Chapter 72: Unreasonable Demand

"David will be fine right? He just need to take a rest for 3 days?" Chairman asks.

I am currently in his office alone. The other 4 are knockdown minutes only after I finish reviving the people.

Also the Lich is currently under some questioning in different room from people who work here. They know that the Lich is already my slave that's why they are letting it live(for the time being) because they wanna suck valuable informations about dungeons from it.

I am not worried that the Lich will do anything here that will upset me, because it knows my very morals in life and it cannot act against it.

"David will be fine after 3 days. I guaranteed it. His body is just very tired and need to take a rest for that long because I use Limit Breaker spell on him to fight the Death Knight. Its a spell that increases his overall power for 4 hours, Their bodies couldn't handle the effects of the spell yet that's why it has side effects. They'll get use to it the more they experience it though."

I explained as I sip the instant coffee that has been offered to me.

The look of the Chairman expresses relief after knowing that his first born is not in a imminent danger.

"I guess I'll leave him to you. Please take care of him." He ask me in a serious tone.

"I will, please don't worry." I replied seriously as well.

"Let's talk about work now. I won't ask you for detailed reports since all of you have footage of the fight and has been submitted already. What I want to ask you is what do you want to do to the Lich after the questioning?"

"Hmm.. I want it to be under your care for half a year as your main fighting force while I'm away. I have decided to finish my nursing degree right now. I am a graduating student with only 1 semester left to continue. It would be very bad to leave it behind when it's already so close."

"What? You cannot leave everything behind. What about those nations that needed you? Although I trust you that the Lich will never betray me because of your magic, but there is a lot of difference between having you and not having you around. You are the face of the Hunter Association right now and if you are not here, will people even trust this place?"

"Hmm.. Majority of my jobs are things that the Lich could handle since we have the same abilities, so if I leave, the Lich can still do all the works that I left behind. About the other nations, I plan to meet them starting tomorrow and talk to every one of them. I'll just hand over a teleportation magic circle written in a piece of paper that they will bring to the areas that they want me to restore. I'll just go there and restore places if I have some time available."

"You probably would be able to pull it through since you can travel anywhere in an instant. But the hunter association is still developing right now. I needed all you ideas about the system improvements and the likes, just like the power level sub system that you propose earlier. The Lich will probably not give any help here in that area. It's still a monster that has been force to slavery after all. Even if it did gave one, I won't trust it either."

"But it is very important to me that I finish my education and have a college degree. I am also a candidate for the valedictorian. Although, I don't mind if I don't become a valedictorian but I still want to finish what I've started."

"You are a candidate for the valedictorian? You are that smart? I know that you are smart but not academically. I thought that you are a logically smart person. I never have any of my child run for the candidacy of valedictorian."

Yeah, it's Charlie's fault. It's all because I want to forget about your son, so badly before, that I focus all my time studying. I didn't interact with anybody if not necessary and didn't do anything much aside from reading and practicing nursing procedures to a point that my parents got mad at me one time for wasting so much money for all the materials that I needed for practicing. They just forgive me when they ask the dean about me and my performance in the school.

"Well I have no particular hobby. I just like to study and do nursing jobs that's all. I'm not the typical teenager that you can see around."

"That's good, David is really in a good hands. I'll make a call, just wait for me here."

I nodded and the Chairman goes outside his office to make a call.

I don't know who he would be calling but hopefully he can address my issue when he returns.

While waiting I take a look at the social media and my face is all over the internet.

People begun calling me as God after reviving the dead, some are even questioning me on why I didn't revive the others who died in different cities and some people are even speculating that I might have the plan on using the Lich powers to overthrow the government and rule over it.

I don't know what's going on in their minds. Do they really think that every actions has meaning behind it?

There are even people comparing me to a support class person who can easily revive people. It seems like she is hailed as a saint that came from Brazil.

I know that reviving people is not easy using spells but if what these people says is true then this one is probably one of the high ranking supports in the world if not the highest ranking one.

I could also see some foreigners commenting to the Filipino content creator that I should hear the delegation that they send here to talk to me about restoring their cities. It seems like people on other nations are greatly suffering from the lose of properties.

I didn't meet any of them since Chairman is handling them for me as per my request. But I will hear them tomorrow. I just couldn't leave them behind when they can only expect me to do that job for them.

The support in Brazil will probably have mountain of request as well just like me here.

I probably need to create a video addressing the issue regarding not reviving the other people in other area and the Lich power that is in my hands, to prevent them from accusing me of something. But I will do it with a little intimidation so they wouldn't dare to do that thing again.

Suddenly the door burst open revealing the Chairman who immediately proceed to his chair.

"I talk to the president directly and I received a good news." He said.

"Wow, what is it?"

"He said that he can make it so that you can get your license even if you don't go to class anymore. He concluded that even if you go to class you will still be able to graduate and pass the licensure so it's better to just speed thing up so you can help your country who needed you right now. Your work is far away from nursing now so there's no need for you to learn more about it. But according to him, you will receive your license at the same time as the others to avoid suspicion. He told me that you are not allowed to disclose this if you don't want it to become a big public issue." He said.

Hmm... I think I'll grab this one. I really have a lot of things that only I can do so it's much better that I use this time to work instead for the good of everyone.

It's also true that I'll be working on a different industry anyway so there's really no need for me to continue my course if I have the option to skip it. My aim only is to have a degree right now after all.

"I'll take it."

"That's good. Your powers is very valuable right now after all. Especially since destruction is everywhere and you are the only one who can restore huge cities in one go."

I nodded.

I know how important it is for not only our country but for the world to make me viable any moment. Which is impossible if I have all my time full already in finishing my degree.

"Ughmmm.... One more thing that I know you wouldn't like. I already warned him about it but I still feel that you should know out it."

"What is it?"

The president better not request me something unreasonable.

"He want you to surrender the Lich to them."

"WHATTTT!!!!?"

My eyes where about to pop-out after hearing the Chairman.

"I already told him that the Lich should be under you care, but told me that you are paid 2 million to subjugate it, but since you failed, you better pay for it. And what he wants is the Lich."

"He only promise to pay me 500k and I still haven't received it yet. The 4 Special grade are knockdown rightnow. Please tell him that if he wants to keep his life, position, and even family, he better not provoke me. I dare him to find someone rightnow that can stop me if I rampage. Tell him as well that I don't need his 500k anymore. I even revive his people for free but he still have the guts to ask me that."

That president clearly wants more power in his hands while I want the Lich to my side for convenience.

"You will really do that?"

"Huh? Of course not. I just want you to threaten him that's all."

The Chairman sign in relief after hearing me.

"I really thought you gone rouge. Ok leave it to me."
