A piece of my heart

After a while lily felt tired so Charles took her home.

"Goodnight Charles"

"Goodnight Lily" he smiled and left. He went to Ace's house to rest.

"Hey bro"

Charles walked in and laid on the couch. Ace got the message that he didn't want to talk so he left him alone. Charles dozed off immediately.

The next morning Lily and Betty prepared for lectures. The final exams were fast approaching.

"Hope you all are prepared?" the lecturer asked

The whole class Was nodded and answered

"Yes"

"That's good"

"You all should make sure to cover your books cover to cover immensely"

"I wish you all luck"

"Thank you sir" they chorused

The class ended early so they could all go home and study.

"Do you know who planned that?" Betty asked lily as they walked out of class

Lily shook her head. As they were walking home lily felt someone glare at her she turned and saw Ashley. She seemed shocked but she sighed at lily and ran out. Lily didn't talk but Betty had seen what Ashley did.

"Its her right?!" lily didn't say a word.

Betty got upset but didn't say anything to lily, they both walked home without saying a word to each other. Betty went in to freshen up, while lily brought out her books.

She heard a knock on the door and she already knew who it was. She lazily came down from her bed and walked straight to the door. She opened it and saw Charles smiling widely at her

"How are you?"

"Fine" and he stepped in. He sat on the couch and she sat on the bed as she focused on her books. He was about to say something when he saw Betty come out. Her hair was still wet, she went over to him and dragged him outside. She shut the door behind her so lily won't hear what they would talk about. Of course she knew lily won't care but....

"Any problem?" he asked surprised

"Yes" she replied Meanly

He swallowed hard.

"Did you know that Ashely sent those boys to attack lily?!"

He fell short of words

"Ashley?!"

"Yes Ashley!!"

"Charles i love the fact that you care for lily but if this your love is going to put her into danger then you better stay on your own" she added as she entered the room shutting the door loudly on his face. Charles was stunned for a moment, he didn't know what to say or react. Betty's words hit him hard, then he remembered her last words

"...stay on your own" he clenched his fists as he stepped out. He decided not to go to her house straight, so he diverted to Ace's place.

"Charles?!"

"Is anything wrong?"

"Sigh" he sat down laying down on the couch.

"its Ashley"

"What did she do this time?" Ace replied not super

Charles fell silent for a while

"She tried to attack lily"

"Wow"

"Ashely did that?!"

"So what you going to do?"

"Give her a piece of my heart" he answered smirking

Ace chuckled. They both talked for a while and Charles left to his home.
