Chapter 15 «Again at the Anteiku»

The next day, Ken woke up early in the morning due to the alarm set by himself the night before. Turning off the alarm, Ken checked the clock in the phone he bought a few days earlier, noting the time, 6:00 am.

"Ugh ... so soon, I want to keep sleeping ..." Ken murmured.

Yet, thinking back on the previous day, he pushed himself out of that bed and ended up directly in the bathroom.

This is the time he put the alarm on, after all, everything that happened yesterday made it clear to him that he absolutely needs to improve his body and the best way to do that is constant training.

So, early in the morning of the following day, Ken decided to start even though it wasn't a 'great' start.

The habits that have been cultivated for a long time are difficult to change.

Ken after that, put on a short-sleeved shirt with shorts. Since it is still May, there is a meagre chance of getting cold even if it is morning.

The first thing Ken did was definitely run. It's the most effective way to start a training day, obviously all this not before a nice warm-up for the muscles. Ken set himself the goal of crossing the finish line every day of the previous day, a bit like a certain 'bald' guy did, breaking his own limits.

Ken doesn't even dream of becoming Saitama version 2.0 by doing his own training, so he left it alone. For this, he continued with the same training he did on his home planet, well, the other dimension in general, after all, both are planets Earth.

All this until 10:00 am, after which, upon returning home, he took a nice shower to freshen up. Today Ken decided to revisit the Anteiku; after all, after that first day, he never revisited it even though he decided to go every single day.

Meeting Rize so out of the blue wasn't pleasant. Even if he doesn't hate her or so he believes, Ken wants to try to avoid her to avoid possible problems in the future. Even though Ken sympathizes with Rize, that doesn't mean he likes her. On the contrary, Ken wants to meet the characters that make this world so interesting. He has no feelings for Rize Kamishiro.

So, after having washed and dressed, Ken left the house, he does not need to go to the Anteiku with a transformation, he clearly knows that no one in this world knows him. Therefore, he does not run the risk of being 'eaten' or being 'hunted' by both ghoul or human factions.

Also, as long as someone doesn't damage the reputation of the place or pose serious problems, the Anteiku will never act, which is another reason why Ken has peacefully gone to the place without much thought.

Not to mention, Ken now believes that if he were to come out as Accelerator, and if he were seen, in less than a few minutes, he would be surrounded by CCG members.

This thing Ken wants to avoid it absolutely, he cannot afford to start a 'war' of attrition that he cannot win.

Ken, in this way, leaving the house started walking in the direction of the cafe, while admiring that peaceful morning with clouds of a thousand shapes carried by the wind.

After fifteen minutes, Ken has finally arrived at the place, the same entrance that looks innocent and pleasant, just as he remembered it from last time. Without thinking too much about it, Ken entered.

"Welcome."

This time it's not Touka's voice that Ken has heard, but it's a masculine voice that seems to have been through a lot.

Turning his head, Ken observed the manager of the place and father of Eto Yoshimura.

Ken, with a smile, looked into the manager's eyes and replied, "Hello."

The manager immediately turned his head to look at the stairs behind him.

"Touka, there is a customer," the manager said without any rush in his tone of voice. This is because he saw that Ken's face was serene, without any rush, for this reason, he decided to call Touka, after all his role is to make coffee that other customers have ordered.

Internally, however, the manager can not help but observe that customer who with a smile had started looking at the place. The manager recognized him immediately as soon as he saw that face, what was said a few days before is not easily forgotten, not to mention that it is something that concerns the ghouls, or at least the thought that this person has about the ghouls.

When the manager had heard him talking to Rize, he had noticed that the boy's tone of voice did not present any disgust towards the ghouls, as if everything was normal.

If Ken were to hear what the manager is currently thinking, he couldn't help but laugh, after all, his feeling for ghouls is not really a disgust, but it sure isn't a good feeling. It's something every single normal person would feel. After all, eating human flesh is seen as something horrible. The reason he said those words is simply because he wanted to establish a certain 'relationship' with the ghouls, or at least be remembered.

This place has a rule of not chasing any person who drinks coffee here, and this applies to all ghouls, even those from outside.

By saying that, Ken got into the minds of every single ghoul present here so that he could be remembered. Ken bet that time, what he said was definitely a double-edged sword; if the situation didn't go for the best, he would be targeted by ghouls interested in him like Rize. Still, after that, he saw that the situation definitely went for the better.

"I am coming!" a voice came from above the stairs. A voice full of haste, after a few seconds, Ken could hear a series of footsteps coming down the stairs; besides, he recognized the voice. After all, it belongs to Touka.

In fact, after about five seconds, Touka in her uniform appeared before Ken's eyes, the only perhaps 'flaw' is that her hair was a bit messy.

"I apologize for keeping you waiting!" Touka said, bowing slightly, right after she took Ken to the same place of last time.

"What would you like?" Touka asked as she tried to fix her hair.

"A Blue Mountain, thank you" Ken replied, looking at that scene with a smile.

"You still have that coffee in your mind, right?" Touka said in a joking tone, then went to the manager to deliver the order.

However, without Ken expecting it, Touka went back to his table and sat down opposite him. The blue eyes were looking seriously at Ken, he didn't know what to do, so in an uncertain tone of voice, he asked Touka.

"Er, Miss, is there something?"

Ken doesn't know why Touka sat in that chair, not to mention that her eyes weren't kidding, which is why Ken stood at attention, cautiously waiting for what Touka wanted to tell him.

"Forget about Rize."

"Uh?" Ken does not seem to have understood Touka's words, so he revealed a confused expression.

Touka seems to have expected this, so after taking a breath, she continued, "I said, forget about Rize, don't follow her, don't get close to her, don't do anything with her."

Ken clearly knows what Touka is talking about, but showing a confused expression; he asked Touka in an uncertain tone of voice.

"May I know the reason for this?"

Touka, who in the meantime got up, froze slightly and then, turning around, she said, "She's not someone you can deal with, so I repeat, forget about her!"

Ken then saw Touka leave to welcome the new customers who had just entered. Meanwhile, Ken showed a thoughtful expression, after all, he understood, and it was also his goal to not get too close to Rize, but from Touka's words, it seems that he has intentions towards Rize.
