Ch 5

Once again, I woke up by Lucoa kiss but this time I didn't go back to sleep or rough house with Lucoa but headed to the bathroom to get ready for school as I don't want to rush like the other day.

Once I reached the bathroom I got ready to take a shower by laying out my clothes and a towel, but before I take a shower I took my toothbrush and toothpaste to brush my teeth before I started the shower.

Lucoa who was following me also did the same and joined me in my morning routine.

Seeing her join I didn't give much thought because from the manga I knew that Lucoa would have done this.

After entering the shower Lucoa joined in and she helps me by washing my body and in return, I did the same for her by washing her body.

It didn't take long for us to finish showing as we didn't get into anything extreme in the shower other than a touch here and there for fun.

Now that I think about it I'm usually not this bold this early in a relationship, I might like teasing and being on the dominant side of things but we just meet yet I'm being this bold so early in our relationship, how odd.

But thinking about it magic makes people hold a type of madness especially mages maybe my madness is awaking which is odd as the old Shouta madness was never awakened but that's most likely because the old Shouta madness trigger was never active, I wonder what was his madness and how different will it be to mine.

While thinking I looked at Lucoa and saw her status to see if anything change there over the past day.

Seeing her status I saw that the percentage change because when I first change Lucoa statues to Lover it was at 10% along with all the other relationships except familiar as it's stuck at 59% ever since I changed it to Lover.

Thinking it was odd it raised too quickly the system gave me new information directly into my head.

The new information I got told me that the percentage will rise automatically as long as I'm near the person who I changed the status while for those who I don't change the status of or the relationship that isn't selected the percentage won't rise automatically as the system isn't taking effect in those situations.

After receiving that new information another piece of information came to my head stating that changing the status of someone doesn't only affect them but also affects myself meaning because I changed Lucoa to my lover not only does that mean she sees me as a love interest but I as well she har as a love interest to reflect the status I assigned by using the system.

Once I got my doubts answers I turned off the system as I got what I needed.

After the shower was done and we got dressed Lucoa and I went to eat breakfast where my dad and mom were waiting for us to eat.

Once breakfast was finished my dad went to work as Lucoa and I went to school while my mom saw us off.

It didn't take long to reach the school and like the other day, people are staring at us unusually.

Not caring about the stares as I got used to them the other day Lucoa and I went to my classroom.

Once I got into my classroom I saw everyone doing their own thing while they look at Lucoa and me from time to time.

As I saw what's going on I sighed helplessly because of how everyone in this school acts.

While I was sighing I heard a loud thump and when I turned my head to see what happened I saw Natsuki Nanahoshi fainted on the ground again.

Seeing him on the ground the boys near him picked him up while some girl went to him and put a bow on his head before the boys took him away from the classroom.

Lucoa seeing what happened tuned to me and had a questioning expression on her face waiting for me to answer.

Seeing her like this I sighed and answered her.

"That boy was Natsuki Nanahoshi and from what I know he suffers from some unknown problem that makes him want to wear or have cute things and if he can't wear or have a cute thing on him fast enough he will faint for some unknown reason. It also seems that during the entrance ceremony in our first year he fainted before his body started moved on its own and dressed in cute clothing before waking up. Thanks to that day everyone in school knows him and if anyone sees him faint they will look for anything cute nearby and dress him in it or put it near him before taking him to the nursed office." Shouta

Hearing my explanation Lucoa nodded her head in understanding before she started to play with my phone as we waited for the teacher to come.

Wait, how and when did she get my phone?

Seeing my phone in her hands I moved my hands to pat down my pockets to make sure I've not mistaken the phone in her hands is mine but unfortunately, it seems she does have my phone.

I want to question her how she has my phone but before I could ask her I felt it, some unknown magic sources near me and for the exact location I don't know but knowing that possible mages are at my school made me feel uncomfortable because mages don't go anywhere that has a lot of normal people in groups unless they have a reason to gather there and most of the time it isn't a good one.

After noticing the magic sources I remember what my dad told me last night and that mages looking for something in our area.

