Getting away from the crowd Carl made a few stops for some provisions, being a saiyan he was eating more now so he needed to get more food. He exchanged the gold he brought over from the MCU for some Zeni. After shopping around Carl and HK drove back outside the city. Once a good distance away he exchanged his car for the ship and both HK and Carl boarded.
Before heading to Papaya island Carl wanted to head over to mt Paozu. From carls memories gokus space pod should still be somewhere on the mountain, he will just scan it as they pass to see if they can find it. They got to mt Paozu and started sweeping the area looking for gokus attack ball.
After doing passive scans around the mountain HK informed Carl, {master. I'm picking up a small metallic craft in this sector of the mountain.} he points to the screen on the ship that indicates that it picked up something.
Carl nodded to HK, "good work HK. Let's get over there so we can hurry and get to that tournament." He says as he is already maneuvering the ship to the location. HK gave his affirmative as he assisted Carl.
Once they arrived at the location it was overgrown with vegetation from the forest. Carl stood up, "ok. Seeing as there isn't anywhere we can land, HK I want you to stay on the ship and keep it idle up here as I go down there and get what we came here for." HK nodded and stayed at the controls.
Opening the hatch to the ship Carl was met with the forest below, Trees and plants all around. 'According to the scans it should be right below us.' Carl thought to himself as he jumped off, and utilizing his KI, he slowly descended till he was on the forest floor. First thing he noticed was that the ground he was on was at an incline. Looking around more it seemed like the trees were hiding a crater. Going down further into the crater Carl was met with a bunch of vines that seemed to be covering something. Having a strong feeling on what it was Carl began removing the vines, uncovering what was hidden.
After removing the last vines Carl could see what he came here for, Gokus attack ball. Looking around the ship he noticed how scuffed up it was. Waving his hand in front of the door to the pod, because he didn't see a way to open it, it came to life and slowly opened up. After it opened no fully Carl took a look inside. After rummaging around Carl was able to find an old scouter that had no power and some saiyan body armor. Carl looked at the armor and indeed it stretched when he pulled on it but when he hit it with his fist it was a very hard armor.
After looking and not finding anything els, he was a little bummed there weren't any sibamen, he closed up the pod with the stuff inside and capsuled it up. He then flew back up to the ship that was still hovering overhead. Once inside the cockpit and the ramp firmly shut, HK and Carl made their way to Papaya island.
Once they got to Papaya island Carl found a secluded spot to land and capsule his ship. He and HK then went into the town where the tournament will be held and got a hotel room for their stay till the tournament started. Carl also didn't forget to register for the tournament.
Days passed and the day of the tournament has arrived. HK was in the hotel room seeing as only preliminary rounds were going to be happening. Carl was just loitering around the entrance to the building, doing a bit of people watching. He was dressed in a black t-shirt with the namekian style pants in a black color he got on namek with his tail, hidden, acting like a belt.
As he was musing, over by registration Carl could make out a group of people, looking around slightly worried. A short old man in a black suit, a bald kid in a similar suit but in blue, a young man in a similar suit as the kid, a floating talking cat, a blond lady that was wearing a black T and cargo pants with boots, a short pig wearing clothes, and a young blue haired lady. 'Isn't that the dragon crew?' Carl thought to himself as he observed the group. They seemed to be waiting on something and thats when he remembers that Goku was almost late for this tournament and makes it at the last second.
As Carl was remembering the canon events Carl noticed a confrontation happening with the dragon crew. Three individuals with similar Chinese green and yellow outfits, one was an old man with a hat like a crane, the second was a bald young man that seemed to have a third eye, and the third was what looked like a small child that was white with red circles on his cheek looking like a mime. 'That's Tien and chioutzu….and their master I don't remember that old guys name he wasn't really that important in my eyes' Carl thought to himself and at that moment master Shen, the one Carl couldn't remember, felt wronged for some reason but he just chalked it up to his meeting with Roshi.
After the two groups were done with their discussion. The crane school group went to register and walk into the venue. As they were walking in and passing Carl by the entrance, Tien and carls eyes met. Carl couldn't help but give a slight smirk to the assassin and Tien narrowed his eyes in return. They passed by and Carl refocused on the dragon group. They seemed to be panicking but in the next second they looked off to the side and they all have relieved faces as a kid with spiky black hair and tail wearing a tiger skin skidded to a halt in front of them in greetings. They greet him but they hurry him to register before the time runs out. At this point Carl turned and went into we're all the other participant will be, excited for what's to come.
