Chapter 6, Her perspective

Trigger Warning: Sexual Harrassment and Abuse.

'Her hair was undercut, short with a black and white color. Her eyes glowed a blue, ocean like color. She had a slim, curvy, and muscled body. That night she stared at me, I looked at her back. She looked to be a creep, staring at me like that. Then we met once again in a bathroom in the merchants store, my uncle was at an auction. I was alone for the day, until we bumped heads which quite hurt me honestly but the way she spoke, her voice was soft but feirce and it had its way to strum the soft strings of my heart. She had the audacity to call me kitten, I told her my name was Destiny but she just wouldnt stop like it was a game. But I was lonely that day and for some odd reason, she brightened my day. I cant get her out of my head, Sky's her name. Its a beuatiful name, a strange one for the bounds people. Usually their names would be Guts or Blood, something revolting such as that. Thats what I hear anyway, after seeing her I dont think the bounds is that bad maybe just misunderstood. I could never tell anyone in Idophos I've talked to a bounds girl, especially my uncle. I would be seriously punished if he ever found out, she spit on his shoes that night. I couldn't help but smile when I was going to buy him a fresh pair, I've always wanted to spit on his shoes. I could never though, people would judge me and I cannot let that happen. Not again, anyway I've been feeling this weird tingling sensation in my chest when I think of her. My stomach ties into knots and its hard to breath, my face turns red and everything seems to become hot and sweaty. I dont like this feeling but I dont nessicarily hate it, this feeling is new.' Destiny stopped writing and laid down her pen. "Destiny! Come down here and eat your dinner!" Her uncle, Isaac, called from downstairs of the large mansion. She ran downstairs but nearly tripped, her cheeks glowed a bright red but her uncle had no time to notice. "Destiny, get me the bottle of wine on your way. Today was an exhausting day at the daily auction, the highest bid was not me though. It was another, next time will be different though...Destiny! Get your head out of the clouds and get me some wine! And make it snappy!" Destiny nodded as she poured him a glass, he then slammed his hands against the table. "I said get me the damn bottle, not a glass! Open your ears, your just like your mother! She never listened to your father, and look how that turned out." He stopped and sighed, "Start listening better." She nodded, clenching the bottle tightly. When she brought it to him, her hand slipped and down went the bottle. The liquid spilt everywhere and with that the only few drops in the bottle went, drip drip drip. Destiny gasped and grabbed a towel, she started wiping the mess up quickly.

"Destiny thats enough." She kept cleaning until he grabbed her arm tightly, "I said thats enough!" She flinched with tears rolling down her face. He let go and ran his fingers through his hair. "Just go." Destiny hesitated, "I- I'm sorry!-" He threw the bottle down toward the ground with it shattering. "I SAID JUST GO, OPEN YOUR EARS AND GO!!!" Isaac pulled Destiny by the arm and yanked her out the dining room. He slammed the doors shut, leaving Destiny going up to her room quickly while sobbing.

Once she got up to her room, she cried. She cried hard into her pillow, she felt like screaming till she threw up her lungs. All she wanted was to be looked at by another perspective. She wanted people to notice her as a kind person, not a disappointing clutz. She didn't want people to see her for her past, what happened between family, childhood. She wanted people to see the real her.

She started to pack but realized she couldn't, she couldn't be seen running away. She put some coins in her pocket and put her hair up in a bun. Destiny then put on a water resistant jacket over her tank top and a pair of shorts, fit for running. She was ready to leave, not forever though even if she wished it could be, one way or another her uncle would find her.

It was pouring outside and pitch black but the 'wonderful' lights always brightened the streets enough to see. She snuck out the door and immediately went from a sneak to a jog, people glanced at her weirdly as she ran through the streets. She cut through alleyways until she couldn't help but sprint, she kept running. Her legs burned but she couldn't stopped, she closed her eyes and was still crying. Until...

