CHAPTER 18

I yawned as I stretched my arms. I opened my eyes and looked around

What happened here? I asked my self, looking around

The memories came back when I saw everyone and everybody. I smiled. Yesterday was lovely. Apart from talking, we also played games while eating other things from the chicken.

I gradually and carefully got up so that I wouldn't interrupt any of their sleep. I went upstairs to take a bath. I changed into a pair of jeans, black jewel singlet with seaweed jacket along with a brown pair of boot

I went back downstairs, placed my boot beside the stairs, and went to the dinning. I didn't feel like cooking and I was sure no one else wanted to cook, so I settled with cereals for everybody. I set three pairs of bowls down, variety of cereals since I wasn't sure of the preferences, sugar for the ones that needed it , and lastly, milk. I didn't want to take golden morn, so I decided on Weetabix. I warmed the milk, and as I was about to start eating, everyone started coming into the dinning

"You're all awake. Morning" I waved my spoon to them and continued with my food

"Cereal?" my mom asked

"I didn't feel like cooking and I'm sure no one else wants to"

"How can you be so lazy?" Edward asked

"The cooker is just over there" I replied him

He grunted, them came to sit. Everyone sat the way we sat the night before, just that it was around the dinning table instead of the center table

"Any plan for today?" Jessica asked my mom

"Shannon and I are going out for a date"

"Alex and I are just going to hang out" Edward asked

"Then, I guess it's just two of us then" my mom said

"You can just do what it is that mother, women do" Alex said

"And what could that be?" Jessica asked

"Gossiping" he answered

"Shopping" Edward said

"Talking about your children" I said

"Going to a spa" Kim said

They looked at each other, before they smiled

"Okay then, we'll find our way" my mom said

After eating, the rest of them went upstairs to get prepared

"I picked out your cloth already. It's on my bed" I told him before she left

"If anyone think I'm a lesbian, I'm throwing you into a river" Kim said when we entered the car

"Why would they think that?"

"Our clothes" she replied in a duh tone

"And it's okay for you to be a murderer?" I asked

"I will only be a murderer if I get caught"

"I'm going to haunt you until you surrender"

"Then I guess I better start looking for an exorcist" she said

I gasped

"I think we should reconsider our relationship" I said

She looked at me

"It's too late. Once you enter, you can never go back" she said with a smile

I smile then focused back in the wheel, nodding my head

"I'm glad" I said and started the car

"A movie?" I asked

"Yes, let's watch a movie"

Watching a movie means going to a cinema. Going to a cinema means going to a dark place. Going to a dark place means danger. Red alert

"Why? What's wrong? You don't want to?" Kim asked

It's not that I don't want to, I can't

I looked at her face and I couldn't repeat what I said in my head with my mouth

"Of course I do" I told her with a nervous smile

I should be fine, I told myself

I told myself that I would be fine, but I took that back the moment a door was the only thing separating me from the cinema. The movie we picked had already started, meaning that it's already dark inside

"Let's go" Kim said

"Wait!" I exclaimed stopping her from her tracks in opening the door

"What?" she asked eyes widened

I took a deep breathe, then smiled at her

"Nothing, let's go" I told her

"What in the world" she said opening the door

I held my breathe as I started walking inside

I can do this, I can do it, it's nothing, I can..

I stopped walking after four steps

I can't do this

"What?" Kim whispered

I wanted to answer, but before I could I saw him

My breathe started to increase

"Shannon"

I started taking small steps backward

"No" I said

"No what"

His smile

"No" I shook my head vigorously

Thankfully, before I could get worse, the darkness was gone

I breathe a sign of relief

After I calmed myself, I looked back up and saw Kim looking at me. Her eyes were ones of concern, confusion and questions

I toyed around with my drink

We came out of the cinema to an eatery. I could feel Kim's gaze on my head, and I mentally thanked her for rolling her tongue, her word, but I knew I had to tell her. Even if it's not today, I knew she would know someday. I couldn't bring myself to tell her everything, but maybe just the shell

"I don't just have a bad history with my dad, it's a terrible traumatic one" I started raising my head up

"I can't tell you everything now, but I can tell you the summary?" I asked

She nodded my head

"He and my mom finally went their separate ways when I was eight, but I wished the had done it sooner. He was the worst, he didn't care about anything or anyone else but himself, and how to succeed. I despised him, to the point when I actually wanted to kill him even when I was young. I can't be in darkness because of him. My mom and brother suffered because of him. I suffered. I regret the day his parents gave birth to him, someone like him should not even be in this world"

Not surprising, I didn't cry. Kim laid her hand over mine and smiled a small smile at me. I small back. She squeezed my hand

"You grew up well" she said

I laughed

"I agreed to that" I said

She smiled, then leaned on her chair

"So, what do we do now. Apparently, a movie is out of it since my girlfriend loves the light so much" she said

"An amusement park?" I suggested

She had a thinking face before bursting out in smiles

"And that's where we shall go" she said

"I'm back" I said as I entered my house

"No one asked" my brother said

"How was you day?" my mom asked

"Should I prepare myself to have a sister-in-law" Edward asked with a worried face

I just decided to ignore him as I closed the door to my room

I showered, changed to my night clothes, and laid on my bed

Today was really nice. Whoever says that the amusement park is only for kids should go see an anti-sadist psychiatric

I closed my eyes drifting to sleep
