Chapter 12 The sound of the door opening woke Barry up from his deep slumber,he looked up and saw who it was. "Lisa! Lisa are you alright?",he asked immediately as he stood up and walked over to the bedside table and grabbed his glasses to clean them."Yeah I'm fine.",Lisa answered and stretched her arms,"You should get some more sleep. I don't think anyone's going to come here right away.",she added. As if on cue,a familiar figure stepped outside the door. Lisa narrowed her eyes upon seeing who it was."Hey guys.",Lisa greeted while standing up and walking towards her friends."How's our little Lisa doing? I see that you managed to escape,how's that?",the man asked while staring directly at Lisa. "Yes we did and thank god that you were able to catch me because otherwise it might have meant that I would have died. What happened to Lisa? Who tied her up?"Barry inquired. "Oh,you remember I mentioned that a few years ago,she has powers? Well turns out she has been hiding them,not telling us,because I was planning on killing her for sure once I caught her and that's why we kept quiet about it and let her get away.",The man replied arrogantly while laughing. Before Barry had a chance to respond,the door suddenly slammed open and Lisa stepped inside. She looked like death itself had visited her."Lisa,don't worry about him. I've got him. Come,we can go home now."Lisa frowned when she saw just how bad he looked. The man laughed."I've been waiting for you. Your boyfriend isn't going anywhere anytime soon.",he threatened. Barry clenched his fists angrily and took a menacing step forward but Lisa held him back,holding him in place forcefully."Why don't we calm down first?,we haven't even talked to each other yet.",Lisa said calmly and smiled charmingly at the criminal. She was obviously trying to distract him from attacking Barry. Unfortunately,the man seemed to have a very sharp eye,since he immediately spotted how she was attempting to fool him.''Lisa,be careful.",Barry warned but Lisa simply shook her head slightly,confirming that it was okay and she had the situation under control. She then turned her attention back to the criminal,"I hope we aren't going to keep talking until midnight,because I'm tired and I'm quite cold.",she said innocently while shivering as if she was truly afraid of getting hypothermia,which of course was impossible. It wouldn't be long before the criminal would notice that she was lying."Oh my goodness.",the man exclaimed dramatically,"You poor thing,are you cold?''As soon as the man said those words,Lisa took off her jacket and handed it to the criminal,before placing herself right beside Barry.",That's much better.",the man said while smiling."So,Lisa,why is it that you want to leave your friend's side so badly?",he asked again. *Flashback* After Len had disappearedinto the darkness of his room without telling anyone where he was going or what he was planning,Lisa followed him and went upstairs after locking the door behind her. When she reached the end of the hallway,Lisa saw that Len had stopped in front of a door. Lisa watched as Len twisted the key in the lock and entered into his room. She then proceeded to follow him inside,but not before she quickly checked to make sure that no one else was following them. Once she was satisfied with the fact that the coast was clear,Lisa carefully stepped inside the room and closed the door behind her. "Len?",she called out softly as she took a few steps further into the room. There was no answer. Len was nowhere to be seen. Lisa was starting to feel frightened."Len!",she said even louder and started running towards the bedside table,but she stopped dead in her tracks as she saw an empty wine bottle laying there on the table. Lisa furrowed her brows and stared at the broken bottle.
