Chapter 73 - Savage Land

Lily made her way away from the scene in her camouflaged form, keeping herself hidden from people and cameras by taking the least populated alleyways and streets.

While she wasn't too worried about cameras catching her on film, she still played it safe and avoided all that she could see— keeping an eye out for them.

As she walked, she thought about her next course of action. She was currently in a completely new place with very little information about it and no connections here.

Bahrain was rather large, but Bahrain itself wasn't her true goal. Through the Causeway, she could get to Saudi Arabia and access all of Asia from there.

Borders weren't an issue for her— with her capabilities, she could either go under or through them without even being seen.

But she needed a goal— a place to set as her end goal, so she wouldn't just end up roaming the land without purpose or cause.

That was when one location came to mind, a location perfect for her plans of making a large hive where she could grow rapidly— it would also provide a source of mass and even abilities she could devour.

The Savage Land.

The Savage Land was a location she remembered reading about in Marvel Comics and mentions in fan communities due to how interesting it was— yet unexplored.

The Savage Land's exact nature tended to change depending on certain comics. However, one key aspect that never changed was its location— the Palmer Peninsula in Antarctica.

To her, the Savage Land would be the perfect spot to set up her main hive nest— on Earth, at least. Not only was it isolated from the outside world, with very few people who knew about it or could access it, but it also held a wide variety of Flora, Fauna, and even people who lived there.

All things she could devour in order to gain Mass and Abilities.

The only issue with this plan was its location— Antarctica.

Currently, she has no way to reach Antarctica; she can't take a boat or plane since she doesn't have any ID— or money, for that matter. While these things aren't impossible to obtain with her capabilities, she doesn't want to do that.

Leaving a paper trial— or a trial in general— could prove to backfire in the long run. Her preferred method would be gaining a method to fly or swim to her location.

While she had a few DNAs right now that would grant her the ability to fly, none of them would provide her the level of flight needed to fly for days— or more— on end in order to reach Antarctica.

Not to mention anything she may encounter along the way— rain, lightening, harsh winds, snow, ice, and more.

'Ok, then, let's just get more things to devour.'

Deciding to devour more things along the way, she made her way through Bahrain and towards the Causeway— from there, she would go to the mainland.

While making her way through Bahrain, however— on foot, that is— she decided to make some simple hive units to help her scout the area.

It was always a good idea to leave some hive units wherever she went as it allowed her to extend the reach of her hive— and they could prove to be useful later on.

She stopped moving temporarily and decided to use the remaining 25600 Mass freely. First, she made 16 worm-shaped units and had them sink into the ground. Those didn't cost too much as they were only the size of a small child.

Next, she created over 500 small insect-like units that were primarily made for scouting. They were smaller than the size of a fingernail and made to look like a normal fly— having them spread out far and wide to reach a large area.

Once she had made her hive units, she had 23900 Mass remaining, which she would save for now.

With that out of the way, she resumed her movement, making her way over to the location of the Causeway she had memorized beforehand— as her body ran, her mind scouted Bahrain using her 500 scouting units.

While Bahrain never played an important role in the Marvel Universe aside from this one mission, it only made sense that other mutants, superhumans, Inhumans, and the like would be here.

Her goal was to find them— and devour them.

And as if to prove her right, less than 20 minutes after beginning her search, she stumbled upon a mutant using their abilities in an alleyway to rob someone.

From the girl's observation, it wasn't any mutant she knew from the series, and their ability wasn't all that powerful— it was simple to create a massive static shock to things upon contact.

It wasn't even as strong as a normal tazer— but it was still power to devour.

She had one of her scouts keep track of that individual specifically, then shifted her path to go after him— her other hive units looking for more prey to devour.
