Chapter 27: A ring

"One small crack does not mean that you are broken, it means that you were put to the test and you didn't fall apart."

- Linda Poindexter

Arsala's POV

Staring at the huge stone resting on the ring, it stares back at me. I can't believe I said yes and more so I can't believe I'm engaged like I'm actually someone's fiancée. Any sane woman would be thrilled about it but for some reasons I'm not over the clouds about it.

Last night was Ahmad's my birthday, who is now my fiance. A lot happened within the three years that went by. I and Ahmad crossed path again after what happened at the wedding reception. Turns out he and Haider are friends.

He told Haider he likes me and wanted to get to know me more. I was against it but Haider forced me into being friends with him. Two years ago courtship came into play and last night he proposed.
