Randa convinces him to equip the expedition immediately, since in three days a Soviet satellite should pass over the island, and the enemy in the Cold War will know about it. Randa, as well as his assistants Houston Brooks and Lin San, join the Landsat search group, and the senator orders them to provide combat support. The expedition should not last long, and this task is assigned to Colonel Preston Packard, who was going to return home from Vietnam with his fighters. Randa hires an experienced tracker James Conrad from the British special forces for a lot of money, and war photographer Mason Weaver will record the events on film.

Randa reveals to the surviving members of the expedition that his real goal is to discover ancient monsters for the secret government organization "Monarch".After that, their team is separated, Randa and the colonel and his fighters go on a search.Meanwhile, another part of the detachment is discovered by a tribe of aborigines, among whom lives Lieutenant Hank Marlowe, who was shot down by a Japanese plane in 1944.Marlowe lived in an Aboriginal tribe with his Japanese friend with whom they built a ship together, Marlowe explains to the forwarding group:

After that, the group tells Marlowe that they can leave this place and return home, Marlowe tells them that they will not survive walking and offers them to repair the ship.After repairing the ship, they leave the Iwi tribe and go to the north of the island.Packard and his soldiers reunite with the rest of the survivors, but Packard insists that before continuing down the river, the squad must find Chapman. They enter the territory of the Skulosaurs, where Randa and several soldiers die.The skullosaurus left behind a gnawed head with an army badge—as it turned out, Chapman. Upon learning of the major's death, Packard refuses to return to the boat until he kills Kong, taking revenge on him for the death of his soldiers when landing on the island. Packard, along with Woodward and the rest of the soldiers, find ammunition, while the rest go to the boat. There Conrad, Weaver and Marlowe leave the scientists, and they return to Packard and the others to save Kong. The soldiers lure Kong, knock him out and want to destroy him with napalm, but the departed trio runs up and tries to convince the soldiers that it is not necessary to kill him. Kong suddenly wakes up and kills Packard.Meanwhile, the largest skullosaurus appears from a crevice in the ground, which fights Kong and temporarily stuns him, and then pursues the survivors.Kong appears and, after a prolonged fight with the "Big One", kills him by tearing out his tongue, although he gets the victory at a high price: Kong gets many wounds.

And then suddenly a roar is heard, this roar was very familiar to Kong because he had already heard it.

At this moment, Marlowe on the boat begins to look around.
