Train ride.
The first thing that happened was a Rock Paper Scissors March between Luna and Fluer on who gets to cuddle in my lap for the ride to hogwarts. They were the most touchy feely of the girls and love physical contact with me the most. Hugs, Hand holding, cuddles and movies. Luna ended up winning and happily sat on my lap resting her head on my shoulder and taking out a book on strange animals I had given her. Fluer just huffed in defeat before sitting by my side and claiming a arm as her own and hugging it happily.
Daphne sat on my other side quietly and properly and took out a book andromeda had suggested for her in potion making. Across from me sat Susan with Tonks near the window and Padma near the door. All of these girls had different personalities.
Daphne was a cold icy princess to everyone but those she cared about. But secretly also loved hand holding and hugs in private. Susan was a hard working girl with a jolly and friendly personality. Tonks was the tomboy and loved to do anything from pranks and wresting to watching ufc and playing video games. Padma was the quiet one usually always reading a book but she was always attentive to everyone's needs and would help out whenever needed.
Luna just loved animals and any kind of attention and pudding she also loved to play odd games. Fluer also craved my attention and was usually always around me.
With all our trunks on necklaces and the owls flying to hogwarts on their own we didn't really have much to worry about. I of course brought extra money to buy out the snack cart when that arrived. We had all gotten hugs from Amelia who had escorted us to the train station. Narcissa and Andromeda were already at hogwarts preparing their classrooms and offices and preparing for the feast.
We could hear kids shouting to their parents as the train whistles time for take off. With one final whistle the train rocked into motion.
Outside the compartment I could make out a red head who peeked inside then scampered off. He passed by a few times apparently looking for something or someone. I watched it all with a smirk on my lips before reading the animal book with Luna.
After a little while and a few more passes by a red head the snack lady showed up and I happily bought everything but those licorice wands. Black licorice sucks ass. Some of the things had to be eaten right away but I could save some of the boxes of every flavor beans. I enjoyed the chaos of the beans never knowing what kind of treat or trick you may receive. Being in a compartment filled with girls the chocolate didn't last very long and I'm pretty sure Tonks snagged most of the bubblegum. Every so often is hear her pop a bubble and continue chewing. Luna had her own personal pudding cup stash she saved for trips that she was spooning to herself and me. And Fluer was just eating a cauldron cake and looking at a fashion magazine from muggle London. She had my arm wrapped over her chest and was leaning on me happily.
There was a knock on the door and it opened revealing a bushy brown haired girl. "Pardon but has anyone seen a toad a boy named Neville seems to have lost his." She says looking at us.
I flick my wand out of my holster and point it out the door. "Accio Neville's Toad." It takes a second but there's a whooshing noise as a toad flies right into the room into Lunas outstretched hand. She hand it over to the bushy haired girl with a smile. "Here you go."
The girl looks at me with a shocked expression. Before she can say anything I've already beat her too it. "That's a fourth year spell called a summoning charm really simple just imagine what you want and then point your wand and say Accio said item. Usually it works. By the way I'm also a first year so are all my friends here if you need anything else don't be afraid to ask. But you should probably get that toad back to Neville before it hops away." I say pointing at the squirming toad.
"Oh right sorry!" She says with a blush before quickly leaving.
Other than Hermione visiting the whole trip was quiet. There was no malfoy crabbe or goyle. Their fathers had left England to escape from whatever calamity was befalling them as they figured it was old Voldemort himself. It was a nice relaxing quiet train ride. When we got closer to hogsmeade I politely let the girls change in the compartment and swapped into my robes in the hall. I really don't like robes.
After we were all changed about 10 minutes later the express pulled into the train station. We all marched out and heard the booming voice calling for first years. I figured this was hagrid as I had let him stay on as games keeper I also saw Ron weasely still trying to find Harry Potter probably on demand of dumbledore since dumbledore wasn't allowed on the premises or he would be forcefully ejected by the wards.
"First years over here please." Hagrids voice boomed out. When all the small kids found him he started talking. "Follow me. It's tradition for the first years to take the boats to the castle." He says and leads us on a path towards the lake where a bunch of little boats are.
"Alright then no more than four to a boat if you will." He says and we all scramble towards the boats.
Luna, Daphne and Fluer ride with me in my boat.
Once everyone is in their boat hagrid taps them with his umbrella and they all start to slowly move forward across the lake. Soon enough we catch sight of hogwarts lit up over the water and I must say it does look quite beautiful in this view.
