Chapter 26: A Trip To Prague

Jade's POV: Charles and I woke up and got ready for the flight. I just put my hair in a messy bun with a tied crop top and a pair of sweat pants. Charles also wore some sweat pants, and a sweatshirt. We grabbed our bags and drove to the airport. Once we got there we boarded onto a plane, Charles wasn't kidding when he said we were flying first class! We got champagne and actual food, not cheap airline food. I was impressed. Charles and I sat right next to each other, not a single seat in between us. I layed on him most of the ride and we just sat for awhile until he said, "Jade, what are we going to do about actually finding the comb once we arrive in Europe?" I replied, "Well, we aren't going to just anywhere in Europe. We're going to Prague!" He raises his eyebrows and said, "Prague?" I nodded my head and answered, "That's where Talia went to college. Some privileged private school that she attended that just so happens to be the location of

Prof. McGregor, her old professor!" "Oh. But isn't it winter break for all the schools?" I giggled and said, "Well actually school is in for the next two days! This private school only gets the actual holiday for a break, it's not just a week or two off for something. They do still get weekends though, two days." Charles nodded his head. He didn't respond to me but instead said, "I can't believe it's Christmas in three days!" I laughed and said, "I believe that. Weren't you like around during the dinosaurs or something!" Charles laughed and shook his head. He replied, "You make me sound so old! I was only born in 2986 BC." I furrowed my eyebrows and replied, "Wow. I never realized it was that long ago!" Charles joked, "Yeah. I am pretty old." I laughed and said, "Charles...When's your birthday?" He tilted his head said, "I was born on February 23, 2986 BC." I smiled and said, "So that makes you like a billion years old in two months correct?" Charles rolled his eyes playfully and replied, "Of course Jade, even though your math skills are horrible, that is definantly correct." I laughed. Before I knew it we had arrived in Prague...

Charles' POV: Jade and I got off of the plane and I just have to say, Prague is absolutely stunning! There's such a 'winter wonderland' theme to it. The snow and the houses, it's just gorgeous. Anyway, me and Jade found a hotel to stay in for the night. It's only 2 in the afternoon here so according to Jade their school is still in. We didn't have any time to waste so we put our luggage in our hotel room and got a driver to take us to the school. We arrived there and the place was very large! Jade and I walked in and asked the principle, or dean, or whatever they call it here, if we could talk to

Prof. McGregor and he said we could once his classes were out. I'm very impatient however so I just compelled him to forget we were there so me and Jade could go interrupt this mans class. Shortly after rummaging through the hallways we found his classroom and went inside. There was an entire classroom full of students who didn't even notice that we came in. Jade walked over to his desk and sat in his chair since the professor was standing. Jade said, "Hello Shane. I'm Jade Bradford. My sister Talia may have mentioned me." I take it Shane is the professors name. He replied, "Hello Jade, and yes Talia said so much of you. But now isn't a good time, I'm in the middle of teaching a class. You and your friend can come back later if you want!" I smile knowing what Jade was going to say, she answered, "Well, for the record, non of these students are paying attention. Also, as far as my 'friend' goes, his name is Charles. Charles Suliman, you may have heard of him?"

Jade's POV: Shane's eyes widened at the sound of Charles' name. He replied, "Uhm. Yes. I've heard of him. I guess we can talk now..." Shane's voice quivered as he spoke. I smiled sarcastically and said, "Alright. Now I have a question for you, about my families history of witches!" "Go on." Shane said. I continued, "So I've recently heard of an ancient glass hair comb that belonged to every witch that ever practiced magic in my family. I'm just curious to know where exactly it is?" Shane raised his eyebrows and said, "I actually happen to know exactly what you're talking about! The item you're looking for is very special to all witches around the world. Every witch wants to find this comb to possess its great amount of magic that's held inside of it. However, it's been hidden in a sacred place for a very long time, 90 years to be exact. The last practicing witch of the Eddington bloodline used it in the early 1900's, I believe the comb was used from around 1910-1920. A period of ten years your ancestor worked on getting the hair comb to stay sealed and safe from any magic coming out of it-" I cut him off and said, "Got it! Now where is it?" Shane took a deep breath and said, "Well, the comb itself is here in Prague. Problem is, I'm not sure where. So if you're that desperate to find it then I suggest you start searching!" Charles looked deep into Shane's eyes and said, "Thank you so much professor, now you're going to forget everything we talked about today." I smiled as Charles and I left the school. After we arrived back in the hotel room we gathered a map of the city and grouped up places it would be right now. We also came across a map of what Prague looked like in the early 1900's so that we could map out places on there and see where they'd be on the new map. This will give us a precise location on the hair comb! I could just do a locator spell, but since it's a comb I've never seen before I don't have anything to go off of. Guess we'll have to do this the good old fashion way...
