ch 22

Two months later Carl was getting ready to leave namek for earth. Carl spent an extra month on namek because it took him some time to be able to access his KI. Having the force made it difficult to access. It probably would have helped if he wasn't also training his tail while trying to access KI. But after gaining access to his KI and training his tail to not loose power when grabbed he began his real training.

The first thing he learned was to fly and sense KI. Through the patient training of Nail and some other kind hearted namekians he was able to get the basics and just needed practice. He could also shoot out basic KI blasts from his hands. Once he was able to shoot KI he immediately went to go and try the iconic move everyone knows and loves, the kamehameha. He did successfully pull off the move but afterwards he was extremely exhausted from low energy. He hasn't tried anything bigger since then till he can get stronger and not use up all his KI reserves.

Besides training Carl also did go over the data pad he got from the dragon. It had all the tech from the frieza force, galactic patrol, capsule corp, and more. Going into Ki and training techniques it had ways for people to access KI and training methods from across the galaxy. Carl was glad to see the yardratians techniques and training methods were in there as well. It also had a way for someone to cultivate god KI by themselves like vegeta did in super but it would take many years to do without outside stimuli, such as training from a god/angel to speed it up.

Carl also had HK work on constructing a scouter to get an idea of where he was at. HK was able to make a rudimentary scouter out of an old data pad he found on the ship. By the time of departure they scanned carls power level and at rest it is at a solid 200. He could increase it to 210-215 for a short time but would be exhausted afterwords and would need a minute of rest. Some may wonder why his power is so low. One thing is that he trained more in technique than in strength so he can have control. two he wasn't a masochist and wasn't going to beat up his body just for zenki boost. If they happened they happen.

Packing up the rest of his things onto the ship he was ready to go. He already said his goodbyes to Guru with him saying they might meet again, giving Carl a shiver down his spine cause if they would meet again that would most likely be when frieza was invading.

After the last minute checks Carl turned to see a farewell group compiling of nail and other namekians he got to know over his stay on namek. He walked up and extended his hand to Nail for a handshake, "well it's been fun. Hope we can meet sometime in the future." Over the time he and Nail formed a bit of a friendship.

Nail smirked at Carl as he grasped his hand, "as guru said our paths might meet in the future. I just hope you're stronger by then." Every time they sparred nail always won because he was significantly stronger than him.

Carl could only scoff as they shook hands, "I'll be sure to give you a run for your money next time we meet." With that Carl boarded his ship closing the ramp. Getting into the cockpit, where HK was already seated, Carl sat in the pilot seat and started taking off with the assistance of HK. Due to the wish on the dragon Carl was easily able to pull up the hyperspace coordinates to earth. After inputting the coordinates and pulling the lever, they entered the familiar glow of hyperspace once again. After everything was set HK informed Carl it would take a day to get to earth. Carl nodded to HK and went about to waist time till they arrived.

After a day passed both HK and Carl were in the cockpit as the glow of hyperspace faded to regular space. Revealing the blue planet earth. Carl pressed a new button that appeared in the cockpit after the wish he made and the ship from the outside view seamed to have vanished. Carl didn't think earth in the DBZ universe had surveillance like that or they would have notice raditz or frieza when they came to earth. Carl just wanted to use his new toy.

Entering the earths atmosphere Carl maneuvered the ship to the closest large city he could see. After getting closer Carl landed the ship outside the city where there was no people. Carl and HK both exited the ship with HK wearing a hooded cape to hide his robotic features at carls request because people from the dbz universe are not use to seeing robots. Even tho Carl thought it would be ok even if people knew he was a droid Carl wanted to be cautious and try not to draw to much attention. With that said Carl capsuled up the ship and brought out his car and both him and HK got in. Because he's in the DBZ universe Carl can keep the car in hover mode because people have cars that hover in this universe. Carl starts the car and heads into the city.

After entering the city Carl found out that it was east city. Carl was a little bummed that it wasn't the famous west city where capsule corp is located. Also, due to carls car being different because a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro doesn't exist in the DBZ universe, people couldn't help but double take at his car due to the unique design according to them.

After driving around a bit Carl noticed some advertising going on with fighters. Either due to DBZ being about fighting or his new saiyan instincts Carl was intrigued. Carl found a place to park, got out, and capsuled his car before walking over to see what's happening.

After geting to where the commotion was there was a small stage and someone was standing in the middle of it. It was the announcer guy from the world tournaments. With his sunglasses and spiked up yellow hair he addressed the crowd. "Hello ladies and gentlemen. I'm here in east city to promote the up and coming 22nd world martial arts tournament happening next week."

The crowd cheers and Carl perked up. 'The 22nd one? Isn't that where goku fight Tien?" Carl thought to himself.

After the crowd quieted down, "and I know you are all dying to see some action. So as a special treat I was able to call upon a past contestant to give us a demonstration." The crowd murmurs and carls wondering who they got. "Well let's not keep you folks waiting, we have our very own… Yamcha!" Carl couldn't help but stumble after hearing the name.

(I already know yamcha probly didn't do this but I'm putting it that he did. I don't think it's not something he wouldn't do anyway.)

After his name was called Yamcha in the turtle hermit school gi rushed on stage doing acrobatics and showing off kicks and punches making the crowd go wild. And finishing off his demonstration with his signature wolf fang fist. The announcer went up to Yamcha. "Simply incredible. Tell me Mr Yamcha we know you didn't win the last tournament but how do you feel your chances this time around are?" After asking he put the microphone up to Yamcha for him to answer.

Yamcha with a cocky grin, "oh don't you worry. Ive trained harder than ever and even had special training from the master roshi himself." He replied showing off his turtle hermit GI.

The announcer turned back to the audience, "well there you have it. Keep an eye out for Yamcha and our other contenders that will be joining for the 22nd world martial arts tournament at Papaya Island." He then threw flyers into the crowd that had the date, time, and location the tournament will be held.

Carl didn't bother to try and talk with Yamcha, one of the main cast. He just felt excited as he grabbed a flyer from the air and decided to enter the tournament. after that thought he went to go make preparations. Maybe his saiyan instincts make him like fighting more, so what? It's not like it's that big of a difference.
