Chapter 80: Advice(2)

"Huh?"

Luke looked at Lance with disbelief. He then saw Lance also looking at him with disbelief. Luke then asked with a bewildered expression as they both stare at each other through the screen.

"Wait.... Don't tell me you actually also forgot that Finesse is pregnant?"

Lance turned his eyeballs to the side to avoid Luke's gaze. He then spoke with a nervous voice but tries his best to hide it.

· I was also busy too you know? I have a lot of work to do that I can't even get out from my office. But thank goodness that Noah reminded me about it a week ago..... I don't think he noticed that I forgot about it though.

Luke looked at Lance with disbelief, he then spoke.

"Well, you better be glad. I feel like Noah will surely put a sword in your neck once you revealed that you don't actually remember that his wife is pregnant."

· Y-yeah.....

Luke and Lance were silent. It was a very awkward silence. Luke then asked him with a questioning gaze.

"He caught you didn't he?"

Lance was silent while his head was sweating. Luke just brushed his face with his hands and sighed. So he got caught by Noah.

"Oh my god.... We better visit Finesse together then."

Lance slowly nodded.

· I'll.... Buy fruits for her.... What about you?

"I.... I think I'll just buy baby clothes."

Lance and Luke looked at each other. They are both inexperienced at visiting a pregnant woman. They've never done it before. They both don't want to do what they have no experience in but they were 100% percent sure that Noah will hunt them down even in the ends of the earth if they did that.

· I'm hanging up....

"Okay."

Lance hung up. Unlike before, Lance just hangs up without a warning but now that they are more comfortable with each other, they now hang up after asking the other.

Luke just stared at the communication device in his hand and sat back on the tree behind him. He doesn't want to go to the party in Thea kingdom but he can't also ignore the invitation that the king personally sent to him.

"For now.... I need baby clothes. Nash, call Tim."

"Okay!"

Nash then called Tim using his mana an connects it into the magic communication device and Tim's face appeared in the screen. Tim greeted Luke's blank face with a smile.... Smile filled with greed.

· Hello young master! How are you today?

"I see that the business is going well for you to smile that big."

Tim scratched his head and laughed.

· Well yes, we sold so much that we are about to run out of magic devices to sell.

"Hmmm, I see. I'll send you more then."

Tim stopped and looked at Luke with disbelief.

· Wait.... You have more?

"Yeah."

· D-dear god....

Tim holds his chest as if he's going to have a heart attack. Luke ignored him and told him what he needed.

"Tim, I need baby clothes."

· Hmmm? Pardon?

"I said I need baby clothes."

Tim looked at Luke with confusion. He doesn't know what he's going to do with it but he still asks anyway.

· Okay... For what gender?

Luke started to frown and sit back on the tree. He then started to think.

'If this is a cliché world..... Maybe a boy? Usually, it'll be twins like both boy and girl but the chance of it being a boy is pretty high. I don't know.... I'll just follow my guts.'

"For a boy. Buy the expensive ones."

Tim smiled.

· Okay! I'll make sure that it'll be of the highest quality!

"Hmmm, great."

Luke then hangs up and sighed. He then heard Nash beside him.

"Why did you say boy?"

"....It's just my gut feeling. I am pretty confident that it'll be a boy."

Nash looked at Luke with surprise. He then turned his head when he heard Erdene's voice approaching them.

"You have pretty unique friends."

Luke looked at Erdene approaching them and sighed.

"They're not my friends."

"Ho? Nevermind, I heard that the king of Thea kingdom will hold a grand party for the for his daughter's recovery?"

"Uh.... Yes?"

"Can I come with you?"

Luke was silent. He then asked Erdene while frowning.

"Why?"

"I heard from the kids that the empire was the one who makes the withered souls. I personally want to meet the asshole who dare pour their filthy withered souls in my forest."

Luke gulped. He could see a completely visible murderous aura surrounding Erdene. He is mad..

"Okay.... But how can you hide yourself? Outsiders can't come with us."

"Hmm, that'll be a problem."

Erdene was silent for a moment before snapping his fingers.

"How about me being your personal knight?"

"I have Liam as my personal knight already."

"Hey, who said that you can't have two?"

Erdene smirked and Luke just sighed. Erdene saw Luke sighing and frowned.

"Hey, making trees and plants grow isn't my only specialty you know? I am also a swordsman. To be precise, a swordmaster."

Luke looked at Erdene with surprise. A Spirit.... Is a swordmaster? Is that even allowed? It sounds so stupidly overpowered.

"Why are you surprised? It is only natural for me to become one since I am talented and powerful."

Luke looked at Erdene's proud face and sighed.

