36. His life
David tells the chauffeur it's ok to drive away while he lowers one of the seats for Gea to get a nice sleep. He put the travel pillow on Gea neck and asked her to relax. Gea still not let out a word she just signalled David to put his head on her lap as she saw David still look pale.
David put his head on her lap holding his hand tightly soon after both of them fall asleep.
David feels the earthquake, even though it was not big enough, he could feel that it would not be end soon.
He quickly gets up only to find that it was Gea that shivering and not an earthquake.
He holds both of Gea shoulders try to stop her, he hugs and put his forehead on hers to see if she has a fever, her body temperature seems okay.
David confused, what could make her shiver like that.
Gea sank her body, her eyes look terrified, she continued to tremble.
David reaches his phone try to call Dave as he could not figure out what was going on.
"Dave, we almost arrived at my apartment but Gea was shivering and blank, she seems to be in another world, nothing I could do to get her back".
" Did you saw anything unusual surrounding you?" Dave also wondering what gets into Gea that put her in that state.
"No... nothing!" David flustered
"Sir did you notice something unusual, that makes my friend here come to this state?" David trying to see if the driver notice something
"What State? she was okay... I could hear her texting a while ago" The driver seems not to notice Gea's condition
Checking Gea handphone, David can not seem to find what that might bother her.
"It's just some text from you and Dj and the last message come from a reporter seems to be one of her patients... I opened it worried that maybe it, but only to confirm a rumour circulation that she had a connection with me, nothing much" David call back Dave to share his confusion that still can not find the source of Gea trouble
"That's it, can you stop wherever you are right now! I'll inform DJ to fetch her " Dave known right away the source of Gea troubled
"What you mean by that's it?" David still confused
"Right now I need to call Dj to pick her up. You need to make sure no one saw she left your car... she afraid to be known by the media about her relationship either with me or you, that is all I can tell you, for now, I explained more when we met." David still find it was hard to absorb but he believed Dave know her sister more, therefore, he has no choice but to follow Dave instructions.
He asked the driver to look for a quiet and safe place to wait for DJ
It wasn't long for DJ to come and pick her, knowing that the Driver is from the usual agency that Gea always used, known their strict rules for clients privacy, DJ feel relief.
"I'll take her from here" DJ hold tight to Gea and bring her to the backseat of her car, lay her down and put some blanket on her.
"Let me know when you arrive at your place" Dave tell DJ with a pleaded look on his face
"I'll do that... buy the way I saw some reporter nearby your house on my way here" DJ inform David
"You'll have a full explanation later from Dave, but if you want to protect Gea, please make sure her connection to Dave remains unknown" DJ just want to make sure Gea won't trough the same hell again
David just nods his head, coz he still finds it is hard to believe, however, whatever the reasons are, Gea is troubling to be in the spotlight of entertainment news.
He needs to have more information to be able to cope with everything, and whatever it is he won't stand back to have a relationship with this woman that conquers his world
Arrive in front of his apartment, David saw Edward already stand in front of many reporters.
David walked through them and stand beside Edward.
After hearing Edward Explanation David started to talk.
"First of all, I would like to apologize for Miss Lyla for all these baseless rumours that been surrounding. Once again I would like to emphasise Mr Edward statements, My relationship with Miss Lyla is purely professional... however, considering Miss Lyla aunt is one of my mother's best friend I can not deny that we may be seen in several family gatherings as an acquaintance and merely that's it"
David apologise again to Edward for leaving him dealing with the rest as he storms into his apartment building, he also orders Edward to take any necessary actions in preventing this rumours spreading around
"As explained by Mr Stevenson this is a groundless rumour, therefore I asked for all of your cooperation. The company will take serious action if this rumours being spread or raised again."
Edward understands David means by any necessary action but do not understand why he didn't tell them, he has someone in mind that need to be considered to have this rumours stop from spreading.
It's not like he already has a relationship with Gea, or mention Gea name to the hungry sharks-news, it's just killing the rumours and help him not to get associated with other women again.
Whatever it is Edward clenched his fist thinking it's going to be a long week and a stormy one with David
David put himself under the shower to calm down, His teeth and palm are hurts as a result of his way to control himself. He never experienced this and it tortured him, it tortured him to miss her only second after her presence disappeared, it tortured him to have mood swings just by hearing her name mentioned, it tortured him to not know how she would react coz David never could figure out this lady.
He could saw the same feelings in her eyes but her actions are different. This tortured David a lot coz he could tame her heart, but if this woman decides to not have a further relationship with him, it won't be easy coz seducing or threatening her are useless.
It brings pain all over his chest only by thinking that Gea may drove him away. His hand is bleeding from punch the wall hard for sudden pain that raises in his heart. He needs to have his mind, body, and heart in control again... He needs his life back.
The sudden thought that if he needs his life back means Gea was out of sight raised creepy feelings inside him and fear that tremble him hard, fear of losing her, not able to see her or talk to her. Tears uncontrollable flooding from his eyes. something that never happened since year's ago.
He read the text from DJ confirmed they safe arrival at their apartment, that must be sent when he was in the shower.
Changing in comfortable clothes...
David left himself fell back in his bed let his heart and mind conquer him tonight,he falls asleep when dawn starts to cradles up.
