged this compliment and once again dashed with his spear stabbing forward. Vhanelik saw this and tried to perform his maneuver once again but he didn't expect Arthas to suddenly disappear as he tried to step on his spear. Arthas reappeared on top of Vhanelik with a slashing motion. Alarms blared through Vhaneliks mind as his mind commanded him to duck. He successfully ducked but he was still caught and got a small cut on his back near the nape.

(Imagine Minato's fight against obito when he suddenly teleported at his back with a rasengan but instead of a rasengan he used Levi's signature slash but with a spear in hand.)

Vhanelik did a couple of backflips to have a space between him and Arthas.

'How did he do that?!' Vhanelik thought in anger and confusion.

Arthas just looked at him and suddenly disappeared once again. Vhanelik this time quickly sensed his surroundings trying to figure out where Arthas went. But as he was about to heighten his senses once again Arthas appeared in front of him and stabbed his spear on his chest. His eyes went wide as he staggered standing and eventually he was brought to his knees. Arthas just went on his back and pulled his spear out of Vhanelik's body. After he pulled the spear, Vhanelik's body dropped to the ground dead and he started to piss and excrete his bodily wastes. This scene made some vomit while others became happy as some was turned on as they watched this scene. Arthas just didn't bother with the scene but deep inside he wanted to vomit so bad.

'What in the gods name is happening?!' Arthas thought as he struggled to maintain his image as a powerful and domineering ruler.

"cough* Anyone who wants to challenge me, come forth now and let's end this farce." declared Arthas with a loud and domineering voice.

No one reacted, they were still lost in confusion as they thought that both of them are just equal in terms of combat strength based on their first confrontation. But reality sadly made a joke with them, their lord clearly is outclassed in every way unimaginable and that Arthas was just toying with him from the start.

"I said, anyone who wants to challenge me, come forward!" Arthas's voice reverberated all throughout the battlefield that even the people inside the city can hear his voice clearly.

Still no one reacted to his words they just stood there, dumbfounded but suddenly a spearman dropped his weapon and shield to the ground and kneeled as he placed his face to the ground.

"Your majesty, please forgive me!" shouted the soldier. One by one, the remaining soldiers did the same and their shout was so loud that it can be faintly heard at the capital ship of the fleet. The soldiers on Arthas's side did the same but they just knelt and brought the fist to their chest and shouted.

"We offer your majesty our lives!" everyone shouted in top of their lungs. The guardians and heroes on Arthas's side also did the same but they knelt in front of Arthas and recited their oath.

"Your majesty, we shall be your sword and shield for the rest of our lives. Point to the direction of your enemy and we shall charge towards that direction to kill them, be they gods, demons, or anything as long as your majesty orders us, we shall kill anyone even ourselves. We offer our lives to you, we would rather die than run away fron your enemies. May you always guide us and our race towards prosperity and make the Druchii great again!" recited Arthas's guardians and heroes.

"Long live The Witch King, all hail your majesty!" This phrase was repeated over and over again. The shouts was so loud that everyone on their ships even heard it clearly. And they too started shouting the phrase and eventually the whole city of Dread Reef was shouting the phrase. From the lowest of low to the highest of high they all shouted the same phrase acknowledging the birth of the new Witch King.