"Okay then, as you wish grandpa."

"Hmm?"

Erdene looked at Luke with surprise. Nash smiled brightly while looking at Luke and Erdene. Erdene then spoke in amusement.

"Did you just said grandpa?"

"Uh, you don't like it? Then, Sir Erdene."

"No, call me grandpa."

"Huh?"

Luke looked at Erdene's happy face. He looks happy at the fact that he was called grandpa. Is he not mad that he is basically called old?

"....Then, grandpa."

"Good. Then, when will we go to Thea?"

"Hmmm, six days later, we have to stop by to my brother's house before we could go."

"You have a brother?"

"No.... Not biologically."

"Oh."

Erdene just lightly gasped but then shrugged his shoulders and left. Luke liked that attitude. The type of attitude that doesn't gave a damn about your backstories.

Luke and Lance stared at each other while holding a bunch of big bags outside the Viscellete estate. Lance is now coming undercover so he transformed his hair and eyes to brown. He also didn't bring anyone with him. They then looked at the bunch of bags the each of them were holding. Lance then spoke in an almost sigh-like manner.

".....That brand.... Isn't that the brand from a famous clothing store?"

"Yeah. What about you? Those fruits in your bags are not from here. Did you buy some in the Flor kingdom? And, aren't those too much?"

Luke stared at the bag full of all kinds of fruits in Lance's bag. Lance just spoke in a sigh-like tone.

"I don't know what pregnant women usually prefers. The butler said that pregnant women likes to eat almost everything so I decided to buy every kinds of fruit I could buy. And by the way.... Are those boy clothes?"

Lance stared at the bag Luke was holding. Lance could see a baby sized suit and tie and other kinds of clothes for a baby boy. Luke just sighed.

"I know that the baby isn't born yet and we still didn't know the gender of the baby but my gut feeling tells me it's a boy. And these clothes are hella expensive. I can't afford to buy for another gender."

Of course that was a lie. Luke still has a ton of money in his pocket. He just chose to stick to his gut feeling to save money.

"Ho? So you're just gonna bet that it is a boy?"

Luke nodded.

"I kinda trust my instincts because they are always sort of right."

"Sort of?"

Luke didn't answer. Lance just sighed and looked at the two men standing behind Luke.

"Nice to see you again Liam. And.... Who is he?"

Lance looked at the tall and handsome man in knight armor. He has beautiful tied green hair and green eyes, he also had a sword on his hip making him look like a strong and extremely loyal knight.

"Ah, this is....Dene."

"Dene?"

Luke peeked towards Erdene and saw his lips twitching. Luke just ignored him and patted Erdene on the shoulder.

"Yes, he is my.... Other personal knight."

"You have two?"

"Yes, is anything wrong with that?"

Lance just frowned.

"I don't even have one while you have two? That is unfair."

"....Why don't you just get yourself one?"

Lance glared at Luke. Luke just sighed.

'I forgot, he's a neglected crown prince that is expected to die soon from exhaustion.'

One of the reasons why the queen and the princes were okay with Lance handling the kingdom on behalf of the king was because they expected him to give up or die from exhaustion. Heck, they are even expecting him to commit suicide from stress. But unfortunately for them, Lance is a pretty good ruler and good at handling stacks and stacks of paperwork. And that is also why there is no one willing to be his personal knight.

".....Who knows? You might get one soon."

"Tch, forget it. I don't want one anyway. It's troublesome."

Luke just shrugged his shoulders and looked at the gate in front of them. Lance and Luke then approached the guard who is looking at them since the beginning. Luke then spoke to him.

"Let us in."

"Y-yes!"

The guard then opened the gates and Lance and Luke entered, Liam and Erdene were naturally behind them. They then stopped when they heard horse steps behind them.

Click, click, click

Luke and Lance turned their heads and saw a fancy carriage approaching them. The carriage then stopped to their side. Luke and Lance gulped. They have a feeling that they know who is inside the carriage. They then saw the windows of the carriage lowering and a cold face appeared.

"Ho.... Who knew that my brothers were going to visit? One rarely goes home and is nowhere to found and the other one is too busy and rarely takes a step out of his office. Fancy seeing you two together."

Lance and Luke avoided Noah's sharp stares. They then put up the bags that were holding and show it to Noah.

"I bought fruits. I heard that pregnant women likes fruits."

"I bought clothes. Boy clothes. I got a gut feeling it is a boy so I bought the most expensive ones."

Noah stared at the bags of fruits and clothes in Lance and Luke's hands. Noah just sighed. He then saw Liam and a unfamiliar face behind them. He just stared at them for a moment before opening his carriage door.

"Get in."
