35. On the way back
"Gea, I know you are hesitant and still figure out your own feelings... but what is the loose of trying and accept the situation. Even it called a relationship it is involved two-person to be called that, You need to talk and be honest with each other to have the understanding, neither of you is an Angel who could read other's mind so stop assuming and start asking questions to get the answer, will ya... I already put your belongings in David trunk. I'll ride your car with Ava"
"Why do I feel, I've heard those words somewhere?" Gea gave Dave a punch in her shoulder while his let out his laughter
"A nice psychologist gave that advice if I am not mistaken"
"Can I change your decision on the trip back arrangement, how about you ride with David and let Ava ride with me?"
"Nope that is not going to happen"
"Hmmm, how about the four of us ride in one car, like that your service as my chauffeur will be deducted"
"Hmmm, tempting but a ride with Ava along the way back is more tempting"
"C'mon is there no way to change your mind" Gea look up at Dave with the very pleading face that she can make it
Dave just look at his little sister hugged her tight and kisses her forehead
"What can I do to you"
David walks out of the house only to find Gea car just leaving, he took all the air to his lungs hope it will clear the suffocating feelings that he had when saw the white Lexus took off
David went to his car thinking to park in the garage and take the train back as he does not have the energy to drive anymore
David open his driver seat only to be surprised by the voice that he missed the most even with the presence of the owner as of the voice never talked to him since they parted that night
"Dave asked to be alone with Ava... if you do not mind can I ride with you, but if you prefer to be alone at least can you drop me to the train station? "
"Sure, I'll drop you off" David talk negligently
Gea feelings a bit hurt but she thinks she deserved it, the way she asked David to back out that night and her behaviour around him after that she thought she will act the same or even worse if she were in David position.
Gea sank a bit in her seat, she put the seat belt and nod to David when he looks at her
David talk nothing anymore and start the engine heading to the train station
She looks really cute when she felt guilty, it's just David wishes she not bitten her lips like that, it tortured him.
He wants to use his thumb to brush those lips from getting bitten by the owner or offer her his lips instead to be bitten by her.
David stop in the grocery store in near of the train station
"Gea do you mind to buy me water in a couple of bottles? I forgot to bring mine while I do not have reserved in my car, as you know it's kinda hard for me to buy it by myself"
"Sure, Gea went to the grocery store, to buy the water
David dance inside his car and sent a thank you message to Dave
" It still times, and not too far away from the station anymore, I could walk from here" It was just an excuse as the train station, wasn't far from their house as well, Gea does not think that he actually prefers to drive alone back.
"I don't think two hours by car is not far away, hop in I'll drop you off, I don't take no as an answer!"
"But you said you just gonna drop me off" Gea still disappointed and not really pay attention to David word"
"Yes, I'll gonna drop you at your apartment in S City, c'mon hop in... or do you wanna make me carry you cause for sure I'll do it right now"
Gea jumped in as soon as David said so, she knew David not joking bout it, he definitely gonna carry her if she does not board right away
David grinned saw Gea jumped in, he put her seat belt then drive away
fifteen minutes on the ride Gea asked David to park near the city park. It has places for children to play, seats for couples and family as well.
It's really quiet and nobody can be seen as the night already late
Gea could see David struggling with something but He tried to cope with it, that's why she asked him to park and rest for a while.
When they took a rest in one of the couple's seats Gea saw some beads on David's forehead, she back to the car and took some tissue out to wipe David's forehead
"Are you okay how are your feelings?" Gea sounds worried
"I am okay, but if I need to get sick in order to gain your attention like this, can I say so?"
"Do not talk nonsense!"
Gea start to really worried
Gea checks her phone for the time... it shows 10:30 pm, she then saw an incoming message after she read that message she passes David a bottle of water that she took together with the tissues.
"Can you wait here? I need to get back at the car to take something"
"I'm fine! I won't runway either so go get what you need to take"
David wondering why he feels really tight in his chest and the beads started to appear on his forehead. He holds his chest, does not pay attention to Gea that runaway straight to him
Gea asked David to drink the water slowly and lay down on the bench, using her lap as his pillow.
