Goodbyes

After the first three months he changed my training sword out for a real one. I spent 4 more months training with that before we moved on.

"So now that you have learned how to weld a sword we need to head to our next destination. Tonight I need you to say goodbye to your mother and pack your stuff. We leave tomorrow at dawn."

"Where are we going? Why do we need to leave so soon?"

"We are going to a magician that I know, so that you can learn how to use your magic properly. We must leave so soon because evil is said to be rising in the north."

I sonder home passing by all the familiar things. I drag my feet as I walk into my house not wanting to have to say goodbye. My mom turns around and sees my face.

" What's wrong darling?" she questions in a sweet voice. I run up, hug her and start to cry into her dress. She looks at me in worry.

"Uncle says we have to leave tomorrow."

She nods in understanding as sadness slips on to her face. Once I calm down she helps me pack all of my stuff before we eat dinner and fall asleep in each other arms.

As the sun starts to rise we are woken up by a knock at the door. I open it to see uncle. He comes in and grabs my bag. My mom wakes up and we say a tearful goodbye before I set off on the next part of my journey.