What could they want in my school then to appear here? This is an ordinary school with no ties to the supernatural world whatsoever so they're probably not here for anything the school owns or teachers. They also probably not here find me as I'm not even a proper mage yet and haven't made any enemies for them to appear here for me and they're probably not here for the students in general because if they want a large group of underage kids they could buy them off the black market so there's no need to kidnap school children. If they are not here for anything obvious that means they probably just checking up the location hopefully.

As I was thinking about useless conjectures in my confused state Lucoa hold me tightly and patted my head to calm me down.

Feeling her warm embrace I calmed down and stopped thinking because I am not involved with anything they do I should be safe and if anything does go wrong I have Lucoa an ex dragon goddess to protect me.

Well, she probably just pick me up and leave if anything does happen.

As I was being embraced by Lucoa I saw Nanahoshi running down the halls in a cite magical boy cosplay while two men dressed in black military clothing are chasing after him as all the students around them fall to the ground.

Seeing what's going on I sense magic coming off Nanahoshi now and the two men as they ran past my classroom.

The students on the ground all got up after they passed them and started to talk to one and another, I didn't notice any magic being cast on them to act this way how strange maybe I wasn't paying attention when it was cast.

After the mages left my view I know that the mage group target was Nanahoshi all along and as for why I don't know maybe they are trying to recruit him or kill him for something.

In the supernatural world, this kind of stuff happens all the time and it's best to not get involved in it if it's not related to you.

It might sound heartless but that's how the supernatural world works and despite me just joining this world I already have memories of being conditioned and warned to follow this world way of life from an early age and showed examples of what happens if you don't follow the norms of the supernatural world.

Also, I'm not involving myself because they're not going to kill him. After all, if they want to it wouldn't be a problem for two adult mages to kill or take down a newly awaken magic-user unless they are psychopaths but it's unlikely as if they were they'll kill the students they pass by to scare Nanahoshi some more then just chasing him like that.

So after thinking about it for a bit that group must be here to invite Nanahoshi to join them or kidnap him for something or someone else but as they are not harming him, for now, he should be fine if I leave him alone.

As I was thinking about why my classmate was being targeted I notice one of the two men in black come back and pass my classroom but this time he had a shield with him while the other follows closely behind but this time they didn't bother casting the same spell on the students like last time as they run to who knows where they probably just lost Nanahoshi somehow and are now looking for him once more.

Seeing the shield I thought it was a magic weapon at first but looking closely it's not releasing the usual magical signature so that means it can be an artifact, curse weapon, or a Sacred Gear.

Wait, Sacred Gear don't tell me I'm in a mixed world with Highschool DxD.

Then one of those magical signatures I sense earlier was coming from Nanahoshi and his magical boy cosplay should be thanks to a newly awaken Sacred Gear.

I wonder if Serafall will come to steal this boy away if she finds out about him maybe I should catch Nanahoshi myself and sell him off to Serafall for a favor.

While I was having some dark thoughts about selling my classmate to a demon king I felt a sudden spike in magic follow along with a loud explosion.

Hearing that explosion all the students started to panic and leave the classroom to go outside.

Seeing everyone run like headless chickens I sighed at their dumb behavior as they might hurt one another acting like that but I followed suit and headed outside but not in a hurry as I don't want to be trampled on by my classmates.

As Lucoa and I left the classroom I noticed the music club room door open and saw Nanahoshi with a marching hat on with his new outfit and a big hole on the side of the wall.

It seems that the explosion was caused by him somehow and as I don't see the two men I guess they were his target with that loud explosion.

Looking at Nanahoshi more closely I could see why he's the class mascot as he's cute and has this little bunny vibe around him especially now with those bunny ears coming out of his head, it kind of makes me want to keep him for my own then sell him off to Serafall.

As I was thinking to myself Nanahoshi seems to notice me staring at him and started to panic like he's surprised I can see him and he seems to want to cry because of that while orz on the floor.

Looking at him like this I wonder what happened to him and walked near him to make sure everything was okay.
