Chapter 73: Future Business

"By the way, the funds we have rightnow is not sufficient to sustain the weaponry department as well as the research one. The higher ups think that the only profitable thing that we could get from dungeons are dungeon cores and monster cores that could generate energy. But you use all of them so there's nothing left for us."

I feel a little bad for the Hunter Association but I didn't feel the same way to the President.

"That's not good, isn't it? I will create a legendary item and let's auction it. The money that we will get from it will be use to privatize those two. I can already imagine myself drowning in money."

"That's a good idea but I are you sure that the monster corpse are really that profitable? No one seems to like it though aside from the researchers." The Chairman asks.

Indications of profit is already present, why are these people so blind?

"Mr. Chairman, the hunters are starting to buy monster made weapons. It's only a matter of time before the industry will expand. I have to grab the opportunity rightnow. Although the plan was for me to produce items here in the Hunter Association, now that they can't afford giving us funds. I don't mind doing it alone."

"Then if you say so. I would like to invest in your business really but I cant. David guild needs my money for funding as well. I haven't even paid you for the items you created for my sons. From what I heard from David, 2 of his items are Legendary Grade. I am very great full for giving him that. I also confirmed from my wife earlier that David didn't suffer from any wounds or have any bruise at him. It seems like he is well protected by the armor you have given him."

The Chairman said with sincerity in his eyes.

"Well you can pay it later after David's guild booms. I think his guild is a good investment as well." I said.

"You think so? Is mana stones really that valuable to the point where they could gain a lot of profit?" The Chairman asks.

"Mana stones although valuable, are not nearly as important as monster corpse. I will be buying all dungeon related stuff after I get money from restoring cities. I will then use it to create potions and magic items to sell."

"Ok then. I will contact someone to auction your legendary item. When will you be able to prepare it by the way?"

"Wait, I will prepare it in a minute. I still have mana stones with me to use and the monster corpse as well."

I close my eyes and my subconsciousness entered my pocket world.

I them create a legendary sword that looks cool and create another version of necklace of protection, a legendary grade as well that contains mana and could replenish its mana on its own. And the last one is space ring. The one that is similar to the Lich but could contain anything and has the size limit of 15 x 15 meters. It also ignore weight of the items.

I return myself to the world and pull out the sword and place it in the table.

"That was fast." The Chairman said.

"I used magic after all." I replied.

"By the way this is a Legendary Sword Gram. The starting price of it in the bidding should be 10 million dollars. It is a sword that can amplify attack power up to 60% to the fullest . It also has the ability to share its powers to the holder and it is impossible to break by any weapon that is under the highest quality Mythical Grade. It's very durable and sharp."

The Chairman take a closer look at it.

"I didn't feel anything from it. Are awakened people the only one that could tell if this is a powerful weapon or not?" The Chairman asks and I nodded.

"People who wants to participate the auction needs to bring an awakened with them. Even from far away, they would immediately feel it's power so I can guarantee that rich awakened people and hunters will chase after this."

I confidently say and the Chairman just nodded at me.

I then pull out the necklace of protection and space ring from my pocket world.

"This one is for you Chairman. This one is similar to my necklace of protection. It's a legendary grade magic item that will automatically create a barrier to protect you if someone attack you. So you better wear it all the time."

"Wow, but I cannot accept such an expensive magic item. You should keep it or sell it to someone else." He push over the necklace to me.

"It's rude to refuse my gift Chairman. Besides, you can consider it as investment in my part. If someone assassinate you and you die, where would I find someone that I could trust with? So take it or I'll force you using magic."

"Fine fine I'll take it. Thank you for this. My family really owes you a lot. But I don't have mana with me, is this still functional without mana?"

"Nahh don't mind it. I made it so that it can power up it's own. Anyway this ring is called space ring. Please wear it as well. You can put anything inside there aside from living things. The things that you put inside will experience time suspension. Meaning nothing rots in there. If you want to release something just think of it and its also the same if you want to put something inside. Please use the ring and put the legendary sword gram inside."

I ask the Chairman and he wear the ring and place his hand in the swords and suddenly the sword vanish.

"Wow, it's magic." The Chairman happily said.

"Uhu! Now try releasing it again."

The Chairman look at the table and just place his hand there and suddenly the magic sword return to the table.

"This is amazing." He said and he return the sword back to the space ring.

"Chairman, I need the money in 3 days. Could you also look for buildings that I can use for my new business? The people who work here, I also want to hire them."

"You can leave that job to your secretary. And as for the workers here, I am grateful that you will hire them."

"Yup yup, I'll just think of their starting salary after I receive the list of applicants."

"Yes, by the way there are already cases of awakened beings, doing crimes using their powers behind everyone's back. I have the list of cases send in your office already. Also, applicants who wants to become an awakened agent has their resume submitted at your office. Majority of them are people in uniform that has been awakened. "

"Well that's good. My secretary will probably has a lot of work rightnow. I guess I'll hire some professional to help Clark. I'm willing to pay that person personally, will it be possible for you to look for someone who's good at these sort of things? I don't think that Clark is a good person to handle the hiring though."

"I know someone who could do the job, I'll contact him and how much is your afford salary? Will it be a temporary or permanent job?"

"I wanted Clark to do more of the contacting, while I want someone rightnow who could be my stand in Vice. Who would do the job inside the Association while I'm being deployed. And for his salary, I think 100k will be the starting one. I will increase with 50k if I like that persons performance. Please also include that, his salary does not include benefits since it is paid privately."

"If you are looking for someone like that, I think the association can help. Just pay him 100k then leave the benefits to us."

"I'll take it Mr. Chairman. Please contact him today and have him help here tomorrow." I said and he nodded.

"By the way, are you gonna meet up with the deligations tomorrow? Where are you gonna meet up them up?" He ask.

"I'll meet them here, can I borrow one of the empty room? I don't think that it's a good idea to meet them at my office."

"The people you will be meeting tomorrow will probably come here not alone. It's better to treat them well. You can use the meeting tomorrow, we can adjust and change the venue for our tomorrows meeting since the people I'll be talking with are not people that I need to make an impression with."

"Thank you Chairman. I'll make sure that our country will benefit in my negotiations as well, not just myself."

"You don't need to do that. Before they come here, they already talk and made deals with our country. That's why the President put a pressure on me to make sure that you will meet and help them. Of course I just said ok but I really don't mind what you do tomorrow. That president is really using you to the fullest without even telling you. I'll deal with him one day when my influence expands more. Let's just wait a little."

The president is really no good. The smell of corruption is really unbearable. He didn't even hesitate to use me behind my back. I wonder what he'll do to me if I didn't associate my self to the Chairman.
