Husband For Hire

Is it possible to hire a husband? Well yes. Olivia is the adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the owners of Aermia, the top perfume producing company in the country. She has passion for everything else in the world except getting married and falling in love. But after seeing Jason, her long-time wish will finally come true, getting a fake husband. Jason and Olivia meet for the first time at a bar she visits often. Olivia overhears Jason’s conversation with a friend about his desperate need for a job. She introduces herself to him with a contract marriage proposal which he eventually accepts after thinking it through. "Hi, I'm Olivia." Olivia introduced herself as she waved her hand under his face. "What do you want from me?" Jason asked with a blank expression, still staring at his phone. "You need a job, don't you?" Olivia answered back with a question. "Were you listening to my conversation?" Jason finally looked at her as he arched his brow. "I didn't mean to but , yes." Olivia was trying her best to be polite and not ruin her plans. "Yes, I need a job. So, what is it you want?" Jason asked, sounding calm and irritated at the same time. "I have a nice offer you won't be able to resist," Olivia said looking more serious than ever. "And what could that be?" Jason asked, sounding more interested in the topic. "Marry me." There was no hint of un-seriousness in her voice. To find out what happens next, join in this journey of romance and passion. Note: The cover is not mine, all credit goes to the creative owner. DO YOU THINK THEY'RE DATING?

Olivia could not stop laughing at herself secretly for thinking that way, after a short moment of silence, she decided to introduce herself properly.

"I'm Olivia." She introduced.

"Hello, Olivia. Hehehe… don't be offended if I'm staring at you too much, just that Jason over here never really introduces us to people he calls friends." Sophia said jokingly.

"It's fine," Olivia said as she waved one of her hands casually as though she was used to people staring at her a lot, which she was.

"Brother, we got the ––" Jimmy paused as soon as he lifted his head to speak. The rest of the words he had in his head went flying when he took a look at Olivia.

Olivia had to blink a couple of times after seeing Jimmy and Raphael, not because they were twins but because they looked like Jason, teenage versions of Jason.

"Holy shit . . . where the hell did this pretty angel come from?" Jimmy said out loud unknowingly, forgetting that he was supposed to say that in his head.

"JIMMY!!!" Sophia and Raphael spat out his name as they threw their heads towards him, scolding him with their eyes.

"Huh? Did I say that out loud?" Jimmy asked as he blinked continuously back to reality.

Olivia almost busted into laughter after witnessing what just happened in a few moments. Their sudden reaction to Jimmy's previous comment. Jason on the other hand didn't seem to be moved by what Jimmy said, it was not least expected.

"Hehehe . . . Sorry." He apologized, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.

"Excuse us for a moment." Jason butted in as he pulled Olivia by the wrist away from the rest.

"Why are you here?" He asked, letting go of her wrist.

"What do you mean by why am I here? Hello, I'm a citizen of the country and I'm allowed to be at anywhere, anytime." She stated the obvious.

"And also, you are not to question me, remember." She reminded him of the rule.

"You're right." He said shortly as he recalled that being part of the rules.

"Well, I attended an art exhibition not too far from here. I saw you and I thought to stop to say hello."

Meanwhile, where Sophia and the twins were standing at . . . .

"She is Olivia, a friend to Jason." Sophia said in a low voice which Jimmy and Raphael could hear.

"Woah, that's . . . odd." Raphael finally spoke after being quiet for a while.

"Brother sure has good taste, he chose to be friends with the pretty one. Not bad, he made a nice choice for the first time." Jimmy said, nodding his head like an old man who is proud of his grandson. [Hehehe . . . Jason better not hear that from him.]

"Are you saying Emma is not pretty?" Raphael asked as he ached one of his brows at Jimmy.

"Huh? Who said that? I just think Olivia is way prettier than Emma, I'm sure you think so too." Jimmy replied honestly.

"That right, I've not heard from Emma in a while, do you think they are still dating?" Sophia butted in, still looking at Jason and Olivia from a distance.

"Who knows, either way, I like her better." Jimmy commented.

"You don't even know her." Raphael reminded, looking at his twin brother in amazement. He was Jimmy anyway; his words should be of no surprise to him.

"Who cares. By the way, I kind of think they look cute together, don't you think so?" Jimmy asked, studying the couples closely.

The trio were shamelessly gossiping about Jason and Olivia with no care in the world. Who wouldn't, they just looked too good together.

"Well, I kind of agree with him, they do look good together." Sophia commented.

"Do you think they're dating? Cause it seems to me like they are having a couple's kind of talk." Jimmy said as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"Mother, shut him up for goodness sake." Raphael blurted out as he seemed to be thinking of something or more like, noticing something.

"Jimmy, shut up, will you?" Sophia said casually as though it's something she says often.

"Fine, forgive me for being too observant." Jimmy said, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah . . . right, you are so observant that you didn't notice how familiar she looks." Raphael stated the obvious.

"Well, now that I think about it, she does look familiar. Just a little though cause I am not sure who she looks like." Sophia replied, directing her reply to Raphael.

"Oh my God. I think I see it now, she looks like that American singer, Olivia Roderigo." Jimmy said, feeling smart on having noticed it.

"Really, that's the best you've got." Raphael chuckled lightly after hearing his brother's reply.

"Then who? My head is empty of ideas.

"Olivia Smith." Raphael answered.

"Hahaha . . . For a second there, I actually thought you had a smart answer to come up with a better answer." Jimmy said, laughing uncontrollably.

"Shut up you butt head. Can't you see how much she looks like her." Raphael said, trying to make it clear to Jimmy.

"Hey, don't call him that." Sophia scolded.

"Sorry, Mother. He is just being too difficult." Raphael complained after apologizing.

"First of all, not a butt head. Secondly, I think you're right, she does look like Olivia Smith but, maybe the badass version of her." Jimmy replied.

"Sort of, but isn't it too much of a coincidence that they bear the same name and also look alike?" If Raphael digs in deeper on the subject, he might end up detecting that she is the same person.

Raphael still had doubts about his suspicions because, imagining the two of them together, they looked totally different from each other.

"Nah, they just look alike, that's all." Jimmy said, trying to convince himself. He was definitely not dumb not to know what Raphael was thinking of.

"Maybe you're right." Raphael agreed.

. . .

"By the way, your aunt is really pretty, your brothers are not bad either." Olivia complimented nicely.

"They are my cousins." Jason corrected.

"I know, but they call you their brother. So, they are in the real sense of it." She said proudly.

"Mmm . . ." He made his usual sound.

"Well, bye. See you at home." She said to him and then made her way to the trio who just had an unfinished conversation.

"Goodbye, Aunt. Bye you two." She greeted all three of them and they greeted back with all smiles, especially Jimmy.

Olivia walked past Jason and went straight towards her bike; she hopped on and started the bike engine.

"S- s-he rides a bike!" Jimmy's jaw dropped as he tried to form his sentence.

Sophia and Raphael had the same expression on their faces, Jason on the other hand, just stared at her and was impressed by her skills. Every thing she did ever since he had known her impressed him including her way of dressing.
