Helping the kids

Liam was wearing a duffle beige coat that suited him so well with his body shape, a pair of dark jeans, white sneakers, a black hat, and a black scarf.

She looked in shape, yet Luna didn't think of that as she was focusing all her thoughts on being in a crowded place surrounded by a lot of kids. She really couldn't remember the last time she sat and played with a kid.

Even in her previous life, she was not that attached to kids.

As she entered that humbled institution, she met a few people who run the place, they all welcomed her with smiles and thanks for sharing her precious time in this place .

She felt like a fraud because her intentions were not that pure when she first came in here, the guilt was shown clearly in her eyes, yet being there surrounded by all those people made her feel overwhelmed with the situation.

She smiled till the point where her face muscles hurt, she kept smiling even then because she wanted to leave a good impression, she didn't want to appear like a spoiled girl in front of them.

Sister Maria guided her to the kitchen where she and Liam and another girl named Catherine were the only ones there .

Sister Maria mentioned as they were heading to the kitchen that they were the only people who got the job done because only a few people volunteer to work there.

" Well, thanks to his help, we got a lot of help, he brought all of his friends here, and yeah they helped us a lot"

' His friends? this bastard doesn't have friends, he never had, and I don't really know why he is acting this way, he is not the type to treat people good '

Luna just nodded to avoid conflict then said:" You are not numerous, and taking care of a lot of kids is tiresome, I get it "

Liam smirked when he heard what she said which made her think that she might have made a mistake, she ignored him and kept walking till they reached the kitchen.

Catherine was already there, she welcomed both of them kindly and then started to show Luna where all the things were.

' She doesn't have to do this because I am not showing up here again'

Liam headed towards the kitchen's tools and started preparing hot chocolate for the kids calmly, Catherine was acting so usual with him as she touched his back when she said:" I am going to wake them up "

Sister Catherine was in her thirties, a tall girl, thin, she was not that pretty but something about her was adorable, her features were very normal, dark eyes, tan skin and she was also wearing sister's rope.

Sister Maria went to help Catherine too, leaving Liam and Luna alone in the kitchen .

He was so focused on what he was doing that she felt clueless about how to offer her expected help

" You should have removed your coat because it is so wet"

That was not expected, yet when he mentioned that Luna realized that he already removed his coat, she removed it and put it on a wooden chair, then returned to stand in front of him while her face showed that she was bored

" In that closet there are cups, bring all of them, make yourself useful"

Luna felt triggered because he was clearly provoking her yet she kept her calm, she didn't want to appear bad in front of the sisters and the kids too

' I really want to kill him, this thing won't be the same for sure, I will do something different this time, I will kill him first, I mean before even waiting for him to kill the entire clan, I always waited for him to do his moved to react, but this time I guess I am going to do it like this if I had to '

It didn't take him so much until he finished preparing a huge amount of hot chocolate, Luna never knew that he could cook or do kitchen things, this was the first time she saw him this way

if she didn't already know him she said that he was the kindest person in the entire universe

' I can't even say hi to someone I don't like and here he is making an entire show in front of these poor kids '

Luna tried not to care about him bossing around and she did all that he asked for, she kept saying that this was for the kids to ease her rage

The kitchen was not modern, it was very old, with one small window to the outside, the tools were not new either, they all looked somehow damaged, it felt like a normal person couldn't even breathe here, and inside of it there situated a long table with a lot of wooden chair for kids to sit there, the entire institution looked like very old and messy.

Half an hour later all the kids showed up in front of them in the kitchen.

Luna felt like she was suffocating as she saw them very happy with what Liam made for them.

' They are happy ! I can't believe it '

They all wore clothes that didn't look fancy, instead, their clothes looked like they have been used for many years, both girls and boys looked very clean but they all looked cheap like this place.

Isa was born inside of a clan that was very powerful, however, she was not that rich but she grew up comfortable, and her last years as Luna was as a rich kid, so seeing this kind of situation made her feel uneasy .

The kids walked toward their usual seats under her looks, suddenly she felt pain in her stomach, she wanted to puke yet she held her breaths so that she wouldn't do that in front of them.

She walked away without making anyone suspect what she was experiencing, she didn't know where the bathroom was, and she felt like she would puke on the floor when she heard a voice.
