Secret Reveal - Part 1

"Come on, everyone is summoned to the Parthenon," an Angel called out to his Demon friend. Every single living being that God had created was called upon to gather at the centre of His domain.

"Why the haste? We'll reach there either way," the Demon replied, steadily quickening his pace to catch up with his friend.

"Dimitri, haven't you heard the big news?" the Angel questioned his Demon friend named Dimitri.

"Big news?" the Demon inquired as he followed the crowd heading to the Parthenon. While he and the Angel decided to walk, some of them chose to fly.

"Yeah!" the Angel explained, his face brimming with happiness. "You see, there is a word spreading that God has created a new breed of living being."

"So, Illius here can't control his anticipation and wanted a front-row view?" Dimitri joked.

"Of course, you know how I am, right?" Illius commented, accidentally bumping into a burly Demon as he was not paying attention to his surroundings.

Bump!

"Oops, sorry," Illius apologized instantly to recover from his mistake.

"It's alright, kid," the Demon accepted his apology. When Illius realized who he had crashed into, his feelings changed to panic as he saw that he had knocked into Archdemon Belphegor.

"S-S-Sir Belphegor?" Illius stuttered as he slowly backed away.

"Yes, that's me," Belphegor responded with a confused look on his face as he watched the boy retreat.

"I-I'm very sorry about my friend's behaviour, Sir Belphegor," Dimitri intervened and immediately bowed down to apologize. Without waiting for his reply, Dimitri pulled Illius away as quickly as possible. "We're going, now."

"It's not like I was angry or..." With the two of them gone, Belphegor felt like it was pointless to finish his sentence.

"I told you to try and express yourself better," Mammon suddenly picked on Belphegor. "That seriousness would look nice if there was a smile sticking to it."

"Abaddon agrees with what Mammon has to say," Abaddon, who was following behind them, supported Mammon's statement.

"Haha, I can't believe you guys are picking on Belphegor," Sathanas found it funny how Abaddon chose to join Mammon, who always playfully argued with Belphegor at any given time.

"Enough, everyone. We need to behave ourselves," Beelzebub reminded them that as Archdemons, they would be representing the Demon community.

"There goes our party pooper," Sathanas criticized Beelzebub's reminder as she rested both her hands on the back of her head.

"Can't you see that General Lucifer is right in front of us?" Beelzebub argued, pointing out that they were in the presence of Lucifer, accompanied by Asmodeus and the Archangels.

As pointed out, these iconic figures were marching toward the Parthenon. The aura they emanated was so powerful that it unconsciously generated a space for them to move around easily.

"Everyone seems to get the gist of what's coming for them at the Parthenon," Asmodeus whispered to Lucifer, but Gabriel and Michael overheard their conversation.

"Well, they became quite intrigued with the news, so we had no choice but to tell them what we thought," Michael described for Asmodeus to hear.

"After all, we can't lie, can we?" Lucifer rhetorically questioned. Gabriel's response seemed to imply that he believed it was all fate.

"By the end of today, we'll either know or meet this being that God created, right?" Raphael blurted out after analyzing what they had all been talking about.

"Whatever the outcome will be, we're sure to be surprised by it," Jophiel answered for Raphael, as the big four might not have heard his response.

"Why do we have to care so much about things that will eventually be revealed to us anyway?" Camael joked. "I mean, whatever it is, we'll still be introduced to it, and by the looks of it, it's going to be something big."

Before they realized it, the north platform to the Parthenon loomed above their heads. The chat during their stroll made the journey feel shorter. Plus, as mentioned before, all passers-by made space for them to move.

"General Lucifer," Beelzebub greeted them as soon as their paths crossed, gesturing a bow. "We've awaited your arrival."

"While I do appreciate what you have done," Lucifer spoke to his underlings, his gaze sweeping over them one by one, "why didn't all of you just go to the Parthenon since it was God who summoned us, not me."

Dejected, they looked at each other's faces in defeat. They were aware of this trivial matter, but they wanted a personal connection with their leader.

"I'm not mad, you know," Lucifer felt like his words might have deflated them, so he apologized. "Come on, let's go and meet this new being, shall we?"

Though seemingly insignificant, these words had a huge impact on their hearts. The sadness and upset they had felt a minute ago disappeared like a breath of air.

"I know you've been keeping them under control. Well done, Beelzebub," Lucifer spoke softly this time, as the conversation should only be heard by the two of them.

"Thank you, General," Beelzebub expressed his gratitude for receiving the high praise.

"Lucifer, are you coming?" Gabriel called out to Lucifer, who turned to look at him. He saw Gabriel already hovering in the air alongside the other Archangels, ready to head to the Parthenon.

"I'll be right behind you," Lucifer replied and ordered the Archdemons to spread their wings, following closely behind the Archangels' lead.

As they hovered at the landing scaffold, they noticed that the Angels and Demons who arrived before them had formed a ring, creating a podium that rose in height. Due to their large numbers, everyone couldn't fit inside the Parthenon, so the event would be held outside.

However, because of their status, there was a space available to accommodate them in the front row circle. Even if they sat in the back row, the front row would eventually leave their seats and move behind them.

"Is this taking much longer?" Abaddon whispered to Asmodeus, as it had been quite a while since they sat down.

"Who knows? It will probably start soon," Asmodeus tried to reassure the small Archdemon. She knew that his keen interest had overcome his patience.

"Should I go check on God Himself?" Gabriel whispered to Lucifer.

"If you want..." Before Lucifer could finish answering for Gabriel, he had already made his way to the backdoor.

"Sometimes, I wonder why he asks for people's opinions but always goes with what he thinks," Michael muttered to himself, but his voice was loud enough for Lucifer to hear.

Not long after, Gabriel returned with an expressionless face. It was difficult for Lucifer and Michael, who knew about his discovery, to read his expression. Shock, confusion, or even incomprehensibility, nothing could be determined from his facial features.

"Hey, what did you..."

"Shh!" Gabriel silenced them with a sharp gesture. "You'll see."

[Rumble!]

"Congratulations to all who have come here on short notice," the majestic voice travelled along the rumbling clouds, humbling all the beings present.

[Swoosh!]

God assumed a physical form to finalize His appearance. Though visible, His skin was transparent, just as He ruled the world He had created. The armour He displayed on His body was made of platinum, with gold writing that accentuated His beauty.

The Angels and Demons knelt instantly upon seeing Him. The power He exhibited sparked fear out of respect for the creatures He had made. He walked elegantly as if He was traversing the land He had created.

"All praise the Almighty, God!" Gabriel commended, and everyone followed, raising their heads and catching a glimpse of this perfect being.

"To cut to the chase, I am going to introduce everyone to My newest creation: a human, as you have heard," God explained eloquently. "I know some of you have imagined what they would look like, but I assure you, this human that I have created will be the most flawless creation I have made."

God's speech stunned the whole crowd. None dared to speak or question God about the appearance of the human. Those who had imagined what the human would look like now felt terror and remorse for their presumptuousness toward God.

[Creak!]

"Now, behold the first human ever created, Adam." On cue, Adam, the human, slowly emerged from the main door.
