Chapter 13 A few minutes later,Lisa stepped outside the room and locked it behind her. She glanced around and found Barry leaning against a wall while smoking. He glanced up and looked at her curiously,"Are you alright? Did they hurt you?",he asked concerned."No,I'm fine.",Lisa said softly and glanced around to make sure that no one was watching her before she approached Barry,climbed onto his lap and threw her arms around him in a tight hug."Thank God that you're safe",he whispered into her hair."Me too,for now.",she responded."We should go back to yours.",he said after releasing her slightly and stood up."Okay.",she answered."Come on.",he said as he took ahold of her wrist."Wait.",Lisa said as she ran a hand through his hair and kissed him softly."Now that I'm home,everything will finally become okay.",she assured him,staring lovingly into his eyes and smiled."I know.",he whispered back before capturing her lips once more."Barry! Are you ready?"Allen's voice came from the doorway and both Barry and Lisa broke apart. Allen was standing there watching them curiously,while a smug grin spread all across his face. Lisa gave a small chuckle and shook her head. She then turned her attention towards her ex-boyfriend. "Where's Len?"she asked Allen as she moved closer to him."He went out about ten minutes ago. I didn't expect him to take this long,but I guess I understand.",Allen said,looking slightly disappointed. As soon as Barry finished talking with Lisa about their plans,Allen and Barry left the room together."So... what now?",Allen questioned,smirking."We'll call a cab,get our luggage and meet you at our apartment.",Barry said and started making his way toward the exit of the building."Alright,we'll be waiting there.",Allen agreed."Goodbye,Lisa.",Barry whispered tenderly as he pressed his lips against hers for the second time since they had reunited. Lisa smiled happily and nodded,"Bye.",she whispered back. Allen then grabbed Barry's arm and began dragging him outside the warehouse."Are you coming or what?!',Allen yelled irritably and glared at Barry. *End Flashback* When the two boys had finally gotten to Len's apartment,they quickly rushed inside and grabbed their bags,putting everything on top of the dining table. They had been living in Len's apartment for the past couple of weeks,and although neither of them would admit it,they had grown very attached to living there. "It really is strange to think that a week ago,this was our home."Barry sighed as he sat down on a chair. "I know,it feels like yesterday. I remember every little detail.",Allen muttered. Bending over,he put his hands on his knees and rested his forehead on the palm of his hands as he leaned over. After a short moment,his gaze became fixed on the bottle of whiskey which rested in between the cups of two cups. A thought occurred to Barry and he stood up abruptly. He opened a cupboard and retrieved the bottle of alcohol and poured himself two fingers worth."What are you doing? Do you want another one?",Allen shouted irritatedly,"No need to shout!",Barry said defensively as he walked towards the table. Barry was drinking slowly,when he suddenly stopped."Damn it! How is that even possible?!",he said surprised as he drank more of the whiskey. Allen looked at Barry in disbelief. He knew perfectly well that alcohol didn't affect the speedster,but he also knew that Barry always tried to limit his alcohol consumption,because of that he wasn't usually allowed to drink any alcohol. And he was right. Although it was very strong,the whiskey still tasted good to Barry. As soon as the taste hit his tongue,his senses instantly heightened and he grinned widely."This is really good.",Barry said excitedly,"You know,I never knew you liked whiskey so much." Allen rolled his eyes."Yeah,but I guess you didn't need to find out either."Allen snickered,"How could you have guessed that?''Barry shrugged and continued drinking."You know...I didn't actually expect Lisa to run away today. I thought she was done running when they caught her.",Barry confessed looking away guiltily,as he remembered how furious Lisa had been when they'd found out about what had happened at the circus."Hey! Don't worry about that anymore. We'll deal with her when she gets back.''Allen assured him,"Right,we will.",Barry said confidently before walking towards the couch."Are you seriously going to sleep already? Don't you want to talk?"Allen asked."Not really.",Barry said shaking his head,"But maybe tomorrow we will. Until then,I'm going to rest."After saying that,Barry laid down on the couch and quickly fell asleep. *** When Lisa woke up a few hours later and walked into the kitchen,she found Len sitting at the counter with a glass filled with amber liquid in his hands. As soon as he noticed Lisa coming downstairs,he raised his glass,clearly meaning that he wanted to toast to something. Lisa sat down at the seat opposite of him and smiled. She then grabbed a glass of water from the sink and poured herself some aswell