Moments later she was on the ground, dirt all on her face, knees and elbows bleeding, but she didn't realize where she ran too. She was in the bounds right on the forbidden side, Bone's side. He stepped out the shadows and walked around Destiny as she was down on the ground gasping for air. "Well well well, what do we have here. Idophos girl, I can tell from how frightened you look...and sexy." He bit his lip, "What is a gorgeous woman like you doing in the bounds, especially on my side." He made violating gestures to her like whistling and remarking her body. Destiny finally spoke, "I- I'm sorry!-" Bone squat down and ran his fingers through her wet hair. "Why apologize? We have been blessed by such a beuatiful lady such as yourself." She looked around, "We?..." Bone laughed, "Well of course I couldn't have you all to myself. Sharing is caring afterall baby." He whistled and three other men came stumbling out the shadows, drunk as ever. "Boys, look what I have." One man giggled and made more violating gestures to her, another was busy throwing up, the third one looked ready to do the worst. Bone laid his fingers gently on her thigh and began moving up, "Soft skin, just what we like." She kicked him away and tried to get up but he pulled her down. "Where do you think your going? The fun hasn't even started." She struggled and he was on top of her trying to get her to stop moving. Then someone came running up the street and slammed one of the guys against the wall, and with that he fell. The other guy got beat quick and then there went the third, while Bone was distracted the mysterious person pulled him up and slammed him to the ground choking him. Destiny sat there crying, didn't even want to look. She just wanted out of this place, once Bone was unconscious the mysterious person stepped out. It was Jackal, she held out her hand. "It's okay, it seems you went the wrong direction." Destiny quickly took her hand, they walked and barely talked until they got to Jack's house. "You get dry in here, if you would like I can attend your wounds." She nodded as they walked in, when Destiny walked inside she paused. She was hesitant looking at how many people stood in the room, then she saw her. It was Sky and she looked at her, "What happened?! Why are you here?!...Jack?!" Jackal pulled out a chair for Destiny and she slowly sat down. "I'd like to ask you how you know her but that's not important...right now. Gidget grab me the first aid kit." Gidget nodded as they ran in the other room and back. Destiny couldnt help but stare at them, Gidget looked different. Jack cleaned and bandaged the scrapes, Sky grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around her. Destiny had a soft smile printed on her face. Jack sat down in a chair and waved a dismissal hand towards Copper and Gidget. Of course Al was already asleep. "Now how do you two know eachother?" Skyler gulped as Destiny looked away and tried to get up. "I should really go-" Jack put her back in the chair, "You should really sit right there is what you should do. I'm not done with you Idophos girl, you and Skyler both got explaining to do. Sky you go first, explain." Sky took a drink of water, "Uhhh so it was a certain day and-" Jack stopped her right there. "I already know your going to lie. Idophos girl-" Destiny trembled with her words, "Destiny...I- It's Destiny. T- Thats my name." Jackal took a few seconds to look at her, "...You explain to me, I know you won't lie to me. You better not anyway." Destiny gulped, "...There was a night, she stared at me and it was really creepy so I stared back. She also spit on my uncle's shoes." Sky snorted, "I remember that-" Jackal looked at her dead in the face, "Don't." Destiny looked at Sky and continued, "Then we met- well we accidentally ran into eachother in the merchant stores restroom. So we talked until she had to go, she explain that she wasnt a creep or a weirdo and we introduced ourselves. That's about it." Sky felt a soft wave of releif wash over her, been then spoke. "I have a question. Why are you here? Why aren't you back home in Idophos?" Destiny looked down to her feet, "I-...I left, and I'm not going back." Jack took a sip of her coffee even though it was in the middle of the night. "Are you staying here?" Destiny's eyes widened, "I- I really couldn't, I dont want to be any trouble." She got up and walked toward the door but Sky lightly grabbed her hand. "Wait dont go, its not safe out there. At least stay the night, you can sleep in the basement. If you want I can stay with you if you get lonely." Destiny's face turned red, "I- No I really can't." Sky held tighter, "Please, just tonight. I'm serious its not safe, I dont want you hurt." Destiny sighed, "Fine, can you please let go of my hand?" Sky let go and jumped up the air. "Alright!...I mean- this will be good and safe. C'mon I'll show you to the basement, I usually sleep there. We have a pull out couch."

They walked down to the basement and Skyler fixed the couch. "There its comfy and ready." Destiny smiled, "Thank you Skyler." Sky smiled back but even brighter. "Please, call me Sky. If you need anything I'll probably be chilling in the kitchen." She started to walk away, Destiny quickly grabbed her arm but let go quickly. "Um-" Sky turned back around, "Yeah? You can ask me anything." Destiny sighed, "I'm lonely, can you stay with me tonight?" Sky smiled, "Anything for you, kitten." Destiny rolled her eyes, "My name is Destiny not kitten." Skyler jumped onto the pullout couch and got under the blankets and sheets. Destiny stood there, her face red. "C'mon, don't be shy." Destiny got on aswell, beside Sky. They had some space for awhile, "Goodnight Sky." She would say and with Sky replied with, "Night...Destiny."

They fell asleep but as the night went on they moved closer to eachother and stopped until they were practically hugging. Destiny wasn't lonely anymore, she liked this and so did Sky.
