The Beginning

Hello you, yes you, see. I didn't want my life to turn out this way, but hey, it happened anyway.

So, if you're reading this to fill your curiosity about supernatural stuff, I only have one word: Stop reading and keep this book. Somethings are better left unknown. Keep on believing whatever your church told you about spiritual beings and keep on praying to God to protect the sweet life you're living.

What I saw and experienced isn't something a human should face but then again, I'm not human, oops I guess I've said a little bit too much.

Also, if you ever see a dark shadow following you all the time at night and day please don't ask and leave alone, you think fiction is great, trust me it isn't, don't believe me, well I have lived it

The name is Theo Blackheart.

I am currently seventeen years old. My life was as normal as any human's life could be normal, I was a student at Graceville academy till around the middle of this year.

Was my life normal?

Well not really, I was the anti-social type of kid who didn't have any friends well I had Ryan, we were close ever since I started Graceville but I wasn't really bothered, maybe I should have then I would have a lot of friends to distract me to ever get involved with them.

Well my miserable life started around last May, my birthday, it was prom, horrible right? I know. Especially for a non-social person like me, but past me didn't seem to think that. Well I won't blame him, Taylor, my crush asked me to go to prom with her as her date, I know what you're thinking, she takes me there and tries to kill me but nope we had a perfect date…. at least that's what I would love to say.

To be honest I almost backed out on going with her but my guidance counsellor Mr Leon told me that it would be a good experience for me and insisted I go. I didn't want to say no, not after all he had done for me. Mr Leon was also his private tutor who came to teach him at home for free, in his spare time he would like telling me about angels and demons which always got my attention and that time, I only listened to the stories for fun but they came out handy.

So, I accepted the offer to go with her.

When I told Ryan, he hesitated for a bit and asked me whether I was sure I wanted to hang out with Taylor. I didn't reply immediately, I don't know why but I guess my spirit was warning me at that time but as you expected I didn't pay heed to him. Yes, spirits have personalities and genders.

I didn't go home that day, I spent it at Ryan's house selecting suits and hairstyle for the prom, it was as if we were planning my marriage ceremony.

The next day was prom and I had prepared myself with my black suit for Taylor, I waited at her doorstep, the door opened for me to see Taylor, she had braided her black her into a pony style, she didn't wear makeup but she still looked beautiful, she was in a stunning white gown that made her feel like she was glowing in the dark night, she stepped outside.

I expected her to pay no attention to me and walk straight into the car which I borrowed from Ryan, oh I forgot to mention that Ryan's parents were crazy rich. But that's not important, back to Taylor.

Instead Taylor gave me a shy look and asked how she looked, I stumbled my words out "You look beautiful" She smiled and walked into the car, I was still shaken from her reaction that it took me time to realize she was waiting for me to drive us to the school hall. I got into the car and started the car, the engine roared to life and I started to drive.

We got to the hall safely, thank God, now you might be thinking, this guy doesn't know what he is doing, she will kill you or don't go, but I did go and I had the greatest time of my life.

On our way back we laughed and talked about how fun it was, especially when Mr. Leon showed up with a stunning beauty and ended up getting dumped at the spot. Then suddenly car was silent when we got to a deserted part of the road and after some while when Taylor asked a very strange question.

"Huh" I replied, the question came out of the blue so I didn't know what to say, then the car stopped. I became worried, I didn't know how I would explain to Ryan that I had spoilt his car. I pulled the handle in an attempt to get out of the car to check what was wrong with it but it wouldn't budge. Taylor repeated her question,

The atmosphere started to become tense, I started to sweat, something didn't feel right, we were in the middle of no where with no reception and apparently my date wasn't even bothered. I turned to face her, don't know why maybe to confirm if she wasn't afraid but either way, I regret the second I did. Instead of Taylor, well my Taylor, there was a woman that looked like Taylor but with blond hair and …. White Wings, she seemed to be half naked with only a roman loincloth to cover her body. I guess I wasn't half stupid cause immediately the lady looked at me, I tried opening the door, this time it worked. I followed my instinct that told me to run, it was a waste of time of though cause few moments later she was at my front staring into the sky.

"It's been a long time huh" The woman said while still looking up said

Long time for what, I was confused, what was going on?

Taylor lunged at me, she had a sword with her, where did that even come from?

I dodged with a yelp, I noticed a figure in the dark come out and threw something at me, it turned out to be an iron stick, the size of a pen. Then suddenly it was a bow with an arrow at the middle. I didn't have time to process it, Taylor was already heading at me for another strike. I felt my body shaking but out of will to survive I did the most natural ting my body I could think off, I fired the arrow.

It hit her on the chest, pierced through her left breast, then poof she turned into golden dust, before that she had given me a cold stare like to say she will be back.

I breathed heavily, I was filled with terror, my hands were trembling, I was holding just the stick but the even that turned into dust. I heard a car noises coming my way, the tires screeched as it stopped by me, I looked at the driver, it was Mr. Leon.

"Get in" He said and opened the door

I hesitated hoping he wasn't a creature in disguise of a human, C'mon get in before they come. Mr. Leon added.

Who is they? I asked

Oh, I don't know, some group who would end your life for seeing an angel that was supposed to kill you and failed. Mr. Leon replied.

Wait a minute, Angels? I screamed in disbelief

Just get in the car, NOW!

I got in; Mr. Leon drove like crazy he was like who was the main character of Fast and Furious, when we got to the main street of New York, he started driving slower following the traffic. I wanted to take the opportunity to ask him about everything but he beat me to it

Theo, after I tell you this your life will never be normal again, are you sure you want to know about what just happened?

I nodded

Hm, ok then I will tell you

I was too eager to listen and learn about this exciting life that existed beyond humans, if I had known then what I would have gone through, I would never had asked.