When she saw David was a bit better she asked him to sit down and open the bag that she runs took it when saw a message before
"You haven't eaten anything for dinner, haven't you? if Jane does not send me a message telling that Edward left your pack of food in the car I assume you had your dinner" Gea sounds a bit angry
"It's still warm, you should eat now, your stomach was empty so you need to eat slowly. "
The food still in good condition, it one of the finest restaurants, therefore, they use a container that preserves food at the right temperature.
While David eat Gea called a chauffeur service, she won't let David driving in that state. besides, it's David car and not hers
Gea text Dave and DJ explained the situation and let them know that she'll be arriving late than planned.
"What kind of situation happened during your date which prevents you from eating your meal?" Gea asked David sarcastically
David just finished his food, he clenched his fists hearing what Gea just saying. Emptied his water he stands up.
He does not try to hide his Grimm expression, he cupped Gea chin tight with his finger, do not care if it hurts as her words hurt him a lot
"Don't try me... your actions who avoid talking directly with me during our trip to the restaurant make me lose my appetite!"
Gea avoided looking at David in the eye completely failed, David's finger on his chin made her have to close her eyes if he does not want to look at him in the eyes
"And the date never happened in the first place as Edward was there and we talked business, where one of our reporters caught me coming out from her cab as I was walking aimlessly ending up in the middle of the crowd and gladly saw Olivia in a cab, board on not knowing that Lyla was in the back seat, they dropped me off in front of moms house waving goodbye, then she yells at me 'see you tonight'."
David pause for a while, to let Gea absorbed all his words and control his emotions because this woman keep triggering it without knowing how much he tried to deal all this with using his logic and not his heart knowing that she would not like the result if he dealt all this based only on his heart
"I made sure to Edward and Lyla that I do not want to let this baseless rumours spreading as usual coz not like before, this time I had someone heart that I care more than anything else and I want to protect it from breaking apart. Jane walk-in saying you had difficulty dealing with the Twins that hardly sobber coz it way past their sleeping hours. I stormed out worry of you only to be greeted by a nod and let me carry one of the Twin and disappeared"
"I went to settle the bill, but Edward already deal with it" Gea cut to explain why she left him after he took Ben from her
"Lyla wants to go back with me to 'S' City but get cut by Edward, I thank him a lot for that... it results in I be able to get this trip back with the woman that I wish for"
Gea put her face down not dare to lookup
David continue to talk
" I rushed everything in order to ride back beside you when I got out of the house My soul feels left my body seen your car drive away as soon as I got out of the house. Thinking to leave my car and took the train I intend to park my car when I found you there waiting for me.... now tell me what you think that makes me lost the hunger?"
David fingers never left her chin, as soon as he ended his talk with that question he moves the chin up, put another hand in her waist bring her closer to him and kissed her mouth... he let out all his emotions there hoping Gea could read it, he kissed both of her lips consecutively while Gea stands there surrender to David act doing nothing leave him to kiss her lips passionately letting out all the emotions that he tried to control for the whole time the frustration, the hurt of wanting her, the jealousy feeling the joy that saw her smile, her happiness the words that sometimes sent needle to his heart, the teasing the laughter that he keeps missing soon after the laugh stops, her voices that send butterfly to his stomach, David hold her even tighter after part their lips and puts her forehead above Gea forehead.
Gea trying to catch up her breath that been sucked up by David for more than seven minutes or so
"Excuse me which one of you is Ms Graham? I am the chauffeur that sent to drive you "
David took the key in the table to pass it on to chauffeur, clean up the table
He took Gea hand and bring her to the car, Gea still silent as she tried to absorb and understand everything.
David tells the chauffeur it's ok to drive away while he lowers one of the seats for Gea to get a nice sleep. He put the travel pillow on Gea neck and asked her to relax. Gea still not let out a word she just signalled David to put his head on her lap as she saw David still look pale.
David put his head on her lap holding his hand tightly soon after both of them fall asleep
